So, which team could attempt to pry Hartenstein free? Oklahoma City has been the potential destination most mentioned by team executives after rebounding woes plagued the Thunder during their second-round defeat to the Mavericks. Dallas bested OKC 287-241 on the glass over those six games.
In one respect, Hartenstein would seem incongruent with the rest of the Thunder’s roster and playing style, as Coach of the Year Mark Daigneault oversaw a drive-and-kick offense with Chet Holmgren at center and all five OKC players boasting the ability to create off the dribble. Hartenstein is not that, but his prowess as a dribble-handoff screener and passer — constantly slinging back-door bounces to Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo — could introduce an added dimension to what already exists with the Thunder. Hartenstein has also shown an ability to coexist with another big man amid various lineup structures with New York.

You’re telling me we can’t tell Sarr just focus on rebounds when he’s healthy? Doesn’t make sense 🤣
He would be an answer to the rebounding issue…if it is even viewed as an issue at all
I like Hartenstein. He’s a great screener and rebounder. Seemed like a good teammate. But I would be surprised if the Thunder sign him. He attempted not 1, not 2, but 3 three-pointers in the entire season.
i shudder at the thought of having to listen to commentators pronounce “Haaare-teen-schhhtein” 82 games a year, plus playoffs.
Oh so NOW we trust Fischer lmao 🤣 this guy is a waffler. I want this to happen but don’t trust this guy at all
This makes it a virtual certainty OKC does not sign him. We never do what the rest of the league thinks we’re going to do.
I think there should be rules against posting anything this guy says on this subreddit.
He doesn’t have sources with real info, he just says whatever seems popular at the time.
I’m good with this, Chet needs some help in the blocks and this would allow J Will to play the SF and Dort to SG and Giddey to come off the bench.
I like him a lot.
