and Tyrese Maxi well we’ve talked a lot about LeBron here on the show Daddy Dober hopefully I pronounced that right and I think that LeBron at this stage in his career coming off a high efficiency season given the player that he is right now still Elite in my mind would be the perfect fit next to Tyrese Maxi and Joel embiid because on some nights he can be your number one one but as he enters his age 39 season you simply can’t count on him at that age with that mileage to be a number one every single night which is why I think it’s smart for him to at least Ponder his future and think about leaving the Lakers and if he joins forces with Tyrese Maxi and Joel embiid yeah he’ll be that number one sometimes he’ll be the number two sometimes he could be that number three he can afford some load management nights where he doesn’t have to play and he can manage his minutes up until the playoffs and with Philadelphia outside of the basketball fit which I think could be great he can play on ball off ball all five positions really if you think about it they have a chance with LeBron to win a championship and isn’t that the goal for Philadelphia shoot we’re talking about a team that hasn’t made it past the second round since 2001 do want to get to this tweet from Brett seagull recent comments to clutch points from League Personnel in recent days suggest that in addition to the Lakers and the Suns how about this the 76ers maybe a third team interested in bronny James bronnie and his agent Rich Paul have been very selective in terms of which teams they are talking to of note Tyrese Maxi represented by Rich Paul and clutch Sports as well chip your thoughts on this one we’ve talked about this a lot but let’s revisit it drafting bronny James just to have the chance to get LeBron James I’ll tell you what I would love LeBron on the team and I’ll get to LeBron in a second bronny I’m absolutely not taking him in the first round okay you can miss me with that he is not worthy of in my opinion a first round pick at all much less a top 16 overall pick which is where the Sixers are sitting right now he’s just not ready he should be in the G League realistically so I I am not taking Brian the first round second round you know I hope that that that’s where this rumor here is coming from that the Sixers are interested in drafting him in the second round they didn’t get to actually see him in the pre-draft process he only worked out for the Lakers and the Suns so I’m really hoping that they’re not looking at him in the first round but when it comes to LeBron one thing I wanted to add with him I think he would be such a perfect fit for this team as you said you know LeBron’s getting older obviously and still such a great player great talent but what did the Sixers struggle with so much in the postseason it was closing games and offense down the stretch LeBron has seen it all he’s seen everything there is to see when it comes to basketball so he’d be able to get people in the right position execute late in games he can let Maxi let him beat cook the first three quarters and then fourth quarter time LeBron can turn it up a little bit and make sure that the guys are where they need to be so I don’t care about LeBron’s age I am totally on board with LeBron bronny though uh not so much and we talk about LeBron being so efficient last year one of the most efficient Seasons since coming into the league in 2003 he’d be even arguably more efficient playing with those two stars naturally because he’ll get more open looks and defensively he could still get the job done next up blue hen 32 are we a possible landing spot for Jimmy Butler if the Sixers had their way if the Sixers had their wish they’d land Jimmy Butler they’ve already admitted to Keith pompe of the Philadelphia choir they regret making that trade five years ago when they sent Jimmy Butler after the 2019 season quadruple bounce Kawai Leonard to the Miami Heat and the big move move that they got back the big player that they got back Josh Richardson that’s a disaster right there I just don’t think Miami is going to deal Jimmy Butler I think he’s going to return to the Heat and he’s just the perfect epitome of what they want as an organization and as the face of it but speaking of that Keith Pompei report here it is from earlier this week it’s no secret that the 76ers are closely monitoring Jimmy Butler’s contract situation with Miami the Sixers view him as a fallback option if they are unable to sign Paul George in fore agency and according to sources the Sixers are prepared to give Butler a maximum salary extension if things align and he forces a trade out of Miami whatever happens the Sixers realized they made a mistake by sending Butler to the heat via trade 5 years ago he brought a relentlessness they have not had since his departure and I know that hindsight is 2020 but man having Jimmy Butler on this team would have resulted in more deep playoff runs maybe even an NBA championship and I know that Joel embiid has ascended to being a great player following that kawi Leonard dagger he’s won in MVP finished runner up a couple of Seasons behind nicoa yic and this past year if he didn’t get hurt averaging 35 a game he may have very well won MVP yet again but Butler could have brought him to another level and holding him accountable with the and the Sixers are going to work him out a couple of other teams have also worked him out too and he’s looked at as an intriguing Prospect Keith pompe with this Intel as well Trent flowers who had been one of the NBA’s best kept secrets in the draft is scheduled to work out for the 76ers on June 20th according to sources the 6’7 Swingman has already worked out for the Nets Wizards bucks Kings rockets and Spurs in addition to the Sixers he has workouts scheduled with the Lakers Suns Hornets Jazz Bulls Celtics he can come into the league as a 3 and D 42in vert he’s impressed NBA teams during workouts after being relatively unknown after averaging just 5.2 points per game in 18 appearances this past year for the Adelaide 36ers of Australia’s national basketball league coming out party at the combine in Chicago tested as the most athletic and youngest Wing in this draft 205 graduated high school in three years turn 19 March 8th Sixers have the number 16 and 41 picks in the draft and shooter but is capable of at least growing that to his Arsenal needs a tighten the handle it’s kind of like Jaylen Browns was a couple of years ago like it has the tendency of still being where it gets a little bit loose which allows him or leads to him being prone to turning the basketball over I think that he would more so be a good second round Target and as chip and I have discussed if you’re going to stay there at the 16th pole position in the first round of the draft because Tyrese Maxi Joel embiid and Ricky Council are the only players for sure on this team I want more of a known commodity and a proven Prospect at number 16 I would take a project at 16 because you might need those minutes on the back half of your rotation second round player kind of intrigued by the athletic profile Crown me king I will do that who is your perfect free agent to sign we have discussed a lot of different free agent targets here on the show as far as the perfect free agent to sign I still think it’s a wing and you have to Target the wing that can get the job done on both ends of the floor who can be a three-level score who can defend at a high level now if I had my dream move to make it would be for Mel Bridges my dream trade targets would be Kevin Durant Jimmy Butler and then the dream free agent Target Paul George chip where do you align here yes so outside of those big names I think one guy that would be when we’re talking about perfect you know I’m thinking like perfect fit for the Sixers he has a player option so he might be going back to Denver but cavius calwell Pope I think would be such a good fit for the Sixers he has Championship pedigree right he’s the three and D Wing who is very Li reliable on the catch and shoot I mean we’ve seen him these past couple years with Denver just always be in the right place at the right time he’s a winning player LeBron James has come out and complimented his game and said you know he’s always doing the right things does the little things right he’s a hustle player he’s made a lot of money the course of his career and he really is I think whether he plays a two plays a three a little flexibility there shouldn’t cost over 20 million maybe in the 18 17 range if he does opt out of his player option with the Nuggets he’d be a great fit next to Max there you go I think Malik monk could be a good option too if you’re looking for that flamethrower to come in Off the Bench you can create get to the cup pull up hit some threes the only thing is I think the price point is going to be too high for the Sixers liking one Sixers have had besides bad man management is trying to force feed Championship urgency adding Paul George would just expedite the mediocrity cycle which is not too far off get younger taller and more specific role players and this has been a common opinion of a lot of Sixers fans chip stop going after the old players go after the young players the issue is in fre agency there are not a lot of young star-level players that’s why my dream move would be for Mel Bridges because he’s younger durable two-way player and he’s not going to clog up the offense where the ball dies like often times it did with James Harden or like it could have the propensity of doing with another star player alongside maxian and beid because that’s a lot of mouse to feed but the reality is some of the older players are the ones who are available they’re Star level players but again the point I try to hammer home in bringing in an older player if you have some shortterm security as far as the contract with an opt out at the end or a player option or overall it’s a shorter deal the goal here you’re already a championship Contender you add another star who might be older you’re trying to win in the next two years can you bank on that player being Elite for the next two years and Chase as you said very Comon opinion among Sixers fans I see it in the comments all the time we don’t want LeBron we don’t want Jimmy we don’t want Paul George they’re too old go get somebody younger who can grow go get all these role players look that’s a much easier said than done there’s not just these perfect role players always sitting out there in for agency every year you know I seen seen some comments as well saying you know look at the teams in the finals right now or that were at least in the Conference Finals Celtics Mavs t-wolves Pacers or like they’re all very young teams and we should be getting younger not getting older why do we go get these older guys you got to get these guys through the draft most of the time right like when you look at the Mavs L by Luca drafted him look at the Celtics led by Tatum led by Brown drafted them look at the Pacers Tyrese halber draft him now they trade for seaka but not like a young Talent right and the timberl Anthony Edwards like you can’t just find these guys on the street so as much as I know Sixers fans want to go get you know the next big young star that can grow with this team and play the perfect role it’s just really hard to do the fact that matter is if you want to win a championship the best options this off season just happen to be the older guys that’s the route I think you got to take and that’s the route Mor seems like is going to be taking this year look at the two stars on the Sixers team right now Tyrese Maxi Joel embiid they draf e of Philadelphia they’re homegrown players now you’re trying to find that third piece on this Sixers team to catapult them the championship level play appreciate everybody for
