  1. Good for him. It only took him burning every bridge in Brooklyn to get there but good for him regardless

  2. Wonderful-Front1289

Just wait until he starts to get bored again and things will go sideways real quick

  3. johnjohnjohn93

Did you forget everything he did while he was on our team?

  4. Yea it stings to think about who is in the finals but obviously it’ll be ok, we have great roll players, we just need another star to go with cam Thomas

Happy for him – but he deserves full accountability for his part in the wreckage of the Nets…he wasn’t in a good place here and I’d rather have that type of baggage off the team. In real life, I can’t fault a man for sticking to his principles for his own health and his family’s health in times of uncertainty – although that cost the team everything, he was never truly a Net.

He seems to really be a Maverick, though.
To answer your question – of course we’ll be alright. I’m rooting for Jason Kidd, Jared Dudley, and Luka.

Some people have to hit rock bottom before they mature and grow. His tenure in Brooklyn was the epitome of rock bottom.

  7. MTing1315

its time to move on man.

at the end of the day i’d still rather the Mavs win to see Luka get his first ring over the Celtics.

Why would I not be alright?

Why would fans of the Cavaliers not be alright?

Why would fans of the Celtics not be alright?

History has repeated itself over and over with Kyrie. He’s always happy his first full season on a new team.

His “quirks” come out the second full season with the new team.

He goes full Kanye by the third full season with the new team.

    Sit back and watch.

  9. QuickRub7200

maybe if the organization treated him like a human he would have stayed

  10. It’s too early to say whether he is quiet because he has matured or he has a chance at a ring, but good for him….

  11. jakefromthehood777

I wish he straightened up when he was with Brooklyn man…

  12. lightyourfire

Funny thing if you want a guy to play for your team you have to pay him

  13. BigBlue1210

Kyrie caused alot of the problems in Brooklyn. He doesn’t have to deal with the NY media. He lost won and trying to get that back. It’s whatever at this case. Bad luck.

  14. LittIeTownBlues

It’s all sunk costs I really can’t let myself dwell on any of it

  15. Breaking news: players can be toxic on one team and problem free in another

  16. hoodlum-pandas

i was a kyrie fan before the nets, a mega fan during the nets and still a fan after his time with the nets. it’s sad things didn’t work out but i’m glad to see him killing it with another ring on the way.

Why are some of you people so obsessed with this man? He’s gone, get over it. People are looking at him through rose colored glasses because he’s been playing well and is on his best behavior and completely forgetting all the shit he did here, only small things such as refusing to get vaccinated and thus not being able to play at home for almost an entire season or posting links to books that praise Hitler.

Boo hoo, Joe Tsai didn’t want to resign this fucker who tore apart our entire team and so now he’s your scapegoat because we’re shit, when so many people at the time wanted to just move on from him. It’s revisionist history and it’s dumb as shit.

  18. lemonyprepper

He was the chosen one. The quintessential Essex county kid who went to play for our home team

  19. Dude is an American Hero. Stood up to a firestorm of lies.

  20. Serenadingthrough

Cuban hired Kyrie his own personal chef during Ramadan. Why wouldn’t he feel this way?

  21. Whatever. He self sabotaged every other portion of his career. This says more about him than anything else.

  22. ManWithoutFear123

I’ve always liked him as a player, I thought with the talent we had that he would thrive in Brooklyn, but he had his beliefs and we as fans and media can be harsh. I’m happy he is doing well in Dallas and hope he wins, but I’m sad it didn’t work out.

  23. I’m happy for the dude… and I hate Boston, so let’s go!

  24. I’m good. I’m happy he’s happy, and I don’t want him back.
