truthfully I just want to spend more time with her and my family instead the Pacers could still offer him a smaller extension this summer or he could just wait until next summer where he’s a free expect anywhere you can imagine I’m a hooer so to be able to play for the State team represent the P organization is a blessing and I’m I’m truly thankful for it he saying this is my city oh my God okay all right this week Victor Oladipo and Boogie cousins were both named players of the week Victor is living up to all the the hate that he got for that PG trade when it was like that’s all we got for yeah honestly it would be a blessing and honor to represent Indiana Pacers as an Allstar it’s really out of my control know credit my teammates for even giving me the opportunity to be thought of as as that and I give God all the glory and all the praise just going continue to keep working I got a lot of work to do get where I want to be 15 seconds to play seven here’s a three by Ola defa he hit it Victor Ola defa from threo range and the Pacers have a one-point lead what’s your confidence level against these guys right now I believe we were confident even before the series started and we’re still confident now game seven we know it’s going to be a hostile environment you know it’s going to be very emotional but we’re looking forward to the challenge when you have that confidence the confidence that I have and you have that the people who believe in you on the sidelines and in the locker room it makes it that much easier to just give it your all um and play with confidence so Pacers a lot of things about the Pacers but have a good mix of young and veterans players that’s been there and done that so to speak I look for them to jump a little bit in the Eastern Conference it’s wide open Victor olot unfortunately for the Pacers didn’t last too long in this game goes barin to the hole there falls into a cameraman watch it one more time on replay got injured on the play left with a sore [Music] knee and now to a site that no Pacers fan wants to see Victor Oladipo getting carried off the court tonight on a stretcher yeah he suffered a crushing injury during tonight’s game that some sadly are speculating could be season ending trying to make a splash this year you do because I don’t see Victor coming back healthy next year not at all no not it’s certainly not early enough we’re strong enough to help them make a run next year you’re two years down the road for the entire game on Wednesday give and go oh yes oh way a puncture that one oh doas the entire got up on that one oh my goodness young man it was a season in which the Pacers overcame plenty of adversity Victor Oladipo of course going down the Pacers responded with a month of February they won six consecutive games ultimately though they lose round one to Boston four games to zero with the 18th pick in the 2019 NBA draft the Indiana Pacers select Goa baz from tii Georgia Malcolm Brogden the former Rookie of the Year chose to leave the team with the League’s best record to join the Pacers on a 4-year deal $85 million this was very unconventional because we expected a team to sign Brogden to an offer sheet we’re here to announce that we’ve traded for TJ Warren and we’ve signed Jeremy Lamb this summer came together in a huge way when you look at the theme of what we were trying to accomplish is we wanted to get better on the offensive end my agent said there could be a team that could come out a left field that we haven’t talked about Indiana is very interested I tried to jump on that opportunity cuz I have a lot of respect for this organization and wanted to play here the Pat domas sabon is agreeing to a new four-year deal can make up to $80 million domas averaged 14 points and nine boards Off the Bench last season there’ll be a starter alongside miles this season the Indiana Pacers very solid core has struggles last year scoring in the playoffs but they’re banking on Ola Depot coming back and Ola Depot is that guy in the Eastern Conference can make buckets when when when offenses go sideways one of two players in gu history to be an NBA Allstar sabonis has certainly helped his team win this year he’s averaging a double double with 18 points and 13 rebounds per game he’s reaching big Milestones as well God is good I mean you know I’m just thankful man it’s an emotional night you know just the year it’s been roller coaster at the end of the day I attacked that roller coaster I’m me I’m going to continue to attack it until I’m riding with with the wheels off so I can’t wait obviously when I got here and we started playing five on five um it kind of flared up a bit more and then we got it checked out the injury is what it is and I don’t really have a timetable or anything uh we’re just obviously I want to play and we want to get it um as quick as possible to be there with my teammates H day shot clock down to six finds Warr here’s a long three that’s it for 53 oh yeah sometimes you just have it you let it go just focus on making sure you know I get my knee right get fully strong get my health fully where it needs to be right now my main focus is getting healthy getting 100% healthy both internally and externally and coming back next year a different human being the Indiana Pacers fired coach Nate McMillan on Wednesday Less Than 3 weeks after announcing he would keep the job for two more years Pacers suffered their second straight first round sweep McMillan went 183 and 136 [Music] be all honest he’s not the player that’s going to take them to the championship in order to win a championship you need a top five player in this league and I don’t know if Ola Depot with all his injuries was going to get there and so if you can add some assets and trade them I think that’s what you do moving forward so if you are trying to win a championship you have to get Superstar talent and the question has remained is Victor Oladipo a superstar Talent Oladipo isn’t there yet one year left on the deal I don’t know if he’s going to get there in one year I feel like you have to trade him out and get somebody who can get you there where are you healthwise from right now when do you think you’ll be back I’ll be re-evaluated in 3 weeks head up see my doctors get another scan hopefully he’s in the right direction they wanted to be definitely eventually be on the court sometime the season just don’t know when I never have that I didn’t want to play for the Pacers or be in this organization all the other stuff man I can’t control what they say I’m just focused on me and improving being my best version of myself so I can help this team this organization and the City winning championship [Music] Victor Oladipo he’ll go to the rockets in return we get Caris LeVert a guard from the Nets and a draft pick while losing a start is tough this isn’t surprising this one is not a bad move for the Pacers they give it to sabonis he’s going to drive to the basket score and a foul to montis sabonis they the kation got his body into Williams every year you know every summer I just try to improve look at a lot of film over summer see where me better and help my team more and try to use um the opportunity this franchise is giving to me they trust me to lead the team you know get better you know the goal is always to get better and win as many as possible and go as far as we can Rick Carlile has agreed to a four-year deal with the team this is carlile’s second stint as head coach with the Pacers he had the job from 2003 to 2007 coached in Dallas for the past 13 Seasons leading the Mavericks to an NBA title in 2011 with the 13th pick in the 2021 NBA draft the Indiana Pacers select Chris Duarte from quto plat Dominican Republic and the University of Oregon everyone’s in shape everyone’s healthy everyone’s ready to go actually really excited I think we have a lot of depth I think we’re going to be a great foot you can see him sort of slowly walking off the cour at that point he would leave I like the tone of how we were competing we didn’t always play great but our intentions were good when we were getting beat we were trying it’s just a question of you know we’ve just got to try a little better and we’ve got to coach a little better and we just got to keep working on it this year I think we exceeded expectations and I hope that we continue to do that on a yearly basis next year whatever they have predicted for us I want to break through that wall and do what we feel like we can and more than $200 million I firmly believe Bruce Brown is the kind of guy that would be a Difference Maker on teams that are close to contending like he could be a Tipping Point type of role player because he does so many things well on the court there’s a lot to look forward to with this team it’s a youthful team but undoubtedly a talented one with expectations though comes hard work and accountability the leaders of this team halber and Miles Turner say it’s time to get back to winning here in Indie it’s not the Larry O’Brien trophy but it means something and again just the first year these things take some time before the tradition really takes hold but for the first year we saw some really exciting basketball because of this format Indiana Pacers star Tyrese halberton left this evening’s game with an injury Halton was carried off the court during the second quarter of the game against Boston Celtics he suffered a left hamstring strain and wouldn’t return to that [Music] game the Indiana Pacers are acquiring Pascal SE yakum from the Toronto Raptors and a three team trade sakam who is in the final year of his current deal is a two-time Allstar former NBA champ who is unfortunate to you know obviously that it ended this way but proud of the fight we just continuously got better and and also just kept fighting even though we had the downs but just Contin to fight through everything I think just continuing to play with that chip on our shoulder I think we’re a roster full of guys with chips on our shoulder we haven’t arrived by any means you know what I mean we had a great had a great year I don’t think anybody anticipated that we’d be capable of doing by making it to Eastern Conference Finals [Music]
