[Winderman] Butler’s representation has made it clear that the Heat will be hearing from them at 12:01 a.m. on July 7, with the request for the maximum two-year, $112.9 million extension… With a seed seemingly planted elsewhere [Philadelphia], it appears nothing less will suffice.

Sounds like Butler is just using the Sixers for leverage. *Moving along.*

    Here we go baby.

This fanbase is in no position to balk at what is essentially just a 3 year max for fucking Jimmy Butler. It would be an incredible addition. You’d need shooting around them, but Maxeys ascension makes it all so much easier to put together

Everyone in the heat sub is telling Pat to pay the man. Jimmy Butler is still him. He was busting our ass in the play-in game. Looked very far from “washed”

Tf 2 years? Id do that easily come home then papa

    PLEASE PLEASE I HAVE NOTHING

  4. Better than PG in my opinion. but we’re getting Bron

Can’t they offer him an extension after the finals end? Free agency will effectively be over by July 7th, the tampering period begins June 30

We burnt that bridge with Toby’s contract… He is using us to price gouge the Heat, and I’m fine with it 😀

  7. I know this won’t happen, but just for the fun of it… could we draft Bronny, sign Butler for the max and then sign LeBron for the minimum (if he’s actually that serious about playing with his son)?

U/Morey do opposite of whatever this sub says

2 years on top of the last year on his deal. So 2025-2027 seasons. Honestly not that bad, especially if we miss out on a big name FA.

Cool. Good luck with the Heat. Don’t want washed Jimmy Butler.

I think they’re using Sixers as leverage but I’d take it. Not sure what we’d have to offer in a trade though. Use cap space to absorb a third teams shit contracts?

  12. I don’t want older Jimmy if we have to pay a max. If we’re doing that draft bronny in the second round and give me the big man

Can we just trade for Ingram and move on from the leagues retirement home?

I really hope people (Morey) pay attention to fit. I really think people romanticize how well of a fit Jimmy is here. If you bring him in the other two players that start have to both be absolute snipers for spacing, or else we are getting ourselves into another 2019 situation (strictly in terms of giving Embiid room to operate where he is best).

I get he is a dog and a playoff riser, but I can’t help but feel like he is not going to help the Sixers get further than they already have, just based on his hypothetical fit next to Joel and maxey. I would love to be wrong tho
