[Woj] Pelicans have now filed official notice with the Lakers and league office that the 17th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft goes to LA, sources tell ESPN. Pelicans will take the Lakers first-round pick in 2025.

The only play is up trade the pick to upgrade the roster. The more we upgrade, the better our record and the lower is the 2025 pick going to NO.
The worst would be picking a rookie who doesn’t contribute at all like JHS last year.
I just hope the Lakers use this pick wisely. Trade or draft someone really needed by this team. Build around AD!

This 1st round pick will be traded. Lakers will feel the pressure from LeBron to take Bronny in the first round since it’s a weak draft. They need to move this pick to avoid scrutiny from the public for possibly taking Bronny in the first instead of just letting him fall to them in the second round.
