in 2012 2013 the Warriors finally got somewhere and gave us a hint of what lay ahead Steph was healthy and excellent clay stepped up as a viable second scorer and well Draymond wasn’t Draymond yet but he had arrived Golden State won 47 games and three of those wins came against the 56- win Clippers that wasn’t a random event the warriors were pretty open about the fact that they circled Clipper matchups on the schedule they even had the crowd do a playoff style white out when the Clippers visited town and yeah then they backed up their words and beat La in three out of four matchups That season Chris Paul was pissed pissed at his own team’s helplessness surely pissed at that kid from his summer camp outplaying him and pissed at how much the Warriors celebrated some regular season upsets here from that first matchup is Steph drawing a game clinching charge and the Warriors bench reacting like they’d all won the lottery

In some ways, CP3 made Steph Curry who he is. Who Steph Curry is made the Warriors what they became. And what the Warriors became is a thorn in CP3 and the Clippers’ metaphorical side.
