Why This 7’4” GIANT Is EXACTLY What the Lakers Need For Anthony Davis & Lebron James ft. Zach Edey

as the Lakers head into the upcoming off season it’ll be important for fans along the front office to remind themselves of the reality the team’s going to four straight summer of attempting to find a center to parel along side Anthony Davis and most importantly are coming off a season where a case could be made there one physical rotational Center away from holding the upper hand in a series against the Denver Nuggets now that the formula of how to neutralize three-time MVP Nicole yic has been proven don’t be surprised if teams around the league start stockpiling on big men especially as front courts across the league get larger and larger with players like Victor wanyama Chad hram and carony town sliding up to the power forward position given the fact the Lakers will only have their mid level exception and Veterans minimum to work with in an already depressed free agency class the best and maybe even only approach to lending an impactful traditional Center under a costc controlled multi-year contract would be via the upcoming 2024 NBA draft from the T on thumbnail many of you guys already know that in this video we will be advocating as Su Lakers must strongly consider having their incoming rookie be none other than raing National player of the year 7 fo4 Zack Ed from Purdue his ceiling may not be as high as his fellow draft classmates but for the win now Lakers it’s not necessarily about finding the highest upside Talent what’s more important is finding a polished product who can make it impact immediately Zack e checks off all the boxes for what an NBA team would like to see a mature Prospect capable of contributing to wind now basketball a straight out of the gates but before we dive into exactly how Zack Ed could chip in as a member of the purple and gold from day one and which current NBA player is the most accurate player comparison for a skill set be sure to first let me know down in the comment section below how would you like the Lakers to address their lingering front court issues this summer whether it be via free agency or the NBA draft there has been plenty of question marks within the basketball Community as to whether or not Zach Ed’s Collegiate success could translate to the NBA and understandably so rarely do fans ever come across a player of Zack Ed’s monstrous stature standing at 7 fo for 285 lbs to go along with a 7′ 10 wingspan and in a few times the league has seen similar frames those players panned out to be names like y main Taco Fall ban marjanovich hashin fait and many NBA players who would have extremely shortlived careers so the caution around Zack Ed’s draft stock is Justified but the counter to that argument would be how many of these names were as offensively polished competently agile and had great hands to go along with it the answer is probably none with the exception to Hall of Famer y and maybe ban marjanovich who’s still going strong with a 8-year NBA career even after having joined the league at a very late age but again that ask is only for Zack Ed to be a serviceable rotational center for the Los Angeles Lakers and when you take that tempered expectation into consideration it should really be a no-brainer that Zach Ed is the safest realistic option at the center position for Rob pinka in the front office to consider as part of the NBA draft he’s a polished fouryear product who came back better every year and he’s left no reason to believe believe his development would not continue once he makes it to the big leagues he’s only 22 years old and has pretty much only known how to play a winning Brandon basketball during his time at Purdue but most importantly his physical presence along with his strengths of rebounding at a high rate protecting the basket and overpowering mismatches serves as a perfect counterbalance to everything the Lakers front Court rotation has been lacking for the last four seasons fans should be looking at Zach 80 as a larger former Laker fan favorite in Clipper starring center for the last six seasons Eva zubats both physical archetypes are incredibly similar as neither are electric high-flying athletes but still they find ways to make it impact with their low center of gravity to become effective rebounders unmovable pulse Defenders great screen Setters and a freight train rolling to the basket let’s also not forget via zubot had his breakout season as a legit NBA starting caliber Center as soon as LeBron James arrived and it certainly wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume the Superstar playmaker could rekindle some of the same chemistry with a 22-year-old Zach Ed who was way more polished than 21-year-old Eva zubats at the time but let me know down in the comment section below do you agree with to Zack Ed player comparison to that former Laker via zubats if not who do you believe would make a better player comparison but that’s it for a video take it easy guys there any teams in particular that you you speak with here lot um kind obviously you talk to a lot of teams um space is obviously difficult because you don’t know who’s who’s really interested who’s really interviewing I’ve heard teams like sometimes don’t interview guys are interested in so it’s just trying to get a feel for everything but yeah for sure I’m speaking to teams I going work out with teams one those yeah they’ve been me for a little bit I like what do you uh feel like you need to show NBA people um I mean I think obviously I need to show people I can shoot the way I believe I can um but I think like for the most part teams kind of know know what I’m good at teams like teams have tons of film on me obviously I think I’m quicker than teams think I am I think I shoot better than teams think I can U I have to show that but I think a lot of a lot of film like I’ve been in college for four years they got a lot of film on me they kind of know what I can do are there any like do you feel like there’s any like preconceived notions about players like you that you have to try to debunk here in your workouts um yeah maybe a little bit um obviously kind when you see someone who’s 74 300 lbs you just assume some things you assume he can’t move his feet you assume he can’t um assume obviously like he can’t be mobile you assume he’s injured a lot of things come with people just on paper being s for 300 pounds but I think I can do a lot of things that people don’t think I can move my feet shoot the ball um like you see people seven people who are 74 don’t usually make their free throws I can I can do that I can do some things that people don’t expect I just got to keep showing that I can do more Z who would you compare your game to at this point um I don’t know I’ve seen a lot of a lot of comparisons out there but I’m not really not trying to compare myself to anybody I think I’m going to be the player that I am and that’s what I’m going to be somewh to build off this gentleman’s question like is there any like maybe thing about your game whether it’s been a Scouting Report or something somebody’s written that you think is like untrue yeah there’s a lot of things obviously but I kind of get why those things are on the report like when I’m at Purdue I’m asked to do a very specific thing and it wins basketball games I’m never going to complain but um there’s a lot of things I believe I can do that that people don’t think I can where are you best equipped to help just dominating the paint like I do in college like that’s that’s my game like it’s not not any secret I want to get the rebounds I want to like bang inside I want to like carb about that space inside like protect protect the r like that that that’s my game that’s where I’m always going to try to hang my hat on what have you been doing since the national championship to get ready for basically yesterday um just like just working it’s it’s what I like to do it’s not it’s not any CH or anything but just you obviously I took a week or two off after the the game but can’t take much time off when when you go make a Deep Run so I got right back in the gym moved out to Chicago my agents out here um trained with him ever since what feedback have you gotten on your potential draft range um I mean I’ve heard between 10 to 25 but again like this the draft it’s volatile no one really knows what they’re going as you go through this process what do you want to show teams um just I can shoot I can move I just show who I am like I’m I’m a competitive dude I love to go compete I love to I love to I just love basketball showing teams like this is what this is what I do this is who I am after being the guy at Purdue for 4 years that things were built around you know the NBA especially early in guys career is more about guys making the Stars around them better how do you think your skill set you know translates to a role more of a complimentary sort of situation yeah um every like just like I said like every team needs someone to hold down the paint you need someone to grab the rebounds you need somebody block shots you need someone to finish L you need someone like do all those things like like not not everything has to have be with um me having the ball in my hands and a post Stu I think I can do a lot of things obviously at Purdue it was a lot of post but if you really watch the games it was it was a lot of ball screens and that’s what they run in the NBA ball screens Sports hot actions seals um reposts like uh hit the indirect and go back in like it’s a lot of stuff that playing on a ball that’s that’s the NBA off

  1. Lakers lack of 3s would continue…I guess they don't have much of a choice though. Get Dejounte too.

Dejounte / Anybody that can shoot / Lebron / AD / Edey

  2. I hope we keep the 17th pick and not trade it. Soon we will have enough cap space to sign another super star instead of trading all of our assets now.

  3. In my humble opinion if the LAKERS are going that route with this center they need to be patience with him and don't trade him write away, LOOK what happens with SUBACK and he became a elite defender underneath the rim, Cinderella needs to quite craying and play ball earn those 40 Million

  4. With luck, the Lakers can somehow acquire him. It will be nice to see A.D. actually get to slide over to the 4 and then have both of these guys dominating in or near the paint to get rebounds, blocks, score, and set screens.

  5. I hope this is true Lakers must have a Center , AD cannot stand anymore to be a center he has many injuries, must go back to be as power forward.🤔🤔🤔
