Maybe they hate Ant so much because personality wise he’s pretty much the opposite of Jokic. He’s loud and brash and talks a lot. He’s 100 percent American, African American, Atlanta as hell. Also his play style is the opposite of Jokic: athletic, plays above the rim, more about the scoring than the playmaking, etc. So these people take all these contrasts as an affront to what they know and love with Jokic. Because in some people’s minds they have to denigrate another player to fully support their favorite player. They have to create villains for their hero (many here are doing the same thing with Luka. Just stop. He’s not fucking Draymond Green). Just spitballing here.
