Caruso Trade Incoming… Report Reveals Bulls Targeting MAJOR Trade | Chicago Bulls News

will the Chicago Bulls look to trade up in this year’s NBA draft a recent report has said that there’s a hypothetical trade where the Chicago Bulls would trade with the Houston Rockets for the third pick in this year’s NBA draft we’re going to be talking about this hypothetical trade and if this is a good scenario for the Chicago Bulls this is Rico greenhow and this is another episode of bulls digest and before we jump into it want to let you know that 75.1% % of you guys that watch the videos are not subscribed to the channel so make sure you hit that subscribe button so you can stay up to date with your latest news and happenings around your Chicago Bulls and without further Ado let’s jump into the topic of the day which is Bulls get the third pick in the 2024 draft all right guys so this is a lot to unpack here so it looks like that the Houston Rockets uh reportedly are looking to go ahead and Shop the Third pick in this year’s NBA draft and this article is suggesting that the Chicago Bulls might want to be a trade partner with the Houston Rockets uh to go ahead and move up in this year’s NBA draft uh to do so in this article it suggests that we would uh be moving Alex Caruso and our 11th pick for the third pick in this year’s NBA draft and we’re also go going to get um a power forward and a center back back and uh T een guys and so uh we’ll go ahead and break into uh essentially what this article is saying and it’s it’s saying that Houston would want to possibly do this deal uh because for one Houston is looking to get some vetan leadership here and so I I understand it in one aspect because when you look at Alex Caruso you look at the body of work especially this year I think everything went up for him and especially on the offensive end here all right and so for Houston they’re probably thinking all right we have Dylan Brooks here but if we can get Alex kuso over here all right we’re getting a guy that consistently plays some good offense for us and he’s shown now that he can be a playmaker all right and I think he always could but I think he’s always been a focus on the defensive end so I think for Houston it makes a lot of sense uh especially with the fact that they feel like they’re really ascending into a win right now situation I I have to imagine that Houston is kind of sitting back thinking that they’re the next team that can make that OKC Minnesota Timberwolves kind of jump I think that they were right on the cusp this year from going ahead and moving into the playoffs and I think that certainly when you look at what they’re building all right and so I I love what they have uh with sigon I love what they have with Jabari Smith um not necessarily sold on Jaylen Smith just yet but I think he he’s ascending uh so you add Alex Cru over there I think that that makes a whole bunch of sense and I I like the fact that when you look at where they would draft if we were to make the swap I feel like that as you go later in this draft I feel like that that’s where the real value is I feel like uh to me this is that type of draft that’s like a 2013 draft where you’re going to find your Giannis or whatever the case may be down there in that uh you know 16 uh the 13 area somewhere in there you’re going to find that type of player and I think that the real value uh maybe continues to go up as the draft uh continues on all right and so I think as you start to go down I think that’s where you start to to get some really good prospects here so um you know with that being said on the Chicago Bulls front I’m not really interested in doing so number one if we were to go ahead and give up our pick for the third pick um I I I I guess you could argue that hey we have just just about as good a chance to get it right at three as we do 11 I I don’t think that we’re going to get that right at three and to be honest with you I think the further you go down in the draft the better off chance you have in getting it right and I mean that’s just my opinion with this draft because it’s a weak class so I think that if the Bulls were forced to pick higher I think that they have a better chance and really probably picking a player that’s not going to fit for them now I I know you could argue this and say say well that’s really anywhere in the draft and it at any place that’s true that’s absolutely true but I just think that the Bulls are better served staying where they are and they have the best chance to probably get a player with a better fit there I just that’s just my opinion all right guys so um anyhow I think that that’s number one to start there two if we were to make a deal with Houston I and make this type of deal we’re going to give up that 11th pick uh because I don’t believe in the third pick in the draft there’s a player that Houston would absolutely have to attach for me to make this deal happen uh and that’s going to be cam Whitmore okay so cam Whitmore has to come over in this deal uh under all circumstances okay so if I’m going to take een I have to have uh cam Whitmore to come over cam Whitmore was the guy I think he was the summer league MVP last season and this guy has shown that he is absolutely a guy that can go out and get you a buck kid he is a 67 uh Swingman that is terrific uh playing a little bit of small forward actually a lot of small forward and a bit of power forward as well and I think that this is a guy essentially that hasn’t even really been unlocked with what he can do potentially wise and I just have to imagine that if we were to get a guy like cam Whitmore over here and get him into our rotation perhaps start I think that this is a guy much like sagon uh over here for the Houston Rockets I don’t think he’s going to turn back I I really don’t think he’s going to turn back I think he’s that good of a player uh for me just having to look at him up close having watched some of his games as well I I think that this is a guy that for sure Chicago would want to press to get over all right and this is Cam Whitmore here throwing it down on somebody like I said man this guy is super athletic he can shoot the basketball at a high clip guys and look this is what he was compared to as as far as the NBA comparison uh you’re looking at Kellin Johnson you’re looking at Jay Crowder you’re looking at Miles Bridges and the one thing that I love about this guy is he played for Villanova guys and this is a guy absolutely uh you know looking at the Knicks Villanova essentially is the Knicks and this is a guy that I think was I think he was undervalued personally in last year’s draft and I think that this guy has shown that he can play uh really on the big stage all right cuz we’re going to bring up his stats right now here’s a guy that in year one he’s already at 12.3 points a game and he’s only playing 18.7 minutes per game you’ll notice that uh he only started in two he did play in 47 uh but guys this is a guy that has huge huge upside and I would love to have this guy over here I mean he’s already getting about almost about four rebounds a game I think that his assist steals uh can definitely come up I think as he starts to play a little bit more so anyhow guys what do you guys think here should the Chicago Bulls stay at 11 do you feel like you know hey we’re going to be better sered staying at 11 that’s where we’re going to start to get some good value and we don’t have to give up an asset in Alex kuso would you like to at least see us run it back with him at least for another year uh before we decide to make some decisions on Alex Caruso uh and then next do you guys feel like we should make the deal with the Houston Rockets do you believe that uh hey we should go ahead and trade up and get the third pick you feel like whoever’s at three is going to be a guy that can maybe change the course of the franchise and I that’s that’s just wild saying that but let me know in the comments what you guys think and do you feel like you know a guy like cam Whitmore is a guy that absolutely must come over in this deal let me know in the comments what you guys think and as usual even though we don’t know what we’re going to do and there’s a rumor now that we’re looking to trade our best defender for the third pick in this year’s NBA draft which is quite weak I’m still saying go Bulls go Bulls guys I’ll see you guys on the next one peace peace

  1. I don't see the Bulls making a draft night move. They are in win now mode. I only see them making trades to get rid of Lavine/DeRozan/Vuc/AC for future assets and/or players who can help them compete now. I hope by now they have discovered they need to pick a route. You have to either blow it up and tank, or build the best roster you can to win now. Being a mid team fighting for the play-in is the worst spot to be in.

I surprisingly believe they will try to reset the clock. I think they flip all of those guys for a bunch of expiring salaries and a good amount of picks. Be bad for a year or 2 with a clean salary cap and further develop Coby/Ayo/Terry/Phillips/Paw/11th pick. You're not going to compete with BOS, MIL, NYK, PHI, MIA, IND, and probably won't leap over ORL/CLE unless the Cavs trade Mitchell. At best you are looking at a 7 or 8 seed. Time for the youth movement and actually developing talent.

  2. We love you AC …. But for the #3 and Cam from Houston? Do it already!! Let Alex go play for a rising team he can really help out.
