Reacting to ESPN’s NEW 2024 NBA Mock Draft…

so today we have got the NBA marck draft something a little bit different than talking about the WNBA for a while hopefully we’re going to be talking a little bit more about it but hopefully that will we can get more onto this type of stuff but yeah we’ll be looking at the mock draft after the deadline so obviously players have withdrawn bronny James is not one of them and we’ll be talking a little bit about bronny James that I think the Lakers take him a 1 I have a weird feeling Lakers take him a 1 before we get on to though if you guys are new to the channel subscribe thank you guys we’re at away from 2K I’ve been trying to get away from 2K I thought you know what this is going to be a long-term tactic or a long-term thing I’m going to take a huge hit MoneyWise for a while and no it’s looking like it’s it’s going to be fine it’s looking like I might be able to do this long term so thank you guys so much so number one they got Zachary ree I actually do like ree rumor is that it’s a guarantee from what I’ve heard it is a guarantee that one of Ray and alexar is going one and the other is going two as far as I’m aware there is a 0% chance that they slide um says here team nobody knows what uh waiter Le it’s unclear how much of an appetite they have for ENT a rebuilding mode and that’s the thing I think if they’re going to rebuild you take alexar if you’re not going to rebuild you take re cuz re fits in better right now he’s better player than alexar right now trading this pick for more immediate I think yeah trading would make sense honestly taking um four and eight and going and if you want that big taking like a cal we at eight and then at number four taking like a Stefon Castle something like that would I think would actually suit the team a little bit more and I know you’re saying oh to cast the third Point care that man’s not point guard um he thinks he is but he’s pretty good he might be able to play there but like he’s not a starting point guard right now anyway Alex s at number two without question without question um with rival teams connecting Wizards to Res and star a long term upside for SAR is that he’s a strong fit Washington I actually think SAR to Washington is perfect like I think I don’t think SAR is that good right now but I think SAR does have star potential I just don’t think he’s going to reach that potential early on in his career but I do think that when it comes to um the Wizards the SAR is the perfect player for Washington I think if they can somehow manage to get him they’re in a great great scenario uh we players such as Klan and balis like there’s no way they take D Kling two is there there’s just no way the Rockets are going to take Reed Shepherd I don’t mind it I really don’t mind it but like the the funny thing is is that the room one of the rumors is that they’re going to package this pick with some of the picks they already own so basically because the Nets aren’t in really in control of their Destiny for a while the rumor is they’re going to trade this as well as a couple of the other picks they own just so the Nets get back all their picks if the Nets get this pick it’s going to be if it’s for M Bridges and the Nets get this pick they’re going to take Donovan klling in here they’re going to take Kling in here and they’re probably going to get rid of Claxton or find a way off Claxton even though I think Claxton is better than clinging Shephard kind of makes sense I think piing him a three is too high but it’s not the worst pick in the world Stefon four so like a lot of people are mocking this to Stefon Castle primary position point guard just cuz the man says he wants to be a point guard does not mean he’s a point guard I’m sorry but it just it’s surr the problem is is that you’ve got to then find a sniper somewhere because defon C is going to be fine but I get it Deon Deon Vel can shoot the ball but like if you got Castle Vel if Kell Johnson’s still there if sohan’s still there you got a whole lot of n shooting you got a whole lack of playmaking we’ve seen how bad Victor or how much better Victor wanyama is with a playmaker I don’t I think maybe taking ston Castle eight makes sense I don’t think taking him a four unless you want to take him a four and you are banking on one of topic or Dillingham being there at eight that’s the only way I can see Stan Casta going for I just don’t he’s the greatest fit Matas like that is probably I think this is just a given I don’t think bual is great I said it in one of my other mon drafts that like I think balis is the idea of him cuz he’s this 610 Wing pretty looking jump shot can handle the ball a little bit the idea of him is better than him as the actual player like again with some of these guys if he was that guy he would be with the Lithuania Senior Team I’m just saying but he is he’s not going to about Rob Dillingham to Charlotte why would they take Rob Dillingham like why would they this is this is one of the ones where I don’t get why would they get rid of Terry roier to sign to draft Terry roier like they got off Terry roir for a reason like I also don’t see them taking cling in here because they got Mark Williams but why not just go for like the upside and Ron Holland or even just go for the shooting ability right now of like a dton connect I it all depends what you’re looking for but dillingham’s not it at this pick he’s I don’t think a six Dillingham is a smart pick at all Portland Trail blazes take Donovan kingan um Portland are it’s like apparently Portland are one of teams that want to trade up for kingan again I don’t see I don’t see the purpose in that like in my opinion DeAndre right now is better than Donan kinging and DeAndre is quite a lot better than Donovan kingan Don like people forget because no one G gave a damn a bit to Portland TR blazes year last year because obviously no one was watching um what’s his name no one was watching scoot handers no one was watching these players I genuinely do think that um DeAndre Aon had a really really nice I thought he genuinely had a really good end of the year and I just don’t I don’t see there being a point in getting rid of him because he has no Aon has no trade value and I don’t see a scenario where kingan starts over eight and early and why would you at number seven take a guy that’s not going to play is not going to start and you can’t play him and eight at the same time so like it’s a case of you’re either freezing out your M your max contract player or you’re freezing out your top 10 pick it’s going to end up as one of those things because again aan does not have trade value so I just don’t see the point I don’t get why I do not get why they are going to take Donovan clayon at number eight Salone he’s just the highest upside he is the highest upside like no if answerer buts about it this is the highest upside player in this draft he’s big and I know I think he’s listed at like the same height he’s a little bit younger than the rest of them He’s listed I think the same height as Reet he just looks bigger he shoots the ball better he’s more athletic than Ray he’s got everything he’s got absolutely everything you need physical tools wise and skill-wise he has everything a little bit lacking as far as like his just sharpness for at the NBA level and I don’t think he’s going to come in I don’t think he’s going to come in as a rookie deer or anything he’s a project player but he is like for me he is a high equal upside higher floor us man Jang and for those your guys are like oh us man Jang sucks like no us man Jang is like Usman Jang was two years away from being a year away and it’s been two years and look he was he hasn’t been terrible for OKC but he just they’re they got a little bit too good too fast for his development but he’ll be an NBA player more than likely and that’s what you’re kind of looking at as Salone but I do think that they don’t pass on topich here there’s no way they pass on topich at eight there’s no way topic Falls to nine there’s no way topish falls out of the top 10 is there the Jazz aren’t going to take him but Dalton connects to the Memphis Grizzlies Memphis are going to take a big in this draft and that’s one of the things like I’m so certain of they’re going to pray that kingan falls in their lap if they don’t take Donovan kingan why would you take Dot and connect you can see here the roster already features three significant building blocks and stars jamaran J Junior desm Bane two of these guys are scores why would you use a top 10 pick on a guy that does the same thing as desin ban like finding Plug and Play options there’s a difference between needing to find Plug and Play options which the Memphis Grizzlies don’t actually need to do what the Memphis Grizzlies need to do is find a big man is to find someone they can play at the center position like they’ve lost their stevenh Adams like Steven Adams is so important to this team they’ve lost Steph Adams why not take the risk why not take because I actually have a feeling that like this is where for me you got to just take cler like it’s just you take that risk that the attit that his attitude’s fine because how so many years like it happened with Gigi um like GG Jackson last year it happened with Anthony Edwards where these teams I know they didn’t pass on Anthony Edwards but there was chatter at them passing on them teams weren’t willing to trade up for number one because they didn’t like Anthony Edward’s attitude I think kware is going to be that guy and I just don’t see the Memphis Grizz taking D connect I’m sorry I don’t think see them do see them doing it this is a dumb Choice as well for the Utah Jazz they’re two best players like keante George and Colin seon are both like lead guards I know like they’re two of their best players I don’t know why I said they’re two best players cuz obviously Larry Markin is there um I don’t like if he drops if he drops because of the injuries don’t take him a 10 there’s better options there are genuinely better options he have D connects available here for then take dton connect if again Ron Holland still on the board take Ron Holland he fits you guys better than toic does Ron Holland at 11 if the Bulls somehow can land Ron Holland they’re going to have a very very good draft I have a feeling that they might go and take what’s his name they might take Cody Williams here but if Ron Holland’s on the board the balls are going to take him without question like there’s no doubt about it if Ron Holland’s available they’ll take him I can’t see him fall to 11 though Cody Williams 12 no there’s no there’s actually no way look I actually like Devan Carter I don’t think he’s a bad pick there is no way and I mean it no way that Cody Williams Falls past OKC there it’s just not happening it is not happening they are not and I repeat not passing on the brother of their second best player who is in and around this spot to draft anyway like Cody Williams people had Cody Williams going number one before the tournament he is not falling past 12 especially with 12 being OKC there is no way Devin cter is a good player don’t get me wrong Deon Carter is a good player him falling to Miami now that’s dangerous there’s no way he’s falling there jacobe Walter a 13 yeah jacobe Walter fine fine like if I’m the Sacramento Kings I wouldn’t be necessarily looking at jacobe Walter if I’m them I’m looking to replace Malik Monk and Jared McCain might be the best player for that uh he’s just I just think he is that guy that’s G to come in and just get Buckets like if someone like a dilling was available there you might take him but I do think Jared McCain is the is the guy that they should probably take but KOB Al is not that bad and Cody Williams at 14 like fair enough fair enough like if he’s there take him he’s a little bit shorter than expected than he’s meant to be but oh I don’t I don’t he’s not falling to 14 he’s not falling to 14 15 Zach e Zach Ed is actually a pretty good option of 15 for Miami I think Devin Carter Falls to here I wouldn’t be surprised to see Zach Ed go number nine to Memphis Zach going nine to Memphis I think Zach going nine to Memphis is more likely than Memphis taking D connect at n but 15 Miami makes sense Miami will figure out a way to use him Jared McCain for the Sixers that’s you know what you know what for four to Sixers that’s not a bad pick that’s really not a bad player get 7 TR into Silva better than Brony James they’re going to take bronny James do you want to know why they’re going to take bronny James because there’s the smoke screen there’s the Phoenix Sun Smoke screen the Lakers want to keep LeBron James at all costs that is their most important thing this offseason to keep LeBron James they’re not going to want him to leave so the Lakers have to take him the Lakers have to take bronia 17 because of the smoke screen that is the pho like the only two teams are going to take him are the Suns or the Lakers because they know he’s not going to be there at 55 as much as the Silva is a lot better Tristan Silva is a lot better than brownie James he’s going to be one of a really nice players in this draft like I wouldn’t mind seeing Miami take him a 15 honestly like Miami do see tend to do better with these like NBA ready rookies and he is an NBA ready rookie it’s just Brony James is G 17 Johnny Fury at 18 I guess it’s a smart people are saying he was like oh he should have like went back to college now if he’s going to be a first round picks go to the NBA he’s good he didn’t do much of Kansas but he’s fine Kean George again at 19 it’s fine I’m just going to see what this’s a big point guard here in Caron Carrington not the worst um pick for Cleveland colli or 21 that is crazy that is crazy wait mock draft from November to 30th Isaiah Collier number one oh my God I need to react to this one I need to react to this one from November to 30th but there’s no way he drops to 21 like he could well drop out a lottery there’s no way he drops 21 filipowski for Phoenix pH not actually the worst player for them to get to be fair kware if Milwaukee land kware there’s no way if they somehow land kle where fair play like that is a guy that will help them he will help them because they obviously they got Brook Lopez I don’t think he helps them next year but when Brook Lopez is going if they can keep Bobby por suround kware is a good player there you’ve got the Knicks taking Eves Missy I think honestly I think K we falling to the Knicks you’ll figure out very quickly if he falls to the Knicks whether or not he’s going to be good if he can survive a Tibido New York taking titler colic I don’t understand I think with two picks in a row from New York they’re probably I think they’re going to use one of these on Nicola jich I think he just fits in he’s going to play right away uh bo Bobby Clinton miss the Swedish player I can’t remember the last Swedish player that got drafted he is again good player like he’s 24 years old as good as he was as good as he was at Katon as good as he was in the combine I still think 26 might be 27 might be a bit High especially when jur is still on the board just want to see scroll through see is there any picks that I’m not the biggest fan of Ryan Ryan da is such an interesting one because of how good he is on defense Teran Shannon Jr is a guy that like if the offc court stuff gets cleared up is definitely a High pick but obviously there’s a potential that he never plays a game in the NBA if it’s if what he’s accused of is true who else is there 39 if the Memphis Grizzlies land jurisich at 39 considering they have them drafting um what’s his name Dalton connect he might be their best rookie and Bon 40 he’ll be just because of his atticism and his just bity just get boards and I think he might just be a lob threat early on I think he actually could be a pretty good player um early enough in his career Melvin a Jena at 47 I like I actually do like that to Orlando cuz he gets buckets like Melvin a Jena just gets buckets anyone else bronny James to Golden State wow I don’t see that happening I don’t see that happening at all but yeah otherwise it’s uh just a normal Mock Draft so this is obviously the ESPN mock draft
