Wouldn’t be overly thrilled about it but I wouldn’t outright hate the deal, Thomas is young, fits with the jaime and jovic timeline, played pretty solid this year and it frees up cap space

Nets fan here. I’ve never seen a player with so much disparity in ability and potential as CT both amongst the NBA and our own fan base. People see him as the jewel in the Mitchell trade for the Nets if he asks out, with all-star potential. Others, a 6MOTY at best type player. He’s similar to Colin Sexton when he first came through the draft averaging 22ish pts in losses calling it empty stats. As for this trade, it does nothing for either team for where they want to be next year. His game does not suit play off basketball right now that’s for sure.
