[Pompey] Based on those constraints, a source said Nico Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Kyle Lowry are the free agents the team most likely would like to re-sign. Not only do they mesh well with All-Stars Maxey and Joel Embiid, they might not command a lot of money in the free-agent market.

Other tidbits (this was about the Sixers non star plans for free agents)

    >Defensively, Batum wasn’t just one of the team’s best perimeter defenders. He was able to guard all five positions for the Sixers. As a result, he’s at the top of Sixers’ priority list for retaining free agents. However, he a candidate for a little more money than originally expected on a shorter deal.

    >While Lowry and Oubre also are major priorities, the Sixers ability to retain them could come down to what they’re willing to take in free agency.

Oubre is 28, he should be looking to get paid

  3. If Batum isn’t planning on retiring, they should absolutely resign him. He’s exactly the sort of player they need. Oubre’s a pretty good fit in Philly but I’m not sure what kind of offers he’s gonna get

Interesting that there’s no mention of Melton though

Keeping Kelly Oubre would be huge for them, he had an excellent year. If they can get Paul George or LeBron like many people are predicting, KO will be one of the better backup forwards in the league that I can think of

all three of these guys were incredibly frustrating to deal with in the playoffs. kelly maybe less so, but he defo went off against us at least twice counting that one regular season game in march or something.

batum and lowry it was just like why the fuck are these old men fucking with us like this?

Not relevant but all were Charlotte Hornets at one point

Oh this is slow walking the inevitable “we like the guys we have and are running it back” when they can’t lure PG or someone

My main targets for them would be Gary Trent Jr, Derrick Jones Jr, and Jerami Grant via trade if none of their top-tier targets work out.

Lowry will only get Vet-Min offers. Batum and Oubre can get anywhere from the Tax MLE ($5mil) to regular MLE ($13mil).

Think the Nuggets should look at both Oubre and Batum. They probably can’t afford them but both of those guys would be nice additions to the bench especially Kelly in my eyes.

Its nice to see that finally some of these players want to re-sign, as opposed to resign.

Kyle Lowry was pretty booty in the Knicks series. 7 points a game on 34% shooting over 30 minutes isn’t Tobias Harris bad but it’s not far off. It’s not like he tore up any other category either. Cam Payne got a lot more done in far fewer minutes and I’d rather see him back than Lowry but I think Lowry is Nurses pet veteran player every coach seems to have.

Lowry would be a very bad signing. He is very old and Nurse overplays him severely.

  14. Oubre HAS to at least make the MLE, right?

He was so good this year and that sort of big wing player is always in demand around the league. Him and Derrick Jones Jr are probably the best minimum salary signings in the league this year and their performance should get them paid this coming off-season.

Watching Batum go fucking nuts against the Heat was definitely my favorite part of the playoffs so far

This could be Lowry’s last year. That’s crazy lol
