We are going to be cucked for leverage and then wind up with Brandon Ingram and Buddy Hield and lose in the first round after an extremely frustrating regular season of injuries and poor team construction.

Jimmy it is. We really gotta hope the Heat don’t give him the max.

This seemed to be the obvious outcome.

I mean, determined is a cool word and all. Real strong and forceful. But unless that turns into “willing to offer the max” then we still have a very good chance to get George. If they were willing to pay him what he wants this would not be a question.
Now, we have heard no indication that he will *only* play for the max so he might just be trying to get as much money as possible. But if they were really as “determined” as they say they would just pay him what he wants. They are determined to a point. We’ll see if that point is enough for George to leave money on the table at 34.
Edit: From the article: The Clippers had the opportunity to offer a four-year, $221 million contract extension to George during the season, but Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer reported earlier this week that the Clippers “haven’t offered George a dollar more than what they paid [Kawhi] Leonard: three years, $152.4 million.”
I mean………..that is a large gap.

Well… would make that unprotected pick quite nice

It’s weird the Clips want to do this since they are going nowheresville.

They’re not leaving LA

We need to skip being used by all the old dudes and trade for the 26-year-old All-Star forward and former #2 overall pick

Good, Keep that bum outta Philly

GOOD.
That’s amazing news. Let the Clippers lock these two geriatrics up with long term max deals. Piss away all their money on two guys who won’t be healthy for the end of the season, I don’t give a shit. Good for them on getting paid I guess.
I don’t want them on the team.

Ballmer is opening a new arena. He doesn’t wanna do it with a mediocre team and mediocre names. I bet he brings both of them back.
