[Grant Afseth] Kyrie Irving admitted he “lost his shit a little bit” interacting with fans at TD Garden in his last playoff matchup against the Boston Celtics with the Brooklyn Nets. He feels he’s grown since then and can handle it.

Fair enough
This was actually a really good pre finals interview
[he flipped the double birds lmao](https://imagez.tmz.com/image/56/1by1/2022/04/18/562624b2d6a445afb2014ffb91a57baa_xl.jpg)
Somebody yelled “the Earth is the same shape as that thing you’re dribbling!” and he folded
Absolutely hated this man when he was a Celtics with that post game saying he’d shoot more after a terrible night. I’m happy ge has matured and grown since then. That being said if we lose, I’m not mad it’s to Luka,Irving and the Mavs
Sure pal. Still a scumbag for his antics in Brooklyn. Can’t stand everyone online praising him like he’s a reformed criminal
Boston fans rubbing their hands and salivating.
Celtics fans would dislike him less if he didn’t quit on the team in the bucks series. The vast majority of people understand why Vince Carter was disliked in Toronto and Rondo in Dallas but somehow Celtics fans were terrible for disliking Kyrie.
I used to be the biggest Kyrie hater there was, but he’s really proved himself this past year. I don’t think it’s ever going to be a problem again. He’s got his shit together…finally. He’s in a good place with teammates that love him and a coach that knows how to use him and a friend in Luka to take some of the pressure off. This is where he belongs, and it shows.
Kyrie is Dirk. 🤭
He needs to completely destroy Lucky this time. No. Mercy.
Quick, get someone with COVID to cough on him! You know he’s susceptible!
I hate Kyrie but this was a good interview.
Don’t threaten me with a good time
My question is will Celtics fans start to forgive Kyrie if he starts making out with Lucky right on center court?
It’s been like 5-6 years since the whole ordeal so I don’t get people still being seething mad about Kyrie atp. I understand him wanting to be closer to home after losing his grandfather earlier in the season and not knowing how to process that while being in the spotlight.
That said, obviously I’m gonna boo him in the finals tho, cuz he’s on the opposing team. Ima boo everyone on the Mavs.
I really hope both sides can learn from this. Like Kyrie doesn’t have to like Boston and Boston doesn’t have to like him but at this point it just feels so drawn out. I really hope as long as Kyrie stays mature that Boston fans don’t go past booing him and maybe a Kyrie sucks chant or two. Just no reason to get vulgar and remain pissed off that your franchise player left 5 years ago when you’ve made 4 conference finals and 2 NBA finals in the 5 years since he’s bolted. Plus he’s not even on the same team any more and to Kyries credit he’s been on his best behavior for the last calendar year since probably his pre-Lebron Cavs days
I have a theory him “sageing” our court actually got rid of bad juju for us and is going to win us a Title
We don’t hate him because he left (at least not primarily). We hate him because he was a trash teammate and member of the Celtics – he absolutely quit during the Bucks series, he was openly recruiting to Brooklyn while a member of the Celtics (after his “if you’ll have me” BS), etc etc. It was all slap in the face type stuff. His misdeeds were already cast before his heel turn with stomping Lucky, saging TD garden, etc. Those just reinforced that he was a huge douche lord with very little self-awareness.
The Celtics were better when he was gone. But these vague mea culpas are the best you’re ever going to get from him. I personally am over it, people grow up and whatnot, but the things the media is holding against him “he left and angered Boston fans” or that he flipped us off isn’t really it.
On the plus side he has a psycho next to him who feeds off negative crowd energy so I think it could get interesting
The man is 32 years old and you really gotta people posting comments as if Kyrie is some reformed adolescent, saying he’s “matured” 🤣
I can’t believe people are still dumb enough to believe a word that comes out of that dudes mouth.
He’s definitely popping off if the Mavs wins lol
Go Mavs
Over and under 1″lost his his shit a little bit “. I say game 1 , 1st quarter…he’s gonna lose it . Great talent but he can’t handle even the slightest criticism
The growth of Kyrie these past couple years is insane. Has literally caused no drama all year.
Uh oh.. money on the mavs
