[Music] I three New York an opportunity to fou in the back court they don’t do so after missing the free throw I mean the coaching you has to be pulling his hair out in a moment like that take me from that moment on right answer but in that situation I’ve I was the fastest coach to win a 150 games in NBA history you must foul in that situation because and Philadelphia is out of timeouts you fou send you know Tyreek Maxi to the free throw line who missed two free throws two or three free throws so you don’t know what’s going to happen just foul him at half court even though it’s nine seconds left in the game is he just made a three you gotta foul yeah different coaches different philosophies hindsight being 2020 that seemed to be the strategy there Tom tibo does not pull that lever Sam this has been an amazing series it certainly has and this another installment into it I want to take you to Tyrese Maxi not just that shot but what you saw down the stretch from this young man after a spotty three quarters he really turned it on in the fourth and Beyond what did you see there you know I’ve been thinking as I was watching this performance how many series the Sixers have lost over the last few years because nobody other than Joel embiid could do a thing there was that r series all the way back in 2019 where they lost the minutes that he sat by over a 100 points there was a series against Atlanta where Ben Simmons obviously doesn’t want to take the shot there was a series against Miami where James Harden is complaining oh I didn’t get the ball what can I do well finally in the biggest of moments the season on the line it wasn’t Joel ID it was Tyrese Maxi and that just changes the entire trajectory deal with Kel paly they’ve never really had that guy that they can trust in that moment and now they do spect acular performance from Tyrese Maxi in those final moments and then to get his team over the hump here 3-2 the series now stands and Coach Advantage by the Numbers still belongs to New York in that vein but sometimes playoff basketball you know best is about maintaining momentum and emotion and this one emotionally has to take some wind out of the sales of New York where does that momentum lie as we head back to Philly in your eyes well initially um I had Philadelphia winning this series okay but I had the double back because I thought they were dead in the water so I had the Knicks winning tonight so I’m kind of confusing myself but at the end of the day I think all of the momentum is with uh Philadelphia they’re GNA go back Joel MB didn’t play as well as he wanted to in front of his home crowd we had Allan Iverson on the front row Dawn Staley on the front row julius’s Randle and they basically let an entire city down where the Knicks faithful took over the subway system and said some bad things about Joel and be I think they come back redeem themselves get it to a game seven who knows what’s going to happen in the game seven Jaylen brunson’s going to have to get some help uh especially from you know their bench McBride comes out and basically we’re down to two seven-man rotations and uh who can stay healthy look like the Knicks ran out of gas a little bit in overtime so we we’ll see what happens for game six interesting that the Knicks of the team running out of the gas banged up on both sides yes but significant injury to embiid that he’s playing through Maxi gets dinged late in this one but still Philadelphia overcoming the odds because this one is not over take a look at your late game comebacks in this series the margin has been so thin but we play on 32 headed back to Philly conversation continues with our guys and I want to take it a little bit deeper here on Joel embiid a triple double but 1910 and 16 not his best performance one again once again excuse me a quadruple double if we want to consider turnovers as well Sam what did you see from embiid obviously this is a man playing at less than 100% you cited all of the injuries and ailments he’s dealing with right now did that look like all we’re going to get from embiid throughout the rest of this series do you think there’s another gear he can call upon still you know I want to look at this with the glass glass half full approach here obviously he didn’t shoot well he only scores the 19 points what do we expect out of superstars when the sh shots aren’t falling we want to see them find other ways to contribute to the game now he when the Knicks have been throwing all this help they’ve been throwing doubles at him he’s reading the game well he’s making good passes he’s contributing on the boards the defense was up and down but he did what he needed to do down the stretch in an overtime so look I don’t think we’re going to get the version of Joel embiid that we saw in the regular season that was scoring you know one point per minute but I think if he can do something close to what he did tonight ideally towards New York they bounced back and they came back in game three and they won now the pressure is all in the Knicks they’ve had the punched in the face loss how are the Knicks going to respond to that uh time will tell as we’ll see these two go at it again I do want to take the individual approach here because it doesn’t come in a win but Jaylen Brunson spectacular once again 87 points between his last two performances coach you sort of alluded to it earlier though balls stopping there a lot of standing around and overtime watching him isolate is that the best approach I mean give me both sides of this one here how impressed Were You by Brunson but also what do the Knicks need to be doing offensively yeah and it looked like you know Robinson mitell Robinson was limping around similar to what Anthony Davis was doing one with a leg one with a shoulder they got to get him more involved uh especially on the pick and rolls being able to hit that pocket pass they got to be able to figure out how to create four on threes and three on two on the backside especially when Brunson get trapped um I think that Philadelphia is going to say going into game six hey we we don’t have an answer for Bronson so let’s sh down the others who struggle to score and guys who struggle to make plays off the dill Avery Johnson Sam Quinn the beauty in it all is we get another one of these heading back to Philly 32 we appreciate you guys here’s a look at Joel embiid triple double plus five blocks in a playoff game I mean you could frame this performance a number of different ways a flant one late in this game putting his team in a situation they did not need to be in did not shoot it well from the field but as Sam said filling in the spaces elsewhere 19 10 16 5 10 turnovers you make sense of it cuz I can’t plenty more reaction coming e e e I will not stop my anger is my greatest strength no matter how long it takes I will find you I can turn anything into a weapon I will not stop the target is close I can sense it no matter how long it takes I will find you e e no matter how long it takes I will find you e my anger is my greatest strength the target is close I can sense it I can turn anything into a weapon no matter how long it takes I will find you for my anger is my greatest strength the target is close I can sense it I can turn anything into a weapon my anger is my greatest strength
