He also said KP has been ramping it up DURING the Pacers series and he is not starting it now, during the break. Fucking awesome

It sounds like he’s going to play but my concern is AL has been fantastic for the most part and he is in a great rhythm shooting. You hate to disrupt that and relegate him to a minor bench role.
It’s worth considering taking KP off the bench and giving them both 30 mpg and ride the hot hand. I’m curious what Mazz is going to do here. Vs Dallas I doubt we go double big too much.
The main concern for them both is obviously Dallas is going to work on PNR switches getting Luka and Kyrie on them in isolation and seeing them go at them like they did Gobert/Kat, KP if health is way better suited for that task than Al.
Curry torched Al in the finals and that alone gives me cause for concern because Luka is on heater and Kyrie can spell him when he’s not.

I think if we had played a team like Philadelphia or a full strength Milwaukee he would have played in the conference finals but we had the luxury of being able to rest him

I’m going to be cautiously optimistic but the news is certainly encouraging. I would hate it for the guy if he had to watch the finals in street clothes.
