🚨REPORT: MULTIPLE Teams Want To Trade For Jimmy Butler! Miami Heat Trade Rumors

[Music] uhoh Heat fans I said last week that we weren’t going to talk about Jimmy Butler trade rumors anymore unless something crazy happened well there is a couple of interesting reports out there because there are multiple teams allegedly that would be willing to trade for Jimmy Butler and give him a Max extension we have to talk about that if the heat are willing to give Jimmy an extension because if they are well then we could just put these trade roves to rest we’ll go through it all on today’s show but let me ask you this question to start off the episode would you even consider trading Jimmy Butler whether you want to give him an extension or not would you deal 22 to a different team if it didn’t work out type y for yes or type n for no it does all start with the extension because well let’s just face it if the heat offered him the 2-year Max extension that he wanted right now or at least July 6 7th when he’s eligible to sign that extension well then we have nothing to talk about because he’s going to be with Miami for the next three seasons and he’s likely going to retire a member of the Miami Heat Pat Riley has not really been all that committal to doing so which we’ll talk about in a second but Anthony Chang had this report yesterday of the Miami Herald he said that Jimmy Butler wants a ma Max extension this off season preferably from the Heat but whether it’s from the Heat or another team he wants a Max extension and that’s kind of like the thing here it is obvious it has been reported multiple times Jimmy Butler wants to stay in Miami he wants to retire a member of the Miami Heat it’s a perfect fit for him and his family it’s a perfect fit for the heat because of the way their Styles and personalities match up but this is on the heat if they just gave him the extension and then that’s what they do it’s over like Jimmy wants to be in Miami all these trade rors from Philly these mystery teams that we’ll get into in the back half of the show there would be none of these discussions because Jimmy Butler would obviously be a member of the Miami Heat for the next three seasons but Pat Riley has not really kind of at least publicly gave a statement on him being committed to Jimmy Butler long term because if you remember in the early portion of May when he had the end of the season in press conferences all GMS do and front offices have he said that we don’t have to do that for a year in referring to a Jimmy Butler extension so we have not discussed that internally right now I’ll tell you what Pat you better start discussing it because if you don’t even think about extending Jimmy and if you tell Jimmy that we’re not extending you this off season no matter what we’d love to have you on the heat for the future and extend you next season but we’re not doing it this year well maybe Jimmy doesn’t like that and then he requests a trade so with all that being said I want to know would you extend Jimmy Butler this off season if you want to just get it over with get rid of all the drama and keep 22 here long term Type e for extend if you’re okay rolling the dice if you will and are okay seeing what happens if you don’t extend them this off season type your W for what it if you do type your W’s or if that’s what Pat Riley elects to do in not extend Jimmy these are where the rumors start to fly it can go in a lot of different ways because there’s also been some reports and rumors out there from Ethan skolnick of five Reon Sports Network who says if the heat don’t extend Jimmy Butler this offseason they don’t he think they will trade him but he does Believe Jimmy will play out his last year opt out of his player option with $52 million next offseason become a free agent and sign a max deal over two years with a different team so so there is a different in a lot of avenues this Jimmy Butler trade talk and extension rumors can go and then you get more fuel added to the fire yesterday with Keith Pompei who covers the Philadelphia 76ers reporting that he’s had sources tell him the Sixers are prepared to give Jimmy Butler a maximum extension if the heat star is traded so now Philadelphia has already publicly committed hey we would love to trade for Jimmy if we can’t sign PA George CU it looks like PG-13 is their first option in free agency if they can’t get him they’re going to Pivot to try to trade for Jimmy and then give him a two-year Max extension I’ll tell you this right now there ain’t no way in hell I’m trading him back to the Philadelphia Philadelphia 76 I just ain’t doing it I hate Philly there’s no way I’m giving Butler to the Sixers to pair with embiid and Maxi I just ain’t doing it I hate the team I hate the organization it would kill me to see him go back to Philly to form a big three with maxi and embiid and to be honest the 76ers don’t even have that much of a trade offer that would appeal me we’ll show you what that is in just a second but that’s why I want to make give you is three first round picks likely the 16th overall pick in this year’s draft so if you did that deal you’d have both 15 and 16 you could either take two players back to back or trade them you get a 2026 first round pick now there are rumors out there it could be like a swap of picks between the least favorable between three or four teams but I’d want their unprotected first round pick and then a 2028 unprotected first round pick coming from the Los Angeles Clippers and yeah there are pros and cons this deal I think there’s more cons than Pros but I will say there is one pro like you could theoretically direct those three first round picks you get for Jimmy Butler towards another All-Star type caliber player that fits the BAM at a bio timeline obviously bam is only 27 years old he still got seven seasons left in him including most of his Prime into just a little bit after his prime potentially you can pair him up maybe use those first round picks to get a Donovan Mitchell and you can really build your roster around D Mitch bam and highlevel role players if you wanted to go that way with the abundance of first round picks you would then have so I do get why there could some appeal to take the 76ers package but when you take in the fact of having to send him to Philly and you’re not getting any players back because the only people they have under contract right now is jool embiid Paul Reed and a couple of Scrubs and Ricky Council and some other no-name guy I’m just simply not doing a package where you get absolutely no player in return now you but once again you do clear a lot of money off your books you’d have a lot of money to spend in for agency and you would uh obviously get three first round picks there are allegedly a couple more teams interested but first morning Anthony chain dropped a major nugget here surrounding Jimmy Butler he said that along with the 76ers according to League sources there are two other teams that have made it known in League circles that they would be willing to trade for Butler and sign him to a Max Level contract Butler turns 35 on September 14 I’m not having a fun time man I’m not I I I don’t like talking about the rumors surrounding my star players being traded for I find it much more fun when we’re talking about trading for Don Mitchell Brandon Ingram Damen Lillard Giannis blah blah blah I don’t like when they attack our guys it’s not as fun if you’re asking me but I do think it’s intriguing at least to explore what the mystery teams could be because if you’re taking them apart from the 76ers well these teams probably have much more of a better chance to at least entice me with a trade package and these are the four teams that I think could be the two mystery teams obviously not all four of these teams would be interested CU there’s only two two reported mystery teams so I’m just trying to take a stab here with the larger pool they’re all Western Conference teams to me because when you look at the East I just don’t see another team that has the cap space willing to win right now wants to win right now that could acquire Jimmy Butler outside of Philly so to me the New Orleans Pelicans and thunder are the top two they have an abundance of picks to trade they have cap space and they’re in a win now mode I’ve always said that New Orleans makes a lot of sense for Jimmy you pair him up with Brandon Ingram CJ McCollum you have the wings there in herb Jones and Trey Murphy as well they’d likely send a package of Brandon Ingram and maybe one first round pick to Miami to where you get a younger guy that has some potential in bi still he’s still 26 27 he fits Bam’s timeline you would also get a first round pick it’s not the worst thing in the world you would have to extend bi though because he only has one year left on his contract Oklahoma City they came up short you’re telling me they couldn’t use another three and D guy and Jimmy Butler not 3 and D but you get what I mean like a closer next to Shay the reason why that makes sense for OKC to by the way is because that two-year Max extension they’d give Jimmy would run for the next three seasons and if they were willing to do that that lines up pretty perfectly with when they would have to pay Jaylen Williams and chat holgren their rookie extensions so you pay Jimmy to be with the mentorship of Jaylen Williams jet home gr and Shay and then when Jimmy runs after to that extension 37 38 years old you let him walk and then now you have your core three of chat Shay and jayen Williams and you got a better chance to win right now two shocking teams here in the Kings and Rockets because Sacramento could be looking for a wing to pair up with dearen Fox and Damonte sabonis I didn’t take a big look at what they could trade Miami because they’d likely not trade Keegan Murray but that’s who I’d want in return don’t know what their cap situation is but the Houston Rockets are another intriguing team that want to bring up they have a lot of first round picks they have four good young players and am man Thompson Jaylen green Jabari Smith wood and cam Whitmore unlikely to get more than one of those guys in a deal for Jimmy Butler because you’d get probably some picks back but Jimmy is from Houston and if the Rockets are truly trying to win now which has kind of been reported they can get Jimmy as that lead guy to help ELR shenon and whatever young guys actually stay on the team and they obviously have a good coach at eme adoka so that’s a team that I would keep my eyes out for if these Jimmy Butler trade rumors only continue to progress I gave you four I want you to predict and really guess who the mystery teams are there’s allegedly two of them you can just try to guess one you can try to guess both down below but give me a couple teams that you think could be interested in Jimmy Butler that have not been shed in the light just yet before we do get out of here though I just want to make one thing abundantly clear I I’m extending Jimmy Butler and I’m not trading him Jimmy has given you five ridiculous seasons in Miami and I understand there has been some frustrations with how he has performed in the regular season I am on record saying that I sent out a tweet near the end of this regular season that I said I am done with Jimmy Butler being your number one in the regular season you are just not going to be a good team in the first 82 games of the year with him at the lead I think it’s fine to admit that but also want him to stay long term because he’s one of the best playoff risers and performers in the entire NBA I want that I want him to be the second option the third option with bam that’s why I would extend Jimmy Butler make him happy get him here for the next three seasons and then you can let him go after that when he’s 38 years old or he could retire that is why I want Donovan Mitchell so bad I hate to keep on bringing him up but you can get D Mitch you can afford a Jimmy Butler extension with bam and D Mitch at the helm at least this upcoming year and then when Jimmy is done with this extension you got your do of the future so I’m keeping 22 he has done so much for you over the last 5 years he really saved you from purgatory because you were in that middle range of nothingness where you were always going to be maybe at best an eight seed or seven seed but not good enough or bad enough I should say to be in the top five of the NBA draft you were were where were the Chicago Bulls are right now it’s not a good place to be that’s why I’m keeping
