@Los Angeles Lakers

[Fanta] at some point over the last week, several Lakers (not named LeBron) went to the FO and said they weren’t fans of JJ’s attitude. Rob and Jeanie reopened the search, and Hurley said he was seriously interested this time around

AD so far has gotten Ham fired and kept the Lakers searching long enough to possibly land a home run hire. God bless my superstar

Great to hear the FO listening to their guys

So JJ wasn’t a smokescreen? FO wanted him but some players made noise and by coincidence Hurley was interested this time around? I wonder how close we were to hiring JJ

JJ not having AD on All Defense was a sign plus Redick had always had this smug condescension about him that I’m sure none of the other players want to deal with.

BS. All these so called reporters now coming up with intel about this or that. BS.

  5. Players backing up AD except for Lebron seemingly.

I agree. Other than the “literally zero coaching or front office experience” JJ’s comment about wanting to be a coach kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

He seemed to mainly miss the comradery of road trips and things like that. Which is great… but it seems like he’d be better suited as an assistant coach. Head coach is a thankless job that honestly requires a basketball psycho who is obsessed.

This makes sense. If Hurley was the Lakers first option all along why are they only having a meeting with him today? It’s been like a month since Ham was fired

Now this i have a hard time believing most guys are literally on vacation

Well to be fair this person said today Lakers won’t let Dan get to the plane without having a decision made and someone else covering basketball literally said Dan is going back home and he’ll decide over the weekend.

Now I’m kinda curious what JJ has to say to Shams after the finals lol.

Plot twist, it was DLo that complained 😅

  12. UglyForNoReason

lol that’s all good and fine, but what’s wrong with JJs “attitude”??

  13. b1indsamurai

Sounds like cope from reporters who said FO had their sights on JJ.

  14. Consistent_Owl4593

If AD doesn’t want him then neither should we this is his team now and he deserves to be involved. He doesn’t want to play for any shit head coaches like the last one he deserves better, Rob already forced him to play under the worst coach in the league once we are only going up from here

  15. CabbageStockExchange

Good. I always felt like JJ was condescending and a pompous ass his whole career. Never bought into the idea he’d be a good coach or is approchable.

  16. No_Mongoose_3727

Sounds great and all but now all these dumb ass reporters will probably come out saying stuff like this to save face.

Where was this info “the first time around” ?

These guys don’t know anything, throwing darts at the board and using fan bias to get clicks. You’re getting played OP

  18. Brokenbullet14

So pretty much if Lakers don’t get dan they’re fucked

Could someone outline John Fanta’s credibility as a source for Lakers news?

LeBron has won championships with rookie coaches. I think yall are overreacting to JJ, calling him a podcaster…..which is obviously a straw man.

The dude is an ex player who knows the game. And his voting for all defense has little to do with how well someone coaches. Which should be quite obvious.

I mean, he does come across as an arrogant know it all. He reminds me of Shaq at times.
