this trade proposal is insane as thanal over bleacher reporter pitching a trade that would send Michael Porter Jr to the Toronto Raptor so we’ll discuss that including all of the Raptor draft workouts now being leaked so we actually have a clear idea of who MSU Jerry Bobby Webster the Raptor front office are actually looking at in this year’s NBA draft so we have a ton of things to dive into in this video so let’s dive straight into the first topic of discussion the first thing we’re taking a look at is this wild trade proposal by Bleacher Report now this is the time of year where all the speculation all the rumors start rambling up due to the offseason being around the corner and especially when you have a couple guys on your roster that seems like the entire NBA is quietly interested in you know the Raptors are going to be a team that’s linked in a bunch of these trade packages and even though he didn’t have the greatest season for us last year Bruce Brown given his contract and given what he was able to provide to winning teams in the past there’s a lot of teams interested in picking up Bruce Brown during this off season now the rumors have started to escalate in the analyst over at Bleacher Report pitched an absolutely bananas trade essentially that would send Michael Porter Jr to the Toronto Raptors in return for Bruce Brown Kelly oen and the number 31 overall pick and a 2026 first round pick that is coming the way of Indiana now this is a very very interesting deal because Michael Porter Jr is obviously a guy that couple seasons ago or just last season no season before this year when they got KN knocked out he was a key piece on the Denver Nuggets winning an NBA championship that’s just the reality of it he regardless of what you think about him regardless of what you think about the injuries and stuff the guy when he’s playing when he’s clicking an all cylinders he’s looking like a legitimate star in the NBA however there’s a lot of off- the court stuff regarding injuries consistency all these types of things that are question marks about Michael Porter Jr on the court and off the court stuff but basically it was pitched as something that makes sense is essentially Denver also shouldn’t just dismissed the playoff failure as nothing though the Nuggets lack of depth was exposed in that series and Porter who managed only 25 total points over the final four outings was unsetting quiet for a $30 million plus player who largely makes his money on the offensive end Denver has to at least consider moving a player or two around or this roller Co or this roster will become too pricey to keep if Porter becomes the odd man out this could be the kind of package of the Denver Nuggets Pursuit a two-way plug-and-play rotation players you know next year’s playoff run in brown you know obviously Bruce Brown who is formerly on the Denver Nuggets team and Kelly o linck who would be a cool fit for them I think as well plus an early second round pick and a future first rounder to either grow the young core and sweeten the trade offer down the line that’s coming from Zack Buckley he sort of pitched this sort of trade frankly I think this makes zero sense for the Toronto Raptors yes we need some three-point shooting yes we need some floor spacing and Michael Porter Jr the basketball player when he’s firing on all cylinders when he’s playing well he could be potentially the perfect fit in terms of what the Toronto Raptors need I mean we can look at his stats even in Porter Jr 17 points per game seven rebounds he improved his defense this season as well shot 48% from the field and 40% behind the three-point line is 610 can play the power forward position and shot 44% on Corner threes this season you know 96% of his shots were assisted upon so you know he’s getting that yic boost there on that roster a lot over half of his shots were from three as well so Michael Porter Jr is a guy that’s benefiting from this Nico yic sort of squad but he is a clear upgrade on this uh on regards to Bruce Brown that is clear that is true that is what it is right Bruce Brown 114 and three you know making $23 million himself this season but is an expiring contract still pretty young a little bit more healthy than a a Porter Jr but frankly mpj for all the positives you can say about him and all those types of things he’s very injury-prone has serious back issues that have kept him out for Seasons after seasons over the course of his career he has a massive massive contract 30 plus million annually for Michael Porter Jr and then on top of it we already had a relationship with uh the porter Brothers his brother was on the Toronto Raptors and ended up betting against the team making Sports bets big drama you can check out our old videos if you want the details on uh on the porter family and their relationship with the Trot Raptors so I don’t think there’s a world where this makes sense I don’t think there’s a world where this happens and I don’t know let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below but the Raptor potentially going after Michael Porter Jr I think it’s just a bananas trade you can probably get some more interesting packages there for Bruce brown but a more realistic more detail oriented note the Raptor draft targets have been revealed as basically we hear a ton of rumors we have hear a ton of players about where guys are projected to land where guys are projected to go in the NBA draft everyone wants Zack Edy everyone wants you know the big names that are out there in the draft well Messi Jerry Bobby Webster the front office they actually Scout these guys they bring them in take a look at what they’re able to do and draft sort of accordingly and basically so far we actually have an update at list in terms of the players that have actually been scouted been uh brought into Toronto for workouts for the Toronto Raptors so let’s let’s take a look at this list here now at this point let’s get the right graphic part brought up basically kle wear who is a guy that we’ve talked about a ton on these sort of videos a guy’s projected to go 24th overall right now in the latest sort of NBA mock drafts the Raptors are obviously draft at 19 and 31 he’s been brought in for a workout jayon Tyson you know from uh Cal basically projected to go around 30 most mock drafts again have these guys going all over the place but and Jay onter is an interesting guy Dylan Jones from Weber State right interesting piece Coleman Hawkins ree beakman Joseph Gerard and Josh aduru are all guys that have been officially listed as having workouts with the Toronto Raptors so this is pretty cool this is interesting to see the list see the guys that bide you Jerry is actually taking a look at and uh obviously we won’t take a look and sink our teeth into all these dudes some of them can obviously be undrafted free agents but the most interesting guy in this list in my opinion is kle wear who is a guy that again there’s questions about his motor he had to transfer last season but really bursts on the scene for the Indiana hooers last year and put up some really solid stats and showed watching the highlight reels that he’s a serious threat around the rim as a lob sort of a target for guards attacking the basket and he is a solid three-point shooter basically looking at his intangibles he’s only 20 years old he’s a guy that Bor in 2004 that’s crazy people in 2004 are getting drafted in the NBA right now is 71 230 lbs he’s the long arms and he can come in and do some things out there on the basketball court he is skilled average 16 points per game 10 uh 10 rebounds 1.5 assists Chu close to 60% from the field you know over the course of his last season in college so the guy is good at basketball regardless of your questions about motor and all of those types of things he has the the physical tools to really Blossom out there in the NBA and he’s already a pretty polished basketball player you know relative to the college sample size and defensively you know positionally and stuff there’s questions about there’s a difference between the ham Whiteside shot blockers of the world and then you know the yaka purles who are on a completely different Spectrum who you know Perle positionally is locked in you know he’s mobile he’s all those types of things whereas the some white sides of the past block a ton of shots but aren’t that a gaaged on the defensive end there’s a little there’s a few questions about wears engagement you know the the to go down the not great ham whes ey but he does block a ton of shots average two blocks per game out there in college which is huge right uh one and under a steel per night but it’s just a guy that has the intangibles brought into a Toronto Raptor system where he’s asked a lot of if he’s sort of given that responsibility you know fulfill what we lost in Christian Koko I mean I think the torona Raptors regardless of what you want to say about their development as of late would be a good play even if there’s questionable motor stuff there’s questionable things like that the Raptors organization should be able to sort of get the best out of kware especially where we are in a retool a rebuild right now where we give more opportunities to our younger guys so he is a a player that I am intrigued by on that sort of list in terms of uh players that Messi Jerry has already drafted but the other guy that is sort of on this list is an interesting piece is uh is T T jayon jayon Tyson I can’t pronounce anything here now at this point but jayon Tyson is an interesting sort of wing piece in his own right you know projected to go later in the first round a little bit ahead of our second round pick that we have currently selecting number 31 overall but is kind of an athletic Mo High motor Wing that uh can do some things out there obviously played some shooting guard six5 66 67 you know so can play that Wing position is a little bit older will be 22 years old or 21 years old right now you know the points are always a little bit confusing there now at this point he 220 lounds but is a dude that put up some really good stats out there in college 20 points per game game seven rebounds you know uh close to four assists shot 36% behind the three-point line just a high motor high energy dude and if you’re getting you know close to seven rebounds as a guy at 6667 that is a huge positive in terms of your motor your effort your ability to produce out there on the court in terms of development and things like that so wouldn’t be a guy that I’d be shocked if he’s available at 31 ends up getting selected by the Toronto Raptors but let me know what you guys think about all these sort of potential prospects let me
