the Boston Celtics have finally crossed into the threshold of being a great team because good teams you know they win a lot of games great teams find a way to win games that they’re not supposed to and let’s be real the Pacers should be up 3-1 right now but the Celtics are a great team they’ve got a top five net rating of all time and they found a way to win three of the four games that they probably shouldn’t have won this series and yes they’ve had some injury luck and yes this has been a very easy run to the finals but they done what they’re supposed to it’s not like these have been seven game series that they’re barely squeaking by on I mean they’ve they’ve lost two games in three series dominance the Jays have been really really good this year and with this lineup coming back for the NBA Finals I think they have a chance to tear apart the Dallas defense which we will look at later in today’s video uh and I think they have a really solid chance to go out there and be NBA champions um now let’s first take a look at Jason Tatum and his response to all the noise he probably could have been Eastern Conference Finals MVP he had double the rebounds and assists that Jaylen Brown had however Brown’s efficiency was a little bit better um but Elite when he gets downhill I continue to preach this he is great when he goes downhill when he’s settling for threes it’s not good especially in the playoffs however he has been shooting at a little better a little bit better the last two or three games but he shot at 55% from two-point range versus the Pacers compared to 30% from three-point range get down low they can’t stop you that’s a little boy right there in Ben Shepard made him his son and then going right by Andrew NIMH hard for the easy layup see how easy it is when you get downhill um I mean I swear buddy forgets he’s 6′ n 215 pounds when he I mean maybe it’s cuz he’s 19 and he has you know uh doesn’t have a great memory yet but when he goes downhill he’s nearly Unstoppable and then if he adds his three-point shot in you know I don’t want to see him taking nine attempts a game but if he takes four or five and makes two of them that’s cool uh if we’re 40% from three more than efficient I will take that all day I I just want to see him be more of a driver and I think he’s going to have to be more of a driver because if he’s settling for threes they’re probably not going to win the championship now the MVP of the Eastern Conference Finals was Jaylen Brown who averaged 30 points five rebounds three assists and two steals per game like we said they averaged really the same amount of points and Tatum averaged two more boards or double the boards and assists that he had but Jaylen shot at 52% from the field and 37% from three on seven attempts if he’s shooting at 37 38% from three Tatum is shooting it pretty well I mean this team is nearly Unstoppable especially when you throw in jaylen’s ability to slash and get to the rim but I mean this Jason Tatum Jaylen Brown they are an elite onew Duo the Celtics team has crossed into that threshold of being a great team because like we said they find a way to win um and if JB’s hitting those threes on top of his Elite Driving ability that was a walk but anyways on top of his Elite Driving ability he’s going to be nearly Unstoppable come playoff time or come finals time and then you know they have their Elite role players their Elite role guards with Drew holiday who against the Pacers put up 18 points per game seven rebounds six assists 1.5 steals all while being sick for the last two games and he turned into an absolute sniper shooting at 42% from three on six attempts 5 60% from the field overall we’ll round up that is crazy right there Drew holiday was absolutely on fire against this Pacers team and then you also had Derek white who is their other really good guard probably consensus the best defensive back court in the NBA Derek white can absolutely shoot the cover off the ball he didn’t shoot it the best this series from three but he still average 17 points six rebounds five assists in 39 minutes a game and you know he’s going to bring the straps every single night don’t bring that in here Ben Shepard uh Ben Shepard had a kind of Welcome to the NBA series um get up Aaron n Smith 44% from the field 33% from three two steals 2.3 blocks for Derek white he’s going to be fully rested fully healthy a guy that averaged 20 points seven rebounds two assists two blocks and he completely changes the dynamic of this team um when he is in the lineup when you look at this lineup right here this is a lineup That is top five in the NBA’s history of net rating which means when they’re on the court they score 12 more points per game than the other team I mean that’s like up there with Jordan bulls and no no disrespect to this lineup um but Al Horford is 37 years old and adding tingus Pingus in there instead of Al Horford makes a lot of difference especially when you now can add Al Horford to that bench unit which did kind of struggle against the Indiana Pacers um 52% from the field 38% from three in the regular season four christops per 36 he was averaging 259 two and a half assists and two and a half blocks so a guy that makes a huge impact when he is on the court he just struggles to stay on the court and that has been the story of his career unfortunately but I think against this uh Dallas Mavericks team the five out will work wonders especially getting porzingis back who is a real threat and a real driver against Daniel Gafford and Derrik Lively who have been phenomenal for the Mavericks I think they can tear this defense apart because look at this straight five out really no sets you just let Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown cook and right here you know JT identifies the match matchup gets downhill he’s got two Elite three-point Shooters standing in the corner and he goes up and the guy that comes to contest him at The Rim is TJ McConnell no offense to TJ McConnell but he’s not exactly an elite shot blocker right here Jaylen Brown just goes straight downhill and it’s because you have Derek white Drew holiday and Al Horford all guys that shoot at about 40% from three in the regular season on the three-point line waiting and you can’t help off too much because in the modern analytical NBA you know give up a two-point contested layup is better than giving up an open three once again there you see it right there blowing right by n Smith and then you have the pull-up effect over Nim hard you know Jaylen Brown heats up a little bit now he can either go right by because there’s no help or he can pull up because nimart is worried about him going right by still pretty good defense right there by nimart that’s just a crazy good shot by Jaylen Brown um here we are once again and one one shot fake Blow by Obby toins out of the screen and it’s a wide open shot with a wide open Jason Tatum to your left and then he just gets right here Cooks up Pascal’s got Derrick White in the corner so he can’t fully commit and he gets a wide open layup now they are kind of three ball Merchants they are number one in the NBA in three-pointers attempted and number one in three-pointers made so I guess it’s okay to be number one in the league in attempted threes when you’re number one in made threes they have eight guys first team ever to have eight guys to make 100 threes on the season Tatum let him with 229 Sam Hower in second with 197 Derek White right behind him with 196 pyton Pritchard coming in with 147 so two of their top four in three-pointers made were guys that come off the bench look at that uh Jaylen Brown 145 Drew holiday 138 that kind of speaks to their um depth they had three guys coming off the bench that hit over 100 threes you got KP there with 110 even though we only played 57 games and then you also have Al Horford um so you know they live by the three ball it makes that five very effective but I think the X Factor in this series is kandere white and Drew holiday live up to their reputation as being the best defensive back court in the NBA because they’re going to be tested Luca and Kyrie probably the best two closers in the NBA and they’re on the same team Derek white Drew holiday both standing at 6’4 I’m not sure what they’re going to do about Luca who stands at 6’8 6′ 7 235 pounds and looked just as tall as Carl Anthony towns in a picture they took the other day also his co-star Kyrie Irving is Out For Blood he’s not happy with the whole Boston Celtics the
