Assuming Lauri is not extending in Utah and wants to be traded, the Utah Jazz should focus on trades that are prospect heavy — or picks that are far enough out to give plenty of time for things to develop.

No trade packages for 2024, 2025, 2027 or even 2029 and salary filler please.

I am not looking forward to the sudden influx of “Lauri Markkanen is the final piece that will turn us into a contender: here is why you should accept a second round pick and salary dumps for him!” posts this off-season

Lol, Heat sub thinks Ainge would take Herro, when we already have Keyonte. To be fair he wouldn’t be taking minutes from Keyonte, or Brice, because Herro is injury prone, which is another reason we shouldn’t trade for Herro. Apparently Danny Ainge wants a prospect for Lauri, and the Lakers sub knows that based on comments, yet a lot of Laker fans think Reaves would do, when Lauri is a year older than him, and we already have Keyonte, and Brice. If Ainge can’t get a JDub, Benedict, or Jabrari Smith, then it just makes sense to extend Lauri with a contract extension next month. Lauri has stated he’s willing to stay, and he probably wants to sign a max contract extension as soon as he is able to. Jazz never get all stars, so I’d rather the Jazz pay Lauri 35 – 40 million a year, than having Reaves, or Herro

I mean yeah who wouldn’t want Lauri on their team? He’s like the best second option in the league

Of course they’re interested. But only the Knicks have the assets Ainge would require.
