Chicago Bulls DRAFTING Ron Holland In Latest ESPN Mock Draft + Trade Up For Donovan Clingan?

[Music] what’s going on bulls fans welcome into the Bulls report and coming up on today’s show ESPN just dropped their latest mock draft for the draft that is uh less than a month away at this point so I’m super excited about that so we’ll get to their selection for the Chicago Bulls at pick 11 then also later on today’s show Jonathan gavone who works for ESPN said the Bulls are interested in trading up for Donovan clinging the Yukon Center so give you guys my thoughts on that here in a second but first off guys we are starting a subscriber battle for the month of June against 76ers now here at Chad Sports and as it stands right now they got a five subscriber lead but I’m trying to beat him so if you guys haven’t already lock Us in and hit that subscribe button to help me out and make me just look good for my bosses but round one pick 11 the Bulls select Ford Ron Holland of the g-league ignite as this is in interesting interesting pick but Jonathan Gabon wrote up this article explaining his thoughts on the Bulls taking Ron Holland saying Holland who is ranked number 11 in ESPN’s top 100 is in the conversation for teams that are drafting higher than this including Detroit at number five Scouts were hoping to see howand show more progress with his perimeter shooting than what they saw at the draft combine or at his prod day making him somewhat of a situational fit for certain lottery teams that are grappling with surrounding ing their existing players with ample spacing and that is definitely the biggest concern with Ron Holland is the three-point shooting ability this past season he only shot 24% but overall he was still able to be productive on the offensive side of floor still got up to 20 points per game he’s an elite Slasher in the open court and is specifically in transition so he’s still able to shoot 44% from the field but I mean his three-point shooting is definitely an issue and you know a little deeper on his three-point shots here it was ugly all over the board like even in catch and shoot wide open three-point opportunities he still shot 27.7% and then catch and shoot contested shots this past season was actually better than the open shots and shooting 11 of 37 at 29.7% off the dribble not good only took seven of them but only did hit one step back threes he was three of 10 Deep shots from NBA range he was two of 10 as well and then he had bad misses on 23 of 99 three-pointers he shot uh season which are either air balls or you know shots that you know barely hit the rim in my opinion on Ron Holland this is your Boomer bus pick like at the Bulls you know want to have a guy that like in my opinion like if he develops a three-point shot he could potentially be an All-Star in the uh NBA but that is also a massive if with his game since he has shown no or none ability or no ability to shoot it consistently at all throughout his career so far so I think this would be a boomer bus uh pick in comparison to a guy like Dalton connect or or a guy like Cody Williams or I still even think Cody Williams is Boomer bus but I would have more faith in him working out than a guy like Ron Holland but in terms of like best potential at pick 11 I think Ron Holland is your guy but more from Jonathan on Ron Holland he said the Bulls have been treading water for several seasons now and are starting at are staring at an aging roster with few prospects for improvement internally rolling the die on an 18-year-old such as Holland who at one point was ranked the number one player in his high school class and a strong Prospect at the top of his uh at the top of this draft could make sense at number 11 Holland’s competitiveness aggressiveness and scoring instincts give him a chance to emerge as a productive NBA player as per as his perimeter shooting and decisionmaking evolve and that’s his definitely his biggest question mark as his shooting uh and his decisionmaking I totally agree on that but he is 18.8 years of age 6’8 206 lb I was trying to come up with a pro comp for him I with Cam Whitmore I don’t love that Pro comparison cuz I thought Whitmore was a better score from the outside coming out in comparison to him but I think his role in the NBA would just be a slashing Wing he would be able to put pressure on the rim pretty consistently just due to his athletic ability but I just don’t think his offensive ceiling is that that high unless he does develop that outside shot but you know just with his form and just how it looks and obviously the numbers we just showed you I think that is you know not just a concern for him but it is you know a massive massive red flag and even like dating back to like I would consider Patrick Williams he was like a boomer bus pick for the Bulls like even his jump shot even though it did have a kind of a hitch coming out of Florida State he fixed it instantly so could Ron howand do the same thing you know have to wait and see but you guys let me know ESPN had the Bulls taking Ron howand at pick 11 but who do you want Chicago to draft in the NBA draft at pick 11 let me know your thoughts down in the comments section now we dive into Donovan CL section and description of today’s video so we did get a new report here that is suggesting that the Bulls have shown interest in potentially trading up for Donovan clink and I think Clingan is no doubt going to go I think in the top seven of this NBA draft I don’t know if he’ll ever fall you know past the Portland Trailblazers pick but I think the bull is going need to trade up you know definitely into the top seven if not the top five so this is how the draft order shakes out right now I don’t necessarily see the Hawks straing out of that pick um at number one but then the Wizards at two rockets could be an option at three Spurs potentially could be an option at four we talk about the Pistons here in a second as I think they are prime trade down candidate for the Bulls but you got the Hornets Trailblazer Spurs again Grizzlies and Utah Jazz and then the latest ESPN mock they had Donovan quing and Fallen to pick seven but if uh there’s another mock draft put out there by the uh ringer who had Donovan cling and going number two overall so I think he’s going to fall on from that two to seven range which is why I think the Bulls would need to get to at least pick five if they want to ensure themselves of Landing The Landing the Yukon Center and you know who has pick five Detroit Pistons and who who have shown you know somewhat interest into a potential Bulls trade Target like Zack LaVine also the Detroit Pistons so this is a trade I cooked up and I know people are freaking out right now why would we trade Zine for Evan fornier and Isaiah Stewart just to move up six spots the one of the top priorities for the Bulls this summer is moving off Zack ofine getting that toxicity out of the locker room because he clearly does not want to be here and also just personally I think it would be pretty funny to send Zack ofen to the Detroit Pistons so this is a trade idea I cooked up to land the Yukon Center who is just in my opinion I he’s one of my favorite draft prospects in this draft and if I had to you know hand pick one guy it would probably be Alex R but you know next on my list would probably be Donovan kingan for the Bulls but he had a great year for the Huskies um after winning back-to-back National Championship 13 uh points per game seven and a half boards very efficient from the field doesn’t need to work on his touch around the rim uh free throw percentage was at 58.3 so not the best for the big fell but I think he could definitely you know develop that and the reason I love this trade so much is cuz it would give the Bulls a young core they can build around and I just think with the situation the Bulls are at right now they need to go towards this youth movement they need to build through the draft and you know yes it would you know stink only you know getting to move up six spots for giving up Zack leine but you would have four guys who you could build around and Kobe white Iowa dumo Patrick Williams and Donovan kingan you got two guards you got a wing and and you got a center that could be your young core of the future but I’m sure this trade will get people talking and I’m just curious to see what you guys have to say would you accept this deal give me an a for accept or give me a d for decline keep in mind this will most likely get you Donovan clinging again you know a team could take him at number two or whatever it may be but you know you guys let me know would you do this deal and as always guys make sure you are subscribed to the channel if you made it this far on the video clearly we’re doing something you like so hit that subscribe button lock Us in and we’ll see you guys next time thank you so much for watching go bows [Music]
