I just think if you’re a Knicks fan big picture of the way the East was set with all the injuries you mentioned earlier you’re probably not going to get a better chance with this unit unless you make a trade they have a lot of options and I really think they’re going to get Mel Bridges as the big Target I just you think the Nets would do that with New York I just don’t know why you want Mel Bridges if you’re going nowhere like that’s a guy who should be on a good team and on a team like that unless you feel like you can get Mitchell or Devin Booker you know which they’re not they’re not getting Devon Booker I if I were them I would trade bridg is for more than he’s worth and just start over with my Phoenix picks and whatever I got with the next thing but that’s that’s just me

idk if tsai would ever agree to that.. but if the knicks overpay and throw like 3-4 firsts and maybe even randle for contract filler and a young guy on paper it would be a perfect for the knicks.. when you have OG/Mitchell as your bigs someone who plays every game would be perfect wing/big insurance and he really is the perfect fit, Brunson Hart Bridges Anunoby is the most perfect Thibs/NY lineup and throw in divencenzo/robinson/hartenstein depending on the matchup is a closing lineup that could definitely contend in the East

I loved Bridges at college and with PHX, but he failed to be the 1st option for the rebuilding Brooklyn Nobody-Cares, in a pressure free situation.
Randle set the foundation to what we are seeing now and survived the NYC rollercoaster as a Knicks star for 5 season. Never ran from the smoke. 3x All Star, 2x All NBA NBA

Two different trade possibilities… (1) Randle in more of a straight up deal with a pick or two. or (2) Dealing Deuce and Mitch with more picks if Claxton really does sign elsewhere

NYK should trade Randle and Mitchell Robinson to the Nets for Mikal Bridges and a contract like Dennis Schroeder…then re-route Schroeder, cash and a 2nd for John Collins to help replace Randle's production as a 4. I'd try to sign Jonas Valanciunas for a max-MLE to replace Mitchell Robinson.

Bridges is a smart move, probably would do two first, or 3 protected first, Boban, Mitch. Resign Hartenstein, get a shot creator for the MLE, keep Precious, trade Jericho Sims for some 2nd round picks, get a backup big like Drummond, keep Burks, and trade one of the 2024 draft picks for a future first.
A starting lineup of Hartenstein, Randle, OG, Bridges and Brunson would be tough for anyone to handle especially with a deep dependable bench
