Kristaps Porzingis did everything with the Celtics at practice today, said Joe Mazzulla. Mazzulla said today was relatively light and the team will do more tomorrow, so seems like that could be a bigger test for him physically.

  1. KP makes me so much more confident in this series lets goooo

Spacing, rim protection, mismatch nightmare for switches, people have forgotten how big of a X factor Porzingis was for us because we’ve still dominated without him. He was brought in specifically for the playoff situations.

And the most underrated part of his return is the return of cookies and cream. For the first this regular season we solved the Tatum off minutes. So far in the playoffs in the 110 minutes he’s been off, the Celtics are a flat 0 in net rating. He still carries this team. Now with him off we can trout out a Jaylen, KP, White, and Al lineup with another bench member.

Horford, Porzingis, Hauser, Brown, White had 2nd highest net rating of 19.4 out of all our lineups in the regular season that played more than 40 mins together (#1 was Tatum, Jrue, and 3 white boys with 33.7 LMAO).

The only thing I’m scared of is him contesting lobs which the Mavs pull out their ass when they can’t get a shot off.

My worries are if he’s truly 100% and if he’ll be in basketball shape.

Even if he plays half as much as usual, that helps out Dad Horford.

the biggest thing in this series for me is how much we can protect kp and al on the pnr switches and getting them clean looks on offense to spread out rim protection

    “He did everything at practice”

Practice: Watch film, walk through, free throws, massage

  8. I’m pretty sure this is the first time Mazzulla’s said something of substance about KP’s injury since he first got injured so yeah he’s back

If we can get 20-25 min from KP, that’ll reduce Al’s workload immensely (hopefully down to 23-28 min).

That alone could keep our centers fresh and prevent us from using Kornet or Tillman unless we absolutely have to (ie foul trouble).

    Game 2

It’s not like we don’t want him for game 1… it’s that we will win the series if we wait until game 2.

COACH IF YOU HEAR THIS PLEASE THROW JORDAN WALSH ON LUKA FOR A FEW POSSESSIONS

    Mavs lurker here.

I don’t say this with any malice. But if KP misses any games cause of injury while playing Mavs, it’ll be vintage KP during his mavs days. Idk what it was while playing for us, but the dude was rarely available.

I do want him to play though. Cause I love that he’s going against Mavs in the finals. Him and Luka can finally have their pissing contest on the court they sort of had while he was here.
