MAJOR Bulls Rumors: Zach LaVine Trade To Golden State Warriors For Chris Paul?

[Music] what’s going on everybody welcome into the Bulls report and coming up on today’s show it is a fun one we are going to be giving an in-depth breakdown over a blockbuster trade which is Zack wavine heading to the Bay Area and joining the Golden State Warriors it’s a wild one I’m going to go through both perspectives on why this could benefit the Bulls and why this could benefit Golden State but before we dive into that guys guys we’re still in our sub battle with our Celtics Today Show and with them making the finals it just kind of you know made me a little upset and I want to catch them in subscribers we have a huge mountain to climb though so if you guys have not already hit that subscribe button to just help us just inch our way into beating Celtics today in Subs but this is the trade idea that I saw floated out there on the internet and I thought it was pretty interesting uh for both sides for uh both these organizations but it was the Bulls receiving Chris Paul Kayon Looney and race Jackson Davis who I like a lot and they would be giving up Zack LaVine in this Blockbuster deal we’ll be diving into each of these players and also on the second half of today’s show looking at it from Golden State’s perspective but I did find this quote from Chris Herring talking about the bows potentially uh acquiring Chris Paul he was actually talking about the BS signing CP3 this summer if he is cut uh from Golden State but hey you could acquire him in a trade for Zack aen this is what he had to say Chicago is going to need a table setter who better to do that than Chris Paul who even as he nears the age of 40 is still a solid offensive player he want to be a long-term answer for the Bulls who have a ton of questions to answer about their roster at large but giving them stability at guard will be a plus for a team that abruptly learned just how good point guard play matters having Paul would make them better whether it’s as a starter or Off the Bench and listen Chris Paul still has jeice like I feel like this is false narrative out there that CP3 is just a cooked product and you know I understand it from a certain extent like obviously you know the Golden State Warriors weren’t really playing in too many Big Time basketball games this past season so I feel like people you know haven’t really watched what CP3 did for that bench unit for Golden State but he was fantastic I mean in only 26 minutes a game I still feel like this is incredible production for your backup point guard I mean still almost averaging seven assists per night and that’s with a golden state backup unit who by no me had a plethora of town it was just a bunch of no-name guys and CP3 got the best uh best use out of them but still averaging nine points incredibly efficient 44 uh. 4% from the field and he’s always had great hands defensively still was able to average you know more than a steel per game and also his offensive rating this past season was still at 127 or 123. 7 which is still very good above the league average and you know I think if you’re looking at like the Bulls as a whole as the roster right now like we’re all hoping Lonzo ball does come back from this knee injury and is just you know somewhat of himself and he could be a very good backup guard in this league but you know let’s just say Lonzo you know he has another step back or step back and the Bulls would still have a big need at that backup offensive uh backup point guard spot and I think CP3 would be a great option and you know just for one year you could still use him as a trade piece to match salary maybe at the trade deadline if the Bulls are somehow competitive next season and they wanted to go all in on a player that you know could ask out from his you know respective organization I think CP3 would be a great choice and the part I love most about this trade is moving off Zack oine and you know his contract is ridiculous $43 million next season 2025 45.9 and in 2026 48.9 I guarantee you this contract will be one of the worst in the NBA over the next three seasons and you know if the Bulls could just somehow move off that man it would be a it would be a huge addition and just a huge positive of this off season and you also at two other guys that they’re getting in this trade Kayon Looney and Trace Jackson Davis so I’ve always been a fan of Kavon Looney and if you guys have watched any playoff basketball over the past you know 10 seasons he’s been very very productive uh Trace Jackson Davis he was fantastic with the Warriors this past year um you know averaged 7.9 points a game he was great in the dribble handoff Department uh with guys like Curry and Clay coming off those screens which I could see him you know being just as effective with IO dum and Kobe white in those actions but look at the field goal percentage I mean 60% for Looney 70% for Trace Jackson Davis and he was still able to average a block a game now if you could somehow you know pair up him on this bench unit if the Bulls do lose Andre Drummond I think Trace Jackson Davis would be a great kind of complimentary piece to any bench unit so if this is the trade that went down where’s be the Bulls getting Chris Paul Avon Looney Trace Jackson Davis I would be throwed about this deal number one you get a move off saav number two I do think you get a you know a solid backup point guard option in Chris Paul where let’s just say the Bulls do make the playoffs like Chris Paul would still be very very effective in the playoffs I think he would just abuse other teams you know using that pick and roll which we’ve seen guys that Kyrie and Luca do all postseason long I mean hence you know the Mavs have some of the most lob points in the league uh during this postseason run I can see Chris Paul you know having that same productivity and also you getting two guys in Kavon Looney and Trace Jackson where if you guys have watched this channel a couple of times I’ve said I like that archetype of Center where it’s you know more defensive and you know uh rebounding focused in comparison to a guy like Vu where he’s more of an offensive-minded big but you guys let me know would you accept this trade if you’re a Warriors fan watching this video I’d also love your thoughts you know as well if you would do this but hey salaries match this would work out and this is the deal where you know the bows obviously aren’t getting any draft picks but again the biggest positive of this for Chicago would be moving off Zack leavine but let me know would you accept this trade a for accept or D for decline coming up next why would the Warriors say yes to this deal if we want to move Zack line so bad as Chicago Bulls fans why would another team want him we’ll give you guys my thoughts here in a second but first off I got to tell you guys about today’s sponsor and that is prize pick if you guys download the prize pick app and use promo code C LNS when you’re is prize picks hit that link prize pi.com CNS and use promo code clns and we will match your first deposit up to $100 all right so this Bulls Warriors trade so you know I think from the Bulls side of things I think they would do this in a heartbeat even though you’re not getting like an elite young player or you you’re not really getting any draft Capital but you know you’re still getting some you know solid Assets in return for LaVine but why would the Warriors say yes well lavine’s still a hell of a basketball player and you know is he a winning basketball player I would lean no but maybe you’re in the camp where that jury is still out and maybe you say you know to yourself like if LaVine would get in the right organization and you know with that winning culture around him they could see the best version of him but I mean these numbers are fantastic you know averaging almost 25 game over the last uh or over the last three or four years you know his past year he was in and out of the lineup due the injury um but he did you know turn around a little bit when he came back the first time but still this was the worst year of his NBA career the efficiency wasn’t there as well and just you know overall struggled but could you imagine this lineup and maybe the new death lineup for Golden State of you run out Curry LaVine Klay Thompson at the three Jonathan kaminga has shown an ability to hold his own at the four and then we remember the old school Golden State Warriors death death lineup Draymond Green was able to man that five pretty pretty well I mean I think of the Warriors you know with what’s going on in the Western Conference if they kind of wanted to go all in on maybe a two-year run with curry clay kaminga Draymond I think Zack would actually be excuse me a very solid option and you know my take about this I think the Warriors are going to be aggressive this summer um I think they’re going to try to take advantage the best they can of uh Curry’s last Elite years because Curry was still great this past season I mean no doubt about it and uh you know I just think Golden State I just think they’re one of those teams not many people are really talking about them I feel like all the talk is about like the Knicks going all in or like a team like the Pelicans but I think Golden State’s kind of a sleeping giant because you know I don’t think they’re going to be in that camp where it’s like we want to just keep the band together and just kind of you know ride off into the sunset and just kind of sit on our Laurels of winning already four championships I think they want to hunt that Fifth and I’m pretty sure Curry his biggest motivation would be catching LeBron James in in rings and maybe a guy like Zack LaVine Steve C did Coach him during the Team USA know period a couple years ago he turned LaVine into a way better Defender and I can see the Warriors calling Chicago this summer obviously as a bulls fan I say this um I would love for the Bulls to get a guy like Jonathan kaminga in a deal like this I just don’t think it is that that likely but you know if the Bulls could somehow swing Trace Jackson Davis and a guy you know like a Kayon Looney I would you know take full advantage of this opportunity that presents itself to Chicago but you guys let me know we’ll round out Today’s Show with this where will Zack oen play basketball next season you guys let me know is it going to be with the Chicago Bulls I’ve thrown out there the San Antonio Spurs we’ll probably make a full video about that is they are a team that I think could be over aggressive in getting you know the NBA Allstar but you guys let me know your thoughts where will Zine play next season and as always guys thank you guys so much for watching just to support on the channel as of recently has been unreal so really thank you guys so much and we’ll uh and we’ll see you guys next time as always make sure you subscribed and uh yeah thank you guys so much for watching uh make sure you are subscribed down uh below hit that sub button see youall next time gos [Music]

ESPN’s Chris Herring on the Bulls Chris Paul rumors:
“Chicago is going to need a table setter. Who better to do that than [Chris] Paul, who, even as he nears the age of 40, is still a solid offensive player. He wouldn’t be a long-term answer for the Bulls, who have a ton of questions to answer about their roster at large. … But giving them stability at guard will be a plus for a team that abruptly learned just how much good point guard play matters.
