Warriors Targeting Elite BIG MAN… – Warriors Workout 3pt SHARP-SHOOTER | Warriors News

Warriors fans three things for you one the video of Brony James being drafted by the Warriors and LeBron James being traded the Warriors how would that work worst performing video I’ve had since basically the first video obviously not a fan Warriors do not want the James gang in our gold jerseys you can stay in the lake or purple and gold so I get it won’t be happening anytime soon two we got some new graphics here hopefully you like as we grow digest media here Warriors digest and you’re helping that a lot I’ll talk about in a second and three what you all really do like are these draft videos we’re less than 25 days away from the draft the creating of this video we’ve been breaking down the players of Warriors of bringing in we got two players for you today one a player of the year defensively in the Pack 12 a lot of people have been commenting his name and who is it Adam Bona this bad man we’re g to talk about and then secondly the other person less heralded however he’s a sharpshooter shoots over 46% on catch and shoot threes something the Warriors could really use so we’re going to have a draft video breakdown for you before we get into it thank you all for subscribing when I first talked about we’re close to 1,000 two videos ago we’re at 910 as we’re creating this video 957 we hit 1,000 we can create new perks memberships exclusive opportunities for you the fans to be with us a Wars digest and get some cool things so please keep subscribing support us helps new people find Warriors digest and we love it let’s get into today’s video Adam Bona this man right here look at that what a block pmed it in the ringers latest mock draft UCLA’s ad Demona is selected by the Warriors that’s big that means he’s falling to 52nd the Rookie of the Year in the Pack 12 two years ago the defensive player of the year in the Pack 12 big time and we look at the list of players Awards have worked out we’ve touched on a lot of these people Brooks barnheiser from Northwestern Florida State Darren Green Jr Kean Johnson Arizona pel Larson Arizona shahada Wells mcne State Moses wood however ad Dam’s not on it why are we not working him out if this is who potentially big publication says obviously many things go into it it’s a very loaded question but I personally think and you’re going to see he’s a really good fit I know people have commented his name he’s a good fit Bona similar to Kavon Looney to provide support behind him coincidentally another UCLA player of course Looney went to UCL has helped us win multiple championships without him maybe we have one not as many as we do in two seasons with the Bruins the 6’10 center and just saying it’s not really 610 we’re going to talk about that combined stats Decor the resume Pack 12 defensive player the year and Pack 12 Rookie of the Year on his way to earning Pack 12 in defensive honors he averaged 13 points and 59% shooting six rebounds 1.2 assists one steal two blocks what do we need for going a big man size and meaning height we want someone who can protect the rim be an enforcer grab rebounds and be in the paint and dissuade people from coming in getting easy layups and shots two blocks a game very big that’s awesome we look at rebounds six a game great nothing bad there whatsoever and 610 but again we’re going to go into that in a second USA has them at 610 per ESPN they get the stats from USA website so ESPN 610 out of Nigeria overall his season stats for 23 24 12.5 points six rebounds one assist 59% shooting not bad at all what I’d love to see two years of UCLA started every game by one 65 out of 66 games 25 minutes only played when you’re playing 40 minutes in college two halves 20 minutes a bit small like to see it closer to 30 to 33 and that’s actually something in the draft reports as a weakness we’re going to talk about does doesn’t shoot threes 0% not a Brook Lopez not a Robin Lopez he’s not a three and D type of big man not someone who’s going to do that so get that out of your head he’s a traditional big man like bogot we look at rebounding two offensive rebounds a game for defensive we look at blocks 1.8 in his final season of course and then 12.4 points so I love to see that two offensive rebounds a game extra possessions potentially up to six points obviously he’s around there banging getting more getting less some games defensive rebounds he’s stopping the possession of a second third opportunity for our opposing team he’s able to keep it to one shot we get up the court transition uh everything is looking really good there we look again at the field goal percentage layups around the rim dunks at the 2023 combine he measured 68.2 Barefoot so again you put on shoes in two that’s how you get the 610 92 standing reach weighed 244 lbs basically wingspan 7 foot 25 now we look at the 2024 combine right below it his height didn’t change standing reach was actually a bit smaller maybe got bigger lost some flexibility weight basically the same but wingspan 73 he grew three inches in wingspan again wingspan’s like this like this however you do it I mean they measure you like this I’m 58 5’9 but I got a 62 wingspan I got some long arms this is great to see when you got long arms and this is the Scout report what does that mean one you’re guarding smaller people around the perimeter in the paint you can keep them in your Zone not let them get a shot up maybe get a hand in there get a steal when they try to shoot you go up you’re taller than it’s more taller than and able to get some blocks or you’re guarding big people say he’s only 69 610 again but he’s got a bigger wingspan can guard people potentially 7 foot and not have as big of a trouble so I like to see that what are his strengths long as we just talked about athletic shot blocking big man who has potential as a a defensive anchor Pack 12 defensive play of the Year good timing on blocks and look at this a 40in Max vert are Elite numers 73 wingspan combined with a 40-inch Max vert 40in vert that’s a guard that’s like Kobe you know what I’m saying like someone like that who’s bouncy John Morant bouncy you don’t see big man do you think Shaq had a 40in ver no that is crazy at his size have a 40in vert that means he is not just a big man he’s athletic and that’s why I says athletic there not the most flu with running but it’s very fast in a straight line in open courts and does run the break well Furious dunker so whates that mean he gets a defensive rebound pushes the ball to Steph to Brandon kaminga can run up the court with him catch an alleyoop be able to help them on a quick transition do a pick and roll type of thing so he’s able to be a versatile transition player not just someone who’s going to Lumber up and down the court or vice versa where we don’t get the offensive rebound he’s able to get back on defense guard the paint make sure there’s not easy shots around the rim and be able to help us out so this is a big thing to have a fast guy aggressive hands with the ball showed solid Improvement in the free throw shooting at UCLA went from 57% to 70% which is Big again 13% change is massive over one season and overall just a solid big man so where do he project well first let’s talk about the weaknesses again only average 26 points a game not ideal once something more out of someone 30 30 33 minutes and fouled out is staggering seven times this past season reached four fouls 12 times that’s not a deal seven foul outs in 33 games you got to be better than that NBA they’re going to come into your body they’re going to make you get up in the air on a pump fake and they’re going to get you in foul trouble when you’re foul trouble you’re playing on the bench actually excuse me I should say different you’re sitting on the bench you’re not playing and you’re not playing not helpful to the team and if the team the coaches can’t trust you to be on the court you won’t play because you’re in foul trouble a lot and you can’t keep giving up silly fouls to where they’re in the penalty early in the quarter will likely need to get more aggressive on the offensive boards didn’t really show passing abilities attempted zero three-pointers in his college career fair and then mid-range shooting is fair non-existent so something the warrior staff will have to do if he comes to this team work on the shooting we’ve seen many players in the NBA get into a shooting program develop a confident shot something Trace Jackson Davis said he’s doing this offseason I want to get better at shooting can I become a three-point shooter to a point that they not get to Sag off of me and they think I could actually shoot and make it will make my all round game better something he I’m sure is aware of and is working on so the question is where is he fit with the Warriors is he a starter right away bench player 2A player G League well based off those accolades I would say he’s a bench player you’re starting five if nothing changes for the team steep Brandon kaminga Draymond Trey Saxon Davis then you got Looney behind Trace Jackson and right here this man Bona Bonafide third man coming off the bench could play some power forward helping out Draymond as well we’re look at his metrics for the draft Big Board 57 his overall rating 94 so that does not match so they’re rating him much higher than what they think he’ll be drafted and this happens a lot with big men you see Zach Edy same thing was NCA player the year D1 college basketball multiple times however not rated to be a top cup picks it’s just not the way the game is in the NBA but athleticism eight size defense strength nine rebounding nine NBA ready eight this is all really good stuff so I love to see it we’re drafting 52nd so if he’s there you get him this is a big hole to fill maybe he goes late first round I’ve seen that some other boards early second round pack you a couple picks go get him feels a need for us but if he’s there for you I say you get him the other need the Warriors have is shooting and this second I Sam Griffin is a great shooter we look here we have actually worked out Sam Griffin but no we didn’t and what makes him such a great shooter 46.5% on catch and shoot three-pointers what is a catch and shoot three literally what it sounds like you don’t take a dribble you catch the pass and you shoot it who’s the best at that ever in the NBA Klay Thompson so this would be a very natural transition the difference is he’s 63 of course Clay is 6 4 excuse me 66 so I’m not going to say he’s the next fight Thompson but has the same type of shooting ability average 17 points a game this season 3.7 rebounds 3.4 assists 4 3.7 shooting for Wyoming so he’s not playing the best talent while coming at a mid major at Wyoming played at Tulsa for a couple years UTA before that so really you know you want to see someone at this level like a John Morant you knew who’s a superstar based off the way he’s playing well fair enough you didn’t know but like he was clearly the best person playing in the mid Majors here he’s basically averaging double points a game every season which is awesome three-point P shooting three-point shooting is above 35% mainly each time field goal percentage around 40 he’s playing a lot of minutes starting most of the games rebounding getting some rebounds as a guard and be able to get a couple assists so very well-rounded player and then addition free throw percentage mid the high 80s so he’s just a peer shooter this is someone who you can count on can come in and shoot most likely at any level coming from Wyoming he’s actually not projected to be drafted I couldn’t find any grades on him either so that means that he would go undrafted this is actually a win because then you can go get Bona at the 52nd pick or around there and then you sign this man right here Griffin as a undrafted free agent put him in the summer league let him play see how he does practice with the team then he either can a two-way Player sign him or assign him to the G League maybe he goes undrafted goes to a different team you keep tabs on him through summer league or whatever he does can always bring him in after it become a free agent so I think these are two viable picks again Griffin’s not going to be a starter not going to be on the bench get to be two-way player at best or gague player to start grow his skill and then come to the Warriors and we who do we see that with Jordan P was supposed to be a high level player didn’t went to G League developed his craft became a good player Santos kones Spencer all were g-league players proved themselves got to the main roster so I think these are two good picks comment your thoughts again we have more breakdowns coming as the draft is getting closer and closer and please subscribe help us to the Thousand subscribers that means so much and we’ll give you a lot of exclusive perks when we get there bye y’all

  1. The Ws can draft the best player be it #1 or #52 but if they don't give him playing minutes, it means less and less.

James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, TJD…..we give them all the praises written in every basketball books but they still cannot carry much load. MORE EXPOSURE.
