[Charania] The Chicago Bulls plan to hire Billy Donovan III – son of Billy Donovan – as head coach of their NBA G League Windy City Bulls team, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Donovan III served as an assistant coach for San Antonio’s Austin Spurs affiliate in 2017.

Not gonna say if Donovan III deserves the job or how nepotism plays into his hiring (I’m sure it helped a lot), but I googled him and he has been working for the Bulls since 2020 as Video Coordinator and was at some point Assistant Coach for the G League team.
The tweet makes it seem like he was an assistant coach for the Spurs 7 years ago, disappeared from basketball, and is getting the G League coaching job right away.
