you know so were you were you buying into the Anthony Edwards Michael Jordan comparisons or at least uh there’s similarities in their games I think the the explosiveness is pretty much the similarity um I think Anthony Edwards hasn’t learned the the mid-range like MJ you know everybody wants to talk about shooting threes MJ averaged 30 points not a no not shooting threes you average 40 I think one time in the finals and didn’t shoot threes so I think people get so caught up in shooting threes and I think Anthony Edwards you know when you watched him play against Denver Nuggets he did everything but against Dallas he settled for threes I don’t know it’s because of the length that the Dallas Mavericks had but I I I don’t I see the explosion there but before as one of comparing the two he’s Anthony a that’s MJ well the only guy who’s close is Kobe he was the only guy that was close right yeah by far you know and that’s and I always I get amazed that nobody ever talks about Kobe being the goat when he copied MJ to a t you know what I mean and for me to sit back and say you know Anthony he’s still young he’s wa wait would you take Kobe over Mike you know what I play with Kobe so I know Kobe I don’t know Mike I just met Mike you know cross I’ll Take Kobe cuz I won three championships with with Kobe I have to take Kobe well you don’t want to get get mup set well he he he didn’t put me on the MJ brand so if he get upset so be it but did you ever find yourself guarding him I have a picture um in my in my room where um I got my my my jersey hung up when he blowing by me but then I got a picture next to it where I’m blocking his shot so yeah I have MJ in my Memorial room over there now you you didn’t you wouldn’t ask him to sign that would you which one Blow by or block well probably the blow body the blow body you could probably get him to sign the block shot probably not let me just say this I got seven Champs he got six he better sign it I as him sign both uh everybody has an opinion on Caitlyn Clark what happened in the game against Chicago your thoughts on uh the play or I guess the commentary afterwards well you know it’s it’s weird I I I look at the you know the play before that where he she’s talking trash and there’s certain players you don’t talk trash I remember talking trash to Charles Barkley and Oakland and them both you know making me pay on the other end so you got to you gotta understand if you’re a rookie it’s best sometimes to be silent it’s it’s basketball I think every rookie has been tested no matter is in football basketball baseball you’re going to get tested like that and people know that the spotlight is on Kon Clark so everything is going to get you know blown up a little bit more than it should be so it’s just basketball at the end of the day and every rookie is going to get tested nobody’s complaining about angel ree getting hip checked and thrown to the ground so I don’t it’s just basketball did you guys treat Iverson that way when he came in as a rookie we treated everybody that way you know and it don’t matter who you are you know you think about when big dog came to the league he changed the league as far as that contract he got when he was you know in Milwaukee think about his contract was more worth more than what the Milwaukee Bucks worth we didn’t yeah you you if he comes to the Lane you make him punish and I think every guy does that to see if you’re battle tested see if you’re going to fold like a cheap ttin or you going to rise to the occasion so I think it’s not one person in the league that never got tested God Glenn Robinson haven’t mentioned that name in a long time he got paid he was the F he was the first guy who really got paid I think yes yes unless you go way back to I think it team um you know I’m have to make someone else beat me you know I’m a huge PJ Washington fan and I know sometimes him and Derek on the outside Kyrie is not shooting Luke’s not shooting you have to take the chance of let somebody else score and you once those guys come off that double team you put someone in the middle to clog up the lob and you double team and get it out their hands and don’t leave Luca or or or KY who is not in the pick and roll how important is this NBA finals for the Celtics their legacy it’s huge it is huge because you think about all the money they about to give out you know you got holiday just got a new contract Brown got a new contract you know if porzingis can you know come back healthy and of course you know Tatum is up his contract’s up you think about he’s going to get paid more than Browns so they have to win it now to justify all the money they’re dishing out up there in Boston is it sustainable that everybody’s making 50 60 you’re gonna have Shay gilges Alexander final year of his deal he’s going to make 81 million yeah it’s it’s getting crazy and you know I’m happy for these guys to get their money but what I what I’m going to look back at is the fans are going to pay the price because ticket prices are going to go up you know and then concession stands are going to go up and it’s just going to get it’s just going to get priced out at a point but you know hopefully you know they can add a couple more teams and kind of make a little bit more money across the league but it’s it’s it’s going to get bananas here pretty soon and you think about you know all the guys that are up in age that are superstars that are up like Paul George and uh Lebron James they still GNA get paid too and then you got the Young Buck coming up they gonna get paid so it’s bananas out there where the money’s going wish I was still 20 years younger well what what would Jordan be worth uh a teen a billion dollars you can’t give him a billion a year though you just give him the team you know he said yo here’s your team construct the team however you want it and everything every money that comes in belongs to you all right I had James Worthy on yesterday and I said okay so the Lakers are going to keep their first round that could have gone to the Pelicans so that’s 17th overall correct yes and I said to James could you see where the Lakers are on the clock they’ve resigned LeBron and they decide to take bronny James with the 17th overall pick and he said he could see that happening what I I could too I I could too because if you look at this draft if I tell you to give me the top five picks you couldn’t do it you know you don’t know who’s going to be in the top pick and this draft and I hate to say it it’s kind of weak so why not take a chance on bronnie James because you everybody across the league right now each draft pick is going to be a project player because there’s not one cut guy that’s gonna say oh he’s a game changer like wiana he’s a game changer like Zion there are no game changers so why not take a chance and roll the dice because you know my son Christian who played at Harvard Westlake who went back-to-back winning Championship he played Brony and bronnie is talented as heck he got a lot of athletic skills but he’s still raw and think about can you can get him in the gym you play against these guys each and every day get a little stronger get a little more adapted to the NBA system you never know you might have a diamond in a rof yeah my I got a couple of concerns um I think he could have used another year of college I do too and but he’s only 61 and a half he’s not 63 that’s a concern um I don’t I don’t know if if he can play I haven’t seen enough when I watch us see I I just there were times he was on the floor and I didn’t notice him and that’s hard to do if you’re you know a quality player well you know I hate to say this there was times on the floorida Alabama I played with Latrell spr and James Robinson I was in notice because I didn’t get the ball but you know you think about who he play with ker he’s you know he’s probably gonna be a top 10 pick and sometimes you don’t notice guys because other guys are dominating the ball and for me okay I look at like so many guys across you know think about uh PJ Washington I know him on his PJ kick cuz I love the guy I love his game when he was in you know Charlotte you know he barely talked about him but now he in Dallas you can see what he can do defensively you can see he can get to the corner when you when you got a guy who can get him to rock so there’s a lot of guys that’s around this league like you’re like who who is that guy you know you know CJ McCullum like who is that guy all of a sudden he comes in any Bay he’s just killing it it’s a lot of guys like that you just got to give them a chance and the system might not be right for him in college and that’s fair see that’s fair you played with both so I’m GNA give you first pick you can have Elijah one or you can have Shaq uh can I pick the year of Shaq oh I’m taking if I can get MVP Shaq we that’s who I’m rolling with okay what was different about Shaq that that year I think you know a lot of us was kind of scared a feel you know this is a guy who just coached you know six championships with Scotty and and MJ we all came in that year in shape Shaq came in shape he was dominant from the jump and I think that was the unknown was the scary part who is this guy what’s the triangle all about you know how does he run his system you know being good friends with Ron Harper he kind of told me a little bit about like about PJ so you know we went on and did our thing up there so that Shaq was incredible you know the boards the MVP trophy the rebound BS you know so now don’t get me wrong if I’m going to go like if you give me a 10e span I’m take dream but if you give me like one season and I get MVP Shaq I had to go with the check all right Peak
