today we’re counting down the top 10 New York Knicks players of all time this isn’t just about stats it’s about the heart the hustle the moments that made us all fall in love with this team so grab your orange and blue gear settle in and let’s dive into the history of the Knickerbockers starting us off at number 10 we have dollar bill Bradley this guy wasn’t just a basketball player he was a road scholar a US senator and a true renaissance man but on the court he was all business Bradley was a two-time NBA Champion known for his smooth jump shot intelligent play and clutch performances he wasn’t the most athletic guy on the court but he was smart crafty and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time Bradley’s impact went beyond the box score he was a leader a mentor and a role model for his teammates his contributions to the Knicks championship teams in the 7s will never be forgotten coming in at number nine we have the one and only Earl The Pearl Monroe this guy was pure Magic on the court his dribbling was poetry and motion his moves were unpredictable and his scoring ability was undeniable watching him play was like watching a Harlem Globe Trotter but with even more flare Monroe was a four-time Allstar and a key contributor to the Knicks 1973 championship team he formed an iconic backcourt duo with Walt Clyde Frasier and their chemistry was electrifying the Pearl was a showman a true artist on the court he wasn’t afraid to try something new to break the mold and to entertain the crowd his flashy style and infectious smile made him a fan favorite and his contributions to the Knick’s success will never be forgotten off the Court Monroe was known for his unique fashion sense and his love of the New York City lifestyle he embraced the city and its culture becoming a true New Yorker he was a beloved figure in the community and his legacy extends far beyond the basketball court at number eight we’ve got Bernard King the scoring machine of the80s this guy could flat out put the ball in the basket he averaged an insane 32.9 points per game during the 1984 5 season a Knicks record that still stands today it was a scoring Clinic every night with King torching opponents with his smooth jumper powerful drives to the hoop and acrobatic finishes King was a four-time All-Star and a two-time scoring champion but injuries sadly cut his prime short he suffered a devastating knee injury in 1985 that robbed him of his explosiveness and limited his playing time in subsequent Seasons it’s a what if scenario that still haunts Nick’s fans to this day what if King had stayed healthy how many more points could he have scored how many more championships could the Knicks have won but even with those setbacks Bernard King’s impact on the Knicks was better Frasier’s signature move was the Clyde Glide a smooth and effortless drive to the basket that left defenders in the dust he also had a deadly mid-range jumper and he was a clutch for performer when the game was on the line he was a complete player a true Superstar who elevated the game of basketball to new heights but Frasier was more than just a basketball player he was a cultural icon his
