Do the Cleveland Cavaliers NEED to break up the “Core 4” to win a NBA Championship?

Do the Cleveland Cavaliers NEED to break up the “Core 4” to win a NBA Championship?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have pushed all their chips onto the table with its current Core 4 of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley & Jarrett Allen.

In two years since coming together, the Cavs have only won one playoff series and are now facing a crossroads: Is this Core 4 good enough to win a NBA Championship?

The Cavs coaching carousel is still in full swing, with six candidates already receiving interviews for the job. But at the moment, who is the front runner and who SHOULD be the front runner?

Plus, the NBA Draft is just 3 weeks away and who are the top prospects the Cavs should be targeting?

Mack Perry from the “It’s Cavalier Podcast” joins McNuggets to break all this down and more on the Ultimate Cavaliers Show.

  1. Trade Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade for Wiggins and Moody. Trade Darius Garland, Niang, Ty Jerome, 3second round picks for KAT. Sign Buddy Heild, Jonas V. Taurean Prince. Resign Marcus Morris Tristan Thompson and Isaac Okoro. Wiggins is 3 & D bring him back he needs a fresh start and a champion. We pick up great player on the bench in Moody. KAT is better than Allen, fits better with Mobley. Minnesota needs a point guard. Look at our StartingLineup: Wiggins, KAT, Mobley, Mitchell, Strus Bench: Heild, LeVert,Jonas V, Okoro, Moody, Morris, Merrill, Prince. Take Emoni and Craig Porter off two way and sign to minimums. Team can compete with anyone in the East. We have size shooting and defense.

  2. If we trade Allen for Wiggins are perimeter will always be knockdown on defense with Okoro coming off the bench. Best front court rotation in league with KAT and Mobley add in Jonas V and Marcus Morris. Best in league

  3. My boy Mack! Do not trade Allen… Stop trying to play copycat ball. Build a team off of your personnel's best attributes… STOP COPYING

  4. Garland for K Johnson, Collins, #8 and 2026 pick swap with ATL

Levert, Draft Pick #8 or #20 for Kuzma

Allen for a SF not named Ingram

  5. These guys are judging player's based off the results provided by a coach who was fired. What could they be with a better (more offensive) coach? You'll only know if you keep the team together…

  6. These guys will trade Allen while not having anyone to replace him, then they'll blame Koby for trading Allen when Mobley gets hurts and misses 25 games, again…

  7. Hell no. This may be as good as it gets. They have nowhere to go but DOWN. Wake up! This is the NBA and this is Cleveland. Feel fortunate that they made the playoffs.
