wolves in this game perk what did they figure out in this one what they figure out it’s not what they figured out it’s what they got back and what they found they were lost and now they found we in when Gard Luca because of the pace Anthony Edwards could keep up with luuka he has the upper body strength to to absorb the contact and look at that close out right there look at that close out the the emotions that’s what they have been missing they found their identity they got they got their Swagger this is the first game in the series where we saw the Timberwolves truly have a balance balanced attack and it started with Anthony Edwards everyone will talk about the 29 Points but I want to talk about his playmaking so let’s take it to the court really quick as I show you how key and pivotable this was so watch this he’s backing up because he wants to bait the defense he had nine assists in the second half the most assist in a half in his career he has great vision he kicks it out to jayen McDaniels who has shot 55% from three this series the best percentage on the t-wolves so that’s a heady play again he attacks he’s so good he’s so aggressive he tracks three we talk about Kyle Anderson how important he was he only had two points but he had five screen assists that led to 13 points so ant normally those possessions where you’re up in the air and you have no clue where the ball is going he still had a plan a lot of coaches would say don’t put yourself in that position but because he was aggressive because he had teammates that trusted him and teammates that knocked down shots you saw a complete playmaking game from Anon just to add a little bit to that Anthony EDS has he’s been outstanding this entire series in his playmaking ability that was great that was great notes uh great footage right there by you but and breakdown sh he’s averaging over eight assists in this series like for a young player growing in this situation learning how to adjust to a defense because the defense is focus on Anthony Edwards and stopping them that is a a beautiful thing to see and when you’re orchestrating the offense on this end and then holding Luca to five of 15 shooting against him on the other end that’s the recipe for success and then when you look at the F how do you didn’t get at all the final couple minutes cuz we’d seen them be in that situation before where where they’ve been minus 13 in the last three minutes and then they’re plus two last night all of a sudden they’re on the board but we’re still talking about a 3-1 series here right so let’s look ahead to game five listen to Kyrie Irving he spoke after the loss as well a loss like this it definitely stings it definitely hurts and you know like I said to that question is a level of holiday based off of his Elite defensive performance last season series to the list but we need to talk about this guy right here Derek white because he makes Championship level plays let’s take it to the court and I’ll show you exactly why the Celtics have the best defense remaining in the postseason so far it’s because he’s able to guard two players star players at once Tyrese halberton is his match matchup but instead he’s still able to go and contest a shot at The Rim that is Elite defensive performance and also Elite defensive effort it never gets old y’all because watch this this is a free throw it should be a bunny it should be a guarantee they’re playing Hot Potato but this ball should be in your reach instead he always pursues the basketball these are small plays that come up big that change the tides in which you’re seeing they’re trying to make a comeback but we’re going to talk about comeback this guy knocked down the biggest shot he has ice in his veins his ability to not only play defense but also stay cool calm collected talk his is as he knocks it down because he sealed the deal Derek white was a huge part of the Celtics being undefeated and touch time this playoffs and as you can see in game four he literally did a little bit of everything you’ve got 16 points four rebounds four assist but if you look at this he’s the first player with five Steals and three blocks in a conference final since who Scotty Pippen in 2000 Malika that is not bad company not bad company to be in at all it’s almost like you know what I’m sharing to Des with you it’s like MJ and Pippen over here I love it perk here’s the thing the Celtics they’ve been starting they’ve been doing this impressive run without Chris STS porzingis who had that calf strain in the first round they’re nine and one in this postseason without him there is of course optimism as wo reported that he could be and will be back for the NBA Finals but do they need to be whole in order to win it all well they better not start the NBA Finals without them and hell yeah they need to be whole when you talk about chrisy porzingis I I get it Derek white has been fantastic that was a hell of a breakdown on him because he does the little things that also don’t show up in the stat sheet but when it comes down to Christa porzingis he’s the most important player for us with the Celtics winning it all when you look at the two teams that he could possibly match up against the Mavericks and Minnesota both of those teams have what bigs athletic bigs at that so when I think about christop porzingis yes we know he could stretch the floor yes we know he could post up on the mismatches but on the other side of things they need that anchor that defensive anchor to contest and block shot and rebound at the basket in order for them to hang banner number 18 I completely agree because even though you’re able to beat the Pacers the way you were defensively having Jason Tatum at times guard the five having a small lineup it doesn’t matter who you’re going up against the wild thing is when you look at the two scenarios for the Boston Celtics I thought like the harder matchup would be the Minnesota Timberwolves right because they’ve got T they’ve got cat they’ve got Rudy they all put pressure on the rim but it’s crazy that you’re seeing except last game the Dallas Big show up in a big way so now have to deal with not necessarily an advantage in the way that you thought going into a series potentially so you need everybody and your mama to show up because they understand that the expectation to have to take it up another level when you talk about being cemented in royalty I want you to go look at what Paul Pierce did during his run right comparing him to Jason Tatum because we know he’s the face face of the franchise Paul Pierce went through a prime Joe Johnson if you don’t know who Joe Johnson is go Google him okay then he went toe-to-toe with the LeBron James in the seven game series took down the Pistons with rip Hampton cha and taan Prince and then got to the finals and went head-to-head with Kobe bran and one Finals MVP Victorious so it sounds like it sounds like that the path that you’re saying then is because that was the path uh there there’s no way that the depleted path that this Celtics team took can make it so that they overtake uh your team and oh oh no let’s do that because Los Angeles Clippers coach tyoo has agreed to a new long-term contract that’ll make him the NBA’s highest paid coaches or one of them sources told our senior Insider Adrien w you know Lou Who had one year left on his contract has gone 184 and 134 in His Four Seasons with the Clippers which is the sixth best in the NBA in that stretch never fear wo is here as we dive into this a little bit further in La how were both sides able to come to this agreement for the Clippers here yeah this deal I’m told takes tyo through the 2029 season at about $14 million a year that certainly puts him in the upper echelon of coaches you’ve seen some recent deals Eric spola and at about 15 million Monty Williams just south uh of tyo at around 1375 and so he’s now tied up to the Clippers new into it dome opens up next season Kawhi Leonard signed and obviously this is an organization that would like to still keep uh Paul George and of course uh uh James Harden yeah and so uh listen the Clippers Steve Balmer Lawrence Frank they were determined to keep Ty Lou and he’s wanted to continue to a part of this he said at the end of the season I don’t want to be bouncing around organizations they know this is a committed organization living in La you know being a part of it and so I think really over the last few weeks the Clippers and you know tylo’s agent Andy Miller with clutch Sports more and there’s going to be I think over the next few weeks you’re going to see you know more candidates come back in and dig a Little Deeper with the Lakers on this head coaching job you know they’re nowhere close on this one yeah I think they should be patient because as we mentioned to me the obvious fit was tyo but that was a circumstance where it benefits Ty for being with the Clippers
