[Sidery] The Kings intend to shop the No. 13 overall pick along with future draft capital to aggressively hunt a win-now piece. Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter are two players who will likely be dangled in trade talks over the next month.

I wrote about the Kings as a potential Bruce Brown suitor a few weeks ago (see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/torontoraptors/comments/1cwtxpy/a_speedrunners_guide_to_bruce_brown_and_what_can/) and, well it looks like they might be moving their pick.

I’m not too sure about the value of these pieces since I haven’t been following the NBA closely for a while, but if it’s just straight up Barnes + 13 for Brown, which team is losing value?

don’t trade for it. This draft is bad, there’s a reason why soo many teams are willing to move on with their picks.

If they can get huerter that would be real nice

Huerter and 13 for Bruce Brown and a 2nd rd pick? Maybe two 2nds?

What exactly do we have for value that we’re willing to trade? Kelly Olynyk?

I’d rather take a flyer on Davion Mitchell if they want Bruce Brown

Huerter and 13 for Bruce brown could be a win-win

  8. They should’ve gone for Pascal when they had the chance

Brown will be traded for a 2025 pick around deadline time. His expiring contract will be enticing for contending teams that are near the cap. The only way the raps move up in 2024, is if they see a must have player being ahead of where we are picking.

They are probably looking for a bigger trade than what we have

Guys, Bruce Brown is not the win now piece anyone is looking for.

If the Raps are using Bruce to trade up, I’d prefer trying to get Lonzo + 11 (which I know Caz has posted about) because Lonzo is also an expiring. Both Barnes and Huerter have 2 more years, and that second year could cause issues for us with Scottie’s extension kicking in.
