Found this old article on Luka published before 2018 draft, give it a read if you have time.
Some interesting bits below.
I ask Doncic if he ever hears from NBA fans on social media. He nods, blushing again. "Some of them write 'Tank for Luka,'" he says. "I don't know. I just laugh." When he looks at their handles, he can tell they're from cities like Chicago, Orlando, Phoenix, Dallas — places he's never seen
When he mentions that he closely follows the NBA, I ask him what goes through his head when he watches games, and he chuckles. "That could be me, crossed over!" He says he likes the pace of play and the prevalence of the pick-and-roll
His favorite players are LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving
He's enjoyed watching Ben Simmons. "I think we are, like, similar, you know?" he says. "He can play point guard, he can play forward. He can play a lot of stuff, like LeBron."
“I don't know any other European kid that plays at such a high level.”
-PorzingisWhile Doncic is exceptionally vibrant on the court — his games are punctuated by raucous celebrations and passionate fits, one of which recently resulted in an expulsion — he betrays little emotion off of it, especially when pressed to discuss his own accomplishments. He's quick to deflect serious inquiries with dry humor.
Igor Kokoskov, the Utah Jazz assistant who coached Slovenia, marvels at Doncic's precociousness. "Leadership and presence on the court — you can't coach it,"

Luka disappearing when it matters this series, confirmed.
Damn sounds like Luka has always been the same

Too bad the Jazz didn’t have a high draft pick that year. Sounds like this Kokoskov guy was primed to work with Doncic. You know, what some team should’ve done is hire him away from the Jazz and then draft Luka. But I guess the Mavs had Rick Carlisle in place and couldn’t do that.
Luka Dončić must be from another planet, right? He plays basketball like he’s got a cheat code that makes everyone else move in slow motion. I mean, the guy dribbles like he’s just meandering through a park, but then suddenly—BAM!—he’s nailed a three-pointer from the next zip code. It’s like he’s got some magical ability to turn the basketball court into his personal playground. And his passing? Forget about it. It’s like he’s got eyes in the back of his head. He’s probably the only player who could throw a no-look pass while tying his shoelace. If basketball were a video game, Luka would be the final boss, but he’d beat you with a smile and then invite you out for ice cream.
Why didn’t Kings draft him?
Unbelievable how he fell to no. 3 being one of if not the most accomplished prospect ever.
Nuts
Hawks Nam flashback
Atlanta could have had it all.
Mina Kimes is an amazing writer and it’s just sad that she doesn’t cover basketball anymore
Luka is just different. I feel like watching CR7 at his height. Utmost confidence and skill to back it up.
Seeing as he listed Kyrie as one of his favorites coming into the association, I wonder if the Kyrie trade was something Luka was kind of nudging the FO for.
Damn no one likes Tatum like this lol
Has a Euroleague fan, he’s been the best player in Europe when he was 16…
Dudes been playing with grown men for ever….
He was hall of famer even before stepping foot in the NBA.
If the Phoenix Dumbs, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Dorks could read…
They’d be very upset right now!
He arrived
Can’t believe I was a Luka denier not too long ago
Im eagerly waiting for him to stop whining and complaining 48 minutes of every game. He’s so good but so annoying.
Luka cooking KP in a week confirmed
Luka would probably be one of my favorite non-Blazers if it wasn’t for the incessant whining. I like pretty much everything else about him but it is just impossible for me to watch him play and not get completely put off by it. There are some whiny players in this league but I’m genuinely struggling to think of an elite player who complains more than Luka.
Wish Mina Kimes had continued writing about sports.
Damn, a young Mina Kimes killing it in basketball. She really is smart as shit.
Igor’s teams, the Suns, were drafting first that year lol
Yes that is good and all but can he do it againts top NCAA teams?
it is about the time that all chubby bois from Europe start to dominate.
