forget all the drama that happened in Brooklyn even before that people had given up on Kyrie the New York Post confirm Brooklyn might have qualms about signing the enigmatic Irving if he isn’t injured Kyrie that summer he told a group of fans he wanted to resign but Kyrie was struggling as a leader he was critical of young teammates in the media the young guys don’t know what it takes to be water bottles so he flipped them off after Big Shots even burning sage couldn’t kill the bad juju which is weird cuz it works for me every time Kai’s reputation got so bad you could say anything about him in the media but I think he’s immature selfish he comes off as a damn snob as a basketball player he’s a narcissist I can’t believe that we ain’t talking about batt we’re talking about this idiot now I looked up what I said at the time and it’s not much better than that but I honestly believe he deserved criticism for some of his actions dude took a week off of games to go to his sister’s birthday really but the move to Dallas changed everything I mean now Stephen A has officially apologize to Kyrie and he’s back on top without LeBron so what happened why is Kai suddenly a model person and player well to be clear he has always been a really good dude this is a list of the things he’s done that get zero publicity my goodness pause and read this stuff there ain’t another NBA player who has helped this many people I actually stopped 3 and 1 half years back because it was too much to put on one graphic donated one and a half million bucks to cover WNBA salaries in the pandemic dude’s a saint and that’s partly why there’s such a divide between the media perception and fan perception of Kyrie the media hates his scandals fans know that he’s a good dude with insane skills so finally he has put it all back together after 7 years but how I mean they missed the playing last year Well it turned out Dallas got him at the perfect time nobody was going to sign Kyrie to a big contract W said there was little to no interest in free agency so Kyrie had to bring his best self on and off the Court Dallas resigned him then really got to work they tanked on the final day last season to keep their draft pick which angered Luca but set up what they’re doing now Dallas picked Derek Lively on draft night who has been a amazing as a rookie then sign and trade for Grant Williams who was a horrible fit but instead of being stubborn Dallas immediately admitted their mistake and flipped him plus Seth Curry in a first round pick for PJ Washington in two seconds then they got Daniel Gafford for a pick and ran Holmes they also made the smartest signing of the off season Derek Jones Jr on a vets minimum who’s been a starter for them in the playoffs all those moves gave them the talent and chemistry to make the finals but what about off the court why is Kyrie caused zero issues well there are two unique things to the Mavericks the first is his coach Kai’s childhood hero was Jason kid he studied his game front to back growing up and is one of the few guys he respects as a leader and and as a basketball mind the other part goes back to Boston Kai admits a lot of the battles I thought I could get through in that Boston team environment I wasn’t ready for I failed those guys I didn’t give them everything I could have during the season in terms of being a leader and bringing everyone together I failed he actually told LeBron James he didn’t appreciate how tough it was to have all that pressure on his shoulders now with Luca even though he is 7 years younger k doesn’t care it’s not all about him proving he can be a leader he is past that Kyrie needed the failure in Boston and Brooklyn to get back to basketball so he can let Dallas be Luca’s team and just ball and let’s be honest Kyrie doesn’t have to run the offense he doesn’t have to defend the other team’s best player he can just come in and pick his spots it’s the perfect setup for him also helps that Luca is basically the European LeBron James as a player but Kai’s maturity makes it work but we have to dissect the stupidest Kyrie take in the media right now dude on Fox Sports actually said this if Kai wins with Luca I think if Kyrie Irving can win another title I think he could become the greatest Robin of all time right now I believe that Scotty Pippen is obviously the greatest Robin of all time but you think he pass Pippen if he wins I think you could argue okay he goes on to say that Kyrie wins with two different alltime greats and he had big moments himself no you cannot compare Scotty Pippen six chips to Kyrie’s to also what about Kobe as a robin to Shack and a three beat before Kobe became a number one obviously Kyrie winning will be an amazing story but the hot takes that are already coming out of this are actually insane but things are not looking good for Carl Anthony towns there are rumors that the Wolves could trade him a lot of fans don’t understand why
