the theme is Dallas we switched the NBA though game one NBA Finals four days away Thursday the 6th on ABC it’s the Mavericks who have won five straight road playoff games one shy of setting a new franchise record against the Celtics who have won 13 of 17 NBA titles after winning game one of a finals Tim bontemps on what a second chance at a title means for Jason Tatum two years ago Jason Tatum in the Boston Celtics reached the NBA Finals only to lose to the Golden State Warriors in six games that’s why Tatum said Saturday he views this year’s return trip to the finals against the Dallas Mavericks as a second chance one he and the Celtics hope will end with Boston claiming its record setting 18th NBA title it’s a lot that you know myself and and and we can learn from that experience being in the finals um and you know this time this go around is uh a lot different obviously we’ve been there before we came up short um and you know great opportunity uh to to make it to the finals again you know then you don’t always get a second chance so um really just looking at it as a second chance and um trying to simplify things as much as we can is just it’s another series that um we got to win now one significant difference between the Celtics two years ago and now is the presence of Center christas porzingis who missed the final 10 games of Boston’s run through the Eastern Conference playoffs with a C strain however Celtics coach Joe moula said porzingis participated fully in Saturday’s practice as he continues to Trend toward a potential return to the court in game one of the NBA finals on Thursday his importance cannot be understated porzingis impact is as large as that 73 frame career highs and field goal percentage at the rim and overall he also defends well holding opponents to 44% shooting in the paint when he was the one contesting those shots that is the best in the [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is

  1. Porzingus being healthy for The Finals is one thing. Prozingus staying healthy during The Finals is another.

  2. in the last 38 years the Celtics only have 1 championship. Lakers have 7, the Celtics fans are delusional as hell. The Mavs are about to make it 2. mffl

  3. Doubt it, they have proven to be to inconsistent.
But then Luka collapses in the playoffs too, hence why they brought in kyrie.
    Nobody wins.

  4. As a Redskins/Commanders fan in the NFL and Celtics fan in NBA, “Beat dallas” never sounded so good!!!

  5. Game 1 is the biggest for the Celtics having Porzingis even to just come off the bench will make it so much easier for Celtics to win this championship. Luka is more hyped, but JT n JB will be up to the challenge with Tatum as new face of the nba.

  6. All I ask is that Celtics fans boo and insult Luka and Kyrie the whole time. Just make it as ugly and hateful as possible please. Y’all will get in their heads…I promise…

  7. I get the hate on the Celtics and their easy path to the finals. But they were the #1 seed. Isn’t that always the case? If you’re that good you get an easier path.

  8. As a Celtics fan… I'm not hopeful… the Mavs are just too good. They have Luka who plays like the best player on the world. And we have Tatum.

  9. If the Celtics don’t win this year they won’t make it back to the Finals…Heat gonna go crazy in free agency
