Caitlin Clark reacts to Chennedy Carter hard foul in Fever’s FIRST home win over Sky | SportsCenter

plenty of nerves touched here between the Chicago Sky Indiana Fever it’s Angel Reese Caitlyn Clark going toe-to-toe as Professionals for the first time and Camila cardoso making her WNBA debut after injuring her shoulder in a pre-season game she was the third overall pick so this game features three of the top seven picks in the WNBA draft this last April Clark with the triple and then Angel ree cleaning up the offensive rebound here eight points 13 rebound B she leads the league in boards not just for a rookie but like as an entirety of the league it’s Caitlyn Clark again in the here cardoso making her debut yeah she’s going to be a tremendous player and um maybe we wouldn’t have loved her first game being versus but it’s cool at the same time so so two players on the court who have kept Caitlyn Clark away from an NCAA Championship Angel re two seasons ago camil cardosa this past season getting her first bucket there 11 points8 boards and then just banging down low remember in that national championship game she was dominating the paint both offensively and defensively aah Boston first overall pick two seasons ago if at first you don’t succeed try again and if that doesn’t succeed try again third time the charm for Leah Boston but take a look at Caitlyn Clark and Kennedy Carter on the way down after that shot and then ensuing Sky possession here we go it’s what everybody was talking about on social media yesterday 15 seconds to go in the third quarter this off the inbound Carter seemingly out of nowhere for no apparent reason we didn’t get an explanation body checks Caitlyn Clark refs would review it they did call a foul away from the ball it was not a technical fever they up 54-49 when play ensued it’s Kelsey Mitchell she had a team High 18 points the fever R up by seven after the made free throw and then it’s Clark posting up she had a loud 11 points eight boards six assist and then it’s Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark down low Angel Reese holding down post position Clark getting shoved away ree Clark making eye contact there after this game Angel Reese did not speak to reporters about this game it’s a snug one five-point game with two and a half minutes to go it’s Carter with the steal the sky down by three following ensuing rather Sky possession it’s cardoso again brings Chicago to within one point the Indiana Fever haven’t won a game at home this season they’re 0 for four they’re finally in the win column 7170 they get their first win afterwards Clark on the physical play it is what it is you know I feel like I’m just at the point where you accept it um and don’t retaliate like you know just let them hit you be what it is don’t let it get inside your head um and know it’s coming I think at this point like I know I’m going to take a couple hard shots a game and that’s what it is just stay in the game and saying what’s important she turn to you a little bit B yeah after the after I ain’t answering no kayn Clark questions did she say anything I don’t know what she said what’ you say to her I didn’t say anything that’s enough I’m trying not to get v um we’re just going to keep sending these possessions to the league and these plays and hopefully they’ll start you know taking a better look at at at some of the things that we see happening or we think is happening you know it’s tough you know to keep getting hammered the way she does and to not get rewarded with free throws or you know just a foul call like she’s she’s continuing to fight through that uh very clearly an issue and even with some of those missed calls Caitlyn Clark has still drawn the third most fouls in the WNBA this year with 45 she’s up there with finals MVPs and Banna Stewart Asia Wilson as well as Allstars and juwel Lloyd and Alysa thas he’s also drawn 14 more fouls than any other rookie he [Music]

  1. Go to 1:08 and Look at Clark kinda shove Carter in the back of her head and then talk trash running back. That was the end of the previous play going into the hard foul. Why does Clark get no hate for that? Reese talks trash and she's a villain but when Clark does it it's competitive and overlooked. Carter was just fired up. Nothing that deep about jealousy here. Know the whole story before commenting.

  2. No one said a word about the hard foul Caitlin did under the Goal when she whipped her arm back and knocked down a Sky player. I fare this double standard & hypocrisy when dealing with CC.

  3. No problem with tough play but if you’re going to check someone have the decency to square up so that they can see you. Blindside hits can end careers.

  4. the wnba is a joke, they’ve been begging for years to have the game grow but once a star triggered this growth for the whole league for these petty mfs hate it, like what do you want

  5. Indiana needs to fire their coach and find a new one who knows how to use and protect Clark better

  6. Stop tripping, It's not hating, it's not jealousy. All the greats got the same treatments. From the day Michael Jordan step on the court was the same thing. Shaq as well, kobe as well. Stop making excuses for CC,

  7. CHEAP, DENIGRATING / DIRTY and STUPID foul by Carter. Chennedy, the fool, thinks she needs to resort to a hard hockey body check type of tactic to distract Caitlin. Caitlin Clark, the smarter and MUCH BETTER PLAYER is far above Carter as a professional and as a person. CC = Superior (SUPER) skills, smarts and maturity. Rookie sensation.

The league is fortunate to have CC in the Indiana Fever, a true and mutual privilege. By the same token, the league has[?] to cope with a shameful, disgraceful and burdensome element like Chennedy Carter. She should have been ejected for that dumb act, even fined as well for showing such filth.

  8. As predicted, the butch players will rough-up Clark because she is straight. Reason #10 to never watch a WNBA game. Reason #1 was the disgusting reply to Luka's attempt to support them.

  9. Women… They finally have a golden goose in their sport that is already helping ( chartered flight, bring eyes) and they want to kill it. So stupid…

  10. Caitlin Clark is 2024's Jackie Robinson. Thanx WNBA for taking us back to 1947. You should be soooooooo proud of yourselves!!!

  11. What brutal and ugly behavior of the players from Chicago. Unfortunately they are not the only ones in Wnba who are jealous of Clark

  12. All these bitter, petty black woken that are WNBA veterans can’t live with the fact that a white girl from Iowa is the reason why people are finally watching their sport.

Clark will be the reason why the WNBA gets a better profit sharing agreement, a better broadcast deal, and better player accommodations the next time those contracts are negotiated. But these black girls are so consumed by petty racial animosity that they are willing to sacrifice all of that for a moment of sanctimonious cathartic pleasure.

  13. If Caitlin Clark got hit in the neck like Angel was last week i wonder what her fans will say, they are rookies the veterans will not role out red carpet for them. The rookies just got to play through them and she's not the most fouled 😢 people should stop crying about this they're all professional athletes

  14. What a bunch of jealous B's. Caitlyn brings interest to the wnba, and the other players all turn into Bill Lambier, Dennis Rodman, or Draymond Green. And not in a good way. The cheap shots are ridiculous and everyone is going to tune out because it looks more like slapshot hockey than good basketball. And in what world do you see someone hip check someone else away from the ball and go back to the bench and get high fives and somehow don't call it a flagrant foul (2 shots and the ball). The league needs to fine the players and the ref's. That was just disgusting. The fever need to higher some enforcers I guess if the other teams want to play hockey. Just put them in to hurt anyone who wants to take cheap shots.

  15. I don't like or dislike Caitlyn but like someone else said does her own teammates like her? I've seen players get very physical with her and her teammates don't even respond.

  16. They are targeting her because they have been brainwashed to think she has “white privilege”.

  17. Why aren't they giving out technical and flagrant fouls for these? It's so obvious it's insane.

  18. What WNBA did to Caitlyn:
    * 11 games in 20 days – the most in WNBA
    * Questionable coaching
    * Bullying every game including assault and soft or no calls by refs
    * No impactful help from teammates except a couple
They can't kill Caitlin. But Caitlin can kill the WNBA. Watch.
