Inside LA Clipper’s $2B New Arena: Dream or Reality?

Inside LA Clipper’s $2B New Arena: Dream or Reality?

are the Clippers finally Breaking Free from the Lakers Shadow they’ve shared the same venue since 1999 but now it seems the Clippers are ready to move into their own home the brand new $2 billion in Dome this 18,000 seat Arena boasting three times the NBA’s average number of toilets in uranos is set to be 100% carbon free a dream that is quickly becoming a reality but how will they manage the $2 billion price tag so let’s dive in this is a sports arena which is being constructed in the heart of La a city which is a Haven for basketball fans and I mean it two of the biggest teams in the NBA are based in this city and their rivalry runs deep the construction of the Intuit Dome is undeniably costly in fact it ranks among the most expensive construction projects ever undertaken aren’t the Clippers lucky that their owner is a billionaire who doesn’t shy away from being extravagant well we all know Steve Balmer the ex CEO of Microsoft to have a personality and the way he’s throwing money at this project is just amazing to witness but here’s the question why does this Stadium cost so much I mean two billion for an 18,000 seat Stadium let me break it down and show you exactly where where all that money is going when we talk about Stadium designs the first thing that strikes our minds is the exterior as far as the exterior of the Intuit Dome is concerned it’s like a shell made from diamond shaped panels placed on a steel frame in a crisscross pattern looking at from afar it’s just breathtaking isn’t it what about its interior and the amenities it offers the interior is as impressive as its exterior I’m serious this Stadium doesn’t just have one two or three but five fullsize courts in total that’s something no other NBA venue can match now you’d imagine this venue to be a place where intense basketball games are played right but it has more to offer for example it features a plaza with a large LED screen that stretches around the stadium it also features shops and restaurants inside and it even has has a 150 room hotel and a concert stage inside I mean talk about a multi-purpose stadium in a city as big as La the stadium also provides parking for 4,125 vehicles get this it has three times the NBA’s average number of toilets and urinal with a total of 1,160 not too shabby and there’s something Innovative going on with the construction itself the arena is set to feature an intimate live event experience known as the wall this is a special seating section designed to scare the opposing team it will have 51 rows of seats placed right next to the visitor’s bench the wall is going to make the atmosphere at game time intense for real you might think that fans in the nosebleed seats won’t have much of a view but think again this stadium has the large double-sided video board ever seen in an arena and it’s called the Halo board it’s massive stretching for almost a full acre and packed with over 200 million LEDs this high-tech Marvel ensures that everyone even those up in the rafters get a great view of the action what’s really impressive about this arena is that it’s going to be 100% carbon free from day one producing zero waste low water strategy will save 7.5 million gallons every year and the arena is fully electric on the roof there are almost 300 solar panels feeding into an on-site battery system in Sunny La this generates and stores a ton of energy allowing the stadium to operate off the grid for over 6 hours more than enough for an entire NBA Finals game The Roof is also covered in panels that block out the sun’s Heat heat while letting in natural daylight reducing energy consumption the int it dome also has a comprehensive waste Reduction Program that eliminates landfill waste in a first for a large scale venue the stadium is committed to monitoring annual greenhouse gas emissions and transportation impacts I seriously think that this isn’t just a GameChanger for sports but for sustainability too the in Dome offers a plethora of facilities making it truly multi-purpose stakeholders are confident it will attract a new stream of Revenue once it’s completed but the big question remains how are they managing the price tag where is all that cash coming from Balmer is the 10th richest person in the world and he does not shy away from showing off his wealth and well why should he so you’d think he could fund it all single-handedly right well you are spoton seriously let’s break this down it took Balmer $60 million to acquire the land and $400 million to buy another venue nearby own by some other NBA team and the rest of the $2 billion is being spent to make this project a reality and I feel like this is money well spent I mean look at the new opportunities for example the naming rights of the in it dome cost a whopping $500 million for a company called into it and that’s just the tip of the iceberg concerts have already been booked by the likes of Weezer Usher and Billy Joel and as time goes on we’ll see even more of these types of events coming the dome’s way and here’s another major update the in Dome is now set to host the 2026 NBA Allstar game and basketball events at the 2028 Olympics LA’s newest arena is already racking up points before it’s even completed the summer of 2024 is going to be memorable for LA Clippers fans they will have a stadium of their own and one that’s surely going to separate them from their Arch Rivals the Lakers here’s a question for you which stadium do you think is the best crypto.com arena or the Intuit Dome share your opinions in the comments section down below that’s all for the video guys and if you enjoyed it and want to see more of these expensive projects why not hit the Subscribe button thanks for watching
