Chicago Bulls PERFECT Offseason Ft. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan & Nikola Vucevic
what’s going on everybody welcome into the bowls report coming up on today’s show I wanted to go over what my perfect offseason would look like for Chicago but before we dive into that guys we’re actually in a sub battle this month with our Celtics today Channel and it’s tied up right now at 33 Subs a piece but obviously with the Celtics in the NBA Finals the you know the momentum is going to be heading their way so I kind of want to get a head start and take the lead this month in our June sub battle so if you guys could hit that subscribe button give us the lead here at the Bulls report I would really really appreciate it and plus hey we’ll keep you guys up to date with the latest around your favorite basketball team but let’s dive into Today’s Show so I want to make this point uh before we dive into my five-step plan on what a perfect off season would look like in my opinion just straight up a perfect off season for the Bulls is not running it back is not bringing back the same five you have brought back for the past four seasons and just get out of this NBA Purgatory where you’re not good enough to get a top five pick in the draft but or you’re not bad enough to get a top five pick in the draft but you’re also not good enough to compete four Championship so just want to make that point clear the perfect off season for the Bulls is them not running it back but how do you do that how do you not run it back number one you trade Nola vuvi and you know if I had to pick one move like where it’s like I had a genie and a bottle and I had one wish this would be it no doubt about it and I would pretty much give up vo you know for pennies at this point but I actually do have a trade idea which has an absolute Legend my favorite basketball player of all time the guy that made me fall in love with the game drick Rose and the Bulls will be receiving D Rose Luke Canard and a 227 first round pick would be Lottery protected from the Memphis Grizzlies but you know I think they’re going to be a pretty good basketball team for years to come so I would assume that would uh convey but you know with where you know the Grizzlies are at right now I actually think they’re one of the few teams in the league that could be interested in Vu since they do have such a defensive minded Center or power forward in jiren Jackson Jr like maybe they’re thinking like you know they could compliment uh each other’s games very very well and you know you can make an argument hey you’re getting a guy that will average 17 and 10 no doubt about it for the next couple of Seasons but you got see these stats on screen you know averaging 18 and 11 averaging 17 A2 and 11 17 A2 and 11 again and then all the way dating back to 2020 when Vu was one of the best centers in the league averaging 23 and a half points and 11.7 rebounds but I still say this you move off Vu at any cost he can average 20 and 10 but with how poor he is defensively and just how unself aware he is is on the basketball court he is overall a net negative no matter you know any way you try to paint this picture I think Nicole abovich is one of the most overrated one of the most stat padding players we have seen in NBA history he does not contribute to winning by any means and I have said this countless times here on the channel I would rather have a center who is more defensive minded and has more of a you know lob threat ability in comparison to VU where yes he got a whole lot better in that pick and roll when he was playing a little four on three when they would double uh double the ball handler he made that leap in his game this past season but he still takes too many threes just isn’t you know the same guy getting to the rim and he just plays you know old school basketball and with where the NBA is going with the up and down Pace that a lot of these teams are playing Nicole vuvi has really turned himself you know and maybe it’s not entirely his fault but in my opinion into one of the more unplayable centers we have in the NBA but number two for me trading Zack ofine um you know number one priority that’s uh maybe not too realistic would be trading Nicole bovich but the number one priority that is realistic is moving off Zack aen and also number three for me in my perfect off season you would be trading up for Donovan Clingan well how could you knock both those out at once how could you trade Zack LaVine and then also move up in the draft and get the Yukon Huskies Center well the Detroit Pistons have been reported to be interested in Zack aine dating back the last NBA trade deadline and this is the trade idea I cooked up it would be the bows receiving the number five pick in this year’s upcoming draft that they could potentially get Donovan Clingan and then they would be also receiving Evan for and isaia Stewart to help match salaries but the Bulls would be giving up the number 11 pick and Zack aen in this deal and if you look at Zack aine’s contract if the Bulls could move off this this would be a pop a bottle of champagne type move for Chicago because if you could get this $ 45.9 million C pit off your books for 2025 and get the 48.9 million C pit in 2026 off your books it would be an absolutely great move and you know I constantly say it like I look back at that Kings um when the Kings offered Zack ofine the Max and the Bulls matched it like if I could just go back in time and just shake the Bulls front office and just say please do not do it man I really do wish I could but the Bulls will be getting Isaiah Stewart in this trade and you know kind of like I was saying about having a more defensive minded a more you know Rim pressure oriented Center on this basketball team I think it could help you know so so much and you know Isaiah Stewart is just that he’s not a needle mover he’s not going to you know change life here in Chicago but much you know rather prefer his fit in comparison to Nicole vuvi but this is all about Donovan kinging that’s why I love this trade so much in the recent mock draft that the ringer put out um in the first one they had him going to pick 11 to the Portland Trailblazers but in this recent one they did have him going number three to the Houston Rockets So it be a little risky um for the Bulls if they do trade up to five with clinging in mind they may not be able to get him but he reminds me of Walker Kessler and you know we saw Walker Kessler fall in the draft uh two pick 20s around there and um you know I just don’t think the NBA is going to make that same mistake I think cing and especially with this draft class not being as good as the past years like he will go in the top seven no doubt about and I think he’s more likely to go in the top three than you know at around pick seven but I said strength for him into to your defense one of the best Rim protectors in college basketball last season but a weakness I have for him not really too versatile but again think the Bulls wouldn’t be asking him to do too too much but looking at his stats from this past season he was fantastic for the Yukon Huskies back-to-back National Champion was really that backbone on this team this past season and you know it only played 22 and A2 minutes per game but was still very very effective you know 13 points T night 7.4 rebounds 2 and2 blocks and being very efficient from the field as well and I saw this stat thrown out there just talking about the impact that clinging has defensively so team shoot 41.7% on twos and 38.7% overall when cling in plays however when he’s out those num Skyrocket they shoot 45 and a half% from two and almost 41% overall from the field and if you’re telling me the Bulls could have a young core of Kobe white IO dumo Patrick Williams and Donovan kingan You’ have a young player you could build around at each and every position and I would just love to see you know the Bulls defensively how they would look with pdub with IOD dumo with kinging even if the they do keep a guy like Caruso I think they could really have an identity on the defensive side of floor and that’s why I’m absolutely all in on the bows going all up or going all in on a guy like Donovan Quan they need a Young Piece they need a young Center they need a defensive minded guy at that Center Spot Donovan Clan checks all those boxes so yes maybe it would be an overpay to move up six box uh in the draft giv up a guy like Zack aine but hey you get a move off aine and you give your chance to get one of the best young uh centers potentially in the NBA but I got two more uh plans or moves on my perfect offseason that I’ll tell you guys about in just a second but first off I do want to tell you guys about today’s presenting sponsor and that is prize picks if you guys had the prize picks.com /ns and use promo code clns when you’re making your first deposit we will match it up to $100 that is promo code clns for a first deposit match up to $100 and with prize picks you can turn $10 into 1,000 in a single game watching your favorite sports this summer you can make a prize pick lineup in as little as 60 seconds you just need to pick more or less on two to six player stat projections and you’re locked in this is example of a lineup I’m ruling with for for game one of the NBA Finals getting underway this Thursday they got a deal right now where Jason Tatum’s point total is set at a half a point so I’m going to take advantage of that and take the more then I think Luca is going to come in the TD uh Garden guns of Blazing so I’m going to take the more on his points at 31 A2 then I’m going to ride the hot hand of Derek Lively as well and I’m going to take the mo on 16 a half points rebounds and assists for the young Maverick Center but if you guys want to fade my picks ride with my picks we just ask you guys to do so at priz picks it’s daily fantasy sports Made Easy pick more pick less it’s prize picks the number one daily fantasy sports app in the game and even when the finals are over the Hoops action doesn’t stop on prize picks women’s basketball is just getting started and with young stars like Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese of our very own Chicago sky looking to make names for themselves alongside great like Brianna Stewart and Asia Wilson you can win up to 100 times your money watching them fall out this summer so check them out link for that will be in the comment section and description of today’s show it’s prix.com and use that promo code CNS when you’re making your first deposit and we’ll match it up to $100 number four for me and this one hurts um it is letting Demar D rozan walk in free agency and you know this has nothing to do with what D rozan has done for the Bulls over the past couple of Seasons because he’s been by far you know great and I think he’s been a direct correlation into the guys like Kobe white I dumo them developing their game I think having the veteran presence of a Demar D rozan helps them immensely and honestly I think D rozen’s done more than members of The Bu coaching staff in terms of developing these young players but I mean look at these numbers they are fantastic and I think dear has turned himself you know into honestly one of the more underrated players in the game I think his playmaking ability has gone underrated and undervalued people don’t really view him as such they just view him as a mid-range assassin that can close out games but he’s got playmaking ability but you know my take on dear is you know he’s been great for the Bulls but it is just time to move on it is time to kind of rip that bandaid off and just get out of this mediocrity that the Bulls have been stated at for the last couple of seasons and you know we saw the impact that when Zack LaVine was out of the lineup last season Kobe white a dumo they got more shots and they’re games developed I could see the same thing happening for a guy like Patrick Williams for even maybe a guy like d Terry Julian Phillips but if you have D rozan in the lineup he’ll just naturally command a lot of you know shots or shot attempts and just a lot of usage rate that could hinder the development of those two other guys so this is not you know personal with DeMar rosen where I’m saying like oh dear’s been bad with the bulls we got to get him off this team no it’s more of I’m looking at the future for Chicago and I’m looking at these young guys you know developing and I just think you know if dear rosen’s on this team it could really you know put a uh brick in the road in terms of you know just hindering these guys’ development but number five for me and this is controversial no doubt about it but it is resigning Patrick Williams and I will stay in this Camp I am still a Patrick Williams believer for a plethora of reasons and I think he has been you know honestly I think if you’re another team and you’re looking at a guy to sign this offseason you’re looking at a three and D Wing I bet you Patrick Williams is at a lot or at the top of a lot of teams list because you know 10 points per game over the last couple of years shooting 40 plus% from downtown and we said that is probably his biggest weakness coming out of college was his three-point shooting ability well he’s changed that and I think it speaks to the work ethic he has developed throughout his NBA career and just some Advanced stats for peteb over this past season points per postup uh he wasn’t too uh good in terms of that he was at .93 points per postup possession or points per spot up possession but that was still in the 29 05th percentile points per pick and roll when he was ball handle actually around uh the middle of the pack at that at 85 points per cut at 1.15 did struggle at that this past season as he was only in the 20th percentile but I got four reasons why I would keep him man I mean the dude’s still 22 years old and I thought me and Patrick Williams as I’m 24 I thought we were the same age no I got two years on this guy and he has been in the NBA for Four Seasons so there is still a ton of room for de development and you know as he just sees sees more looks he sees more defensive coverages he sees more players like he was just continuously getting better and you know his archetype is a winning archetype look at jayen McDaniels look at PJ Washington look at these big wings that can guard multiple positions and also knock down the three-point ball in the flow of the offense like every great team has players like that and I just think he needs a chance to develop and you know it kind of speaks to you know why I would let DeMar rosen go is because of a guy like Patrick orans where I would want him at that Wing Spot being the guy that’s getting majority of the shots and we’ve already seen his work ethic pay off with the three-point shooting he was a terrible three-point shooter in college but what did he do he worked at it he grinded at it he changed that little hitch he had in his jump shot where it’s now incredibly smooth and we’ve actually seen him develop a pretty nice one dribble pullup you know game so I would keep Patrick Williams no doubt about it but you guys let me know are you a Patrick Williams believer give me a y for yes or an N for no down in the comment section really curious to see what you guys have to say but as always guys make sure you are subscribed here to the channel hopefully the Bulls have a fun offseason you know I’m really crossing my fingers here and you know they actually do something because if there was any team in all major sports that probably has made the least amount of moves over the past couple of years it is no doubt the Chicago Bulls I mean they haven’t made a freaking player trade since I think it was 2021 that’s almost three seasons and three off Seasons uh down the drain and they have still not made a player trade but make sure you guys are subscribed if we get any more updates around your favorite basketball team we’ll have a video for you guys ASAP see you guys next time as always go bows [Music]

Yes, playing at the 3 more often
Bull can’t give up any picks
Y
I'll trade Lavine for #2 pick or kuzma.
I'll trade Paw for #3 pick
I'll trade Coby for #4 pick or #5 pick
I'll trade Vuc for any multiple picks. It's totally reset 😁
Sign and trade Derozan for Rui and wood
I like the Pistons trade for Zach on draft night.
We're several moves away from competting, so #1 should be to trade LaVine, #2 a center (and if the ZL trade suggested here will be perfect) still not ready to move off Vuv: yet, #3 a forward a safety net if Pat still isn't ready to make the next step (everyone develops at different rates maybe either Terry/Philips can step up) or a DeRozan replacement – a 28 yr old vet will be great, if not Vuc to Forward unless there's a good offer. Lastly OB could be the answer at the forward postion #4 I would cheer a move up under these conditions #5 I see how some feel, DeRozans contract is up so if walks I understand, use his money to acquire a younger vet, if not then keep developing players, build a core and if a superstar presents itself be ready to pounce and have that last piece of the puzzle – I don't envy an NBA GM, moves that were great at the time had the worst injury possible to Ball, another what-if a starting line up as Ball White Caruso Williams and Vuc – then Ayo OB and Terry off the bench – lets see the front office make a move.
I'm still in the camp of a better coach, even a 20% improvement would've been a better Vuc and playoffs instead of play-in and that's my unsolicted thought on this matter
