  1. Lol and how are we better without him exactly? We let him walk and we lose half our shooting. This aint addition by subtraction like trading Poole.

  2. Klay needs to be a bench guy. If he doesn’t want to be, that’s his prerogative but he won’t be a Warrior anymore.

Klay is worth MLE. Everyone talkin bout 2 years 45M or some shit being a good deal is out of their mind.

The most important thing is that he’s no longer reliable enough to give him more than 1 year deals at a time.

If he wants more years, he’s gotta take less money. It is what it is. This warriors team had the most wasted money on salary this past season and Klay was a massive part of that.

Klay needs to be an awesome sixth man for this team. Too many times last season he had a long leash and was allowed to try and shoot his way out of a bad night. Can’t do that, Steve needs a shorter leash and a better rotation. Hopefully we get a good assistant coach…

  5. I heard someone that sounded knowledgeable point out that there’s no cap advantage to losing Klay’s salary, so losing him gives us no ability to replace him. I wish it were otherwise though, because he doesn’t play championship defense anymore. But he had a good enough season I don’t see a point in losing him for nothing.

If he doesn’t want to take a pay cut to stay a warrior i wont be mad. I’ll be cheering him on in whatever jersey hes wearing. Hes a warrior lifer.

This sub is just weird… “Klay should be the 6th man.” He then became the 6th man and they were still losing even when he was on fire. Then everyone was saying he needs to move back to the starter, he did, and they still lost even when he played better. The problem is, the Warriors just don’t have enough actual shooters to help at the moment.

After the 0/10 in the play-in and getting outplayed by Austin Reaves in the Lakers series the year before, I’m ready to move on from Klay. He went from a guy who gets better in the playoffs to a guy who gets worse. Stretches of his old self in spurts over the course of the regular season are not enough.

I think the biggest issue is if you bench Klay and make no roster moves this summer, which is a huge possibility given the incompetence of the office, who the hell do you put next to Steph? Klay sucks now but he also provides spacing for Steph. When Klay got benched, Steph looked rough and couldn’t get open to save his life. Being the only shooter/scorer on the court while nearing 40 won’t work. With this current roster construction, a washed Klay is still Steph’s best space provider.
