@Minnesota Timberwolves

[Sidery] Tim Connelly is expected to stay with the Timberwolves long-term on a restructured contract, per @ShamsCharania on @RunItBackFDTV. Connelly could make upwards of $15 million per year in Minnesota moving forward as the architect of their roster.

    Thats a hefty raise…I like that…wolves are about getting serious and hanging with the big bois from now on…

    New building next…

    Make this franchise great!

  2. Love it, but he’s gotta find some flexibility somewhere which is going to require some major creativity

    GM openings are so rare that just straight up leaving never makes sense. a GM is never fired after one or two years like a coach. thats why getting him was so unique and good

    Won’t someone think of the billionaire owners’ wallets?! We can’t afford to keep this team together. 🙄

    He’s gonna be making his money the next few years that’s for sure. Big decisions looming, and I’m super relieved/excited that he’s the one making them

    Anyone actually see the video floating around? I mean if it happened on video is should be somewhere right? I don’t follow Sidery so I have no idea how reputable he is especially “reporting” on someone else’s speculation.

  11. Justin Jefferson and now Tim Connelly. Two huge sighs of relief in the same day.

    One potential benefit — if he’s getting a long-term deal, he’s likely to take a long-term view.

    This team is headed for some pretty difficult decisions over the next 13 months as they try to build around their 22 year old superstar — and having someone fixated on the short-term is a way to royally fuck it up.
