they could use a third star they’re also going to need Surefire depth in their future Quests for a championship well what we need and what darl Mory does are probably two different things the Sixers can open up 52 million to cap space it will be tough to find players on contracts to fit alongside it’s possible six are not able to land a Max free agent like Paul George or Lebron James trading for one like Jimmy Butler means the Philly is sinking all of its future cap flexibility into draft picks into one player I said that earlier like I’d rather not do that just because you can’t just sign Jimmy Butler outright you got to uh give up assets to get him 76ers could add a solid starter or high-end bench player via trade though they may only have the capability to acquire two of the following five names at most but each of them could play a big role in helping the Sixers compete at a higher level and again what what you when you look at the playoffs where the Sixers finished um and what the just the whole road to the finals looked like for the Boston Celtics the Sixers don’t need as much as everybody thinks they do they were right there you know if their third option wasn’t $180 million goose egg Tobias Harris they probably beat the Knicks they probably beat the Pacers they’re probably in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Celtics where they probably lose but at least they’re there you know uh Alex Caruso we talked about him before the answer is yes he would bolster the defense he would give you a little bit more facilitating on the offensive end but most of all his attitude his mentality his what he brings on the defensive end is is such a hardworking dog mentality that I think it would be contagious for the rest of the team man the Sixers a lot last season struggled defensively on the perimeter mostly because of personnel goose egg the contract Tobias uh when you had Tobias and Nick patum out there at the same time two of the slowest guys in the NBA not good uh perimeter defense when you had Mo bomba out there with those guys when you it was bad there was a lot of bad defense played by the Sixers last year so yeah Alex Caruso I’m cool with Cam Johnson cam Johnson that’s a nice that’s an interesting One cam Johnson traded from the Suns to the Nets in the Kevin Garnet Uh Kevin Garnet Kevin Durant trade I like cam Johnson a lot man 610 3 andd player that can do a lot of different things again I say this about a lot of players but one of those guys the Sixers never have a UT guy a guy that can literally dribble pass and shoot let’s let’s read about what what what Clutch Point says about cam Johnson while the Brooklyn Nets have shown no interest in trading Bridges they might be open to moving Johnson who doesn’t have the potential to be a special perimeter Defender but provides three and D skill set for a cheaper cost and slightly bigger frame if the Sixers don’t land a star in free agency or trades they could use some of that cap space and draft Capital to bring in Johnson Johnson’s a great shooter efficient from the corners above the break while letting it fly on high volume even being on the middling Nets team of the past few seasons didn’t sink his percentages he’s gotten better overtime at reading the floor and setting up his teammates posting a career best 2.4 assists per game while barely increasing his frequency of turnovers that Improvement partner with his size and Mobility makes him a strong option for dribble handoffs the lack of scoring at the hoop from Johnson is a result of taking so many shots from deep but over his career he has converted his handful of shots from the free throw line 83% within 3 ft of the rim 72% efficient rates 72% at The Rim do you guys want to know Tobias Harris’s percentage at The Rim you don’t want to having two star scorers next to him can help unlock him as a cutter a wing at his size can throw down a nice dunk and will already pull defenses out to the arc because of the threat of his shot makes for a stellar off ball threat defensively Johnson has plenty of work to do his rebounding is okay for his position but he has the frame to be a multi-positional Defender that Nick nurse can mold into a capable team Defender whatever upside he offers as a legitimately strong Defender is a bonus on top of his value on offense yeah I like that you know if the Sixers strike out which hopefully they do I’m hoping they strike out on all these names that Daryl muray is targeting clearly uh Paul George Jimmy Butler whoever else I hope that Daryl Murray is forced to build a deep roster versus throwing all your assets at 30 5y old players that want $200 million and if the Nets are going to blow it up and you can’t get Mel Bridges because the Nets are going to ask for four first round picks for him I really really really like cam Johnson as an option I think he would fit nicely in in fill in the gaps between Tyrese Maxi and joeel embiid you know I think that the Sixers haven’t looked at fit when when when building a roster uh my entire life um maybe the 2001 team was a good fit that’s how they got as far as they got even with players that weren’t really even Star level outside of AI uh I think Johnson would be a good fit kind of a Michael Porter Jr type with a little bit more athleticism let me know if that’s a good comparison uh but give me your thoughts on cam Johnson man I think that’s a good move if the Sixers if they strike out and if Daryl Murray’s forced to to you know shop a little bit on the uh on the Walmart side of the NBA uh if he’s forced to shop at the at the NBA Dollar Store I like cam Johnson a lot I’ve uh the other one there is Dorian Smith talked about him a lot defensive Wing uh 3 andd guy known known particularly for his lock down perimeter defense uh I like Dorian finny Smith a lot and a guy that has some experience behind him so you know and I think they were asking asking for two first round picks for him earlier in the season which is crazy uh but you know who knows what he would be available for but I like I like Dory and Finny Smith definitely um and and if you can add two of these five you know we’ll do that we we’ll talk about which two and where it could land the Sixers the other one is Denny Adia yes yes yes yes yes yes give me the big white shooter 23-year-old AIA is listed at 6’9 and can be a focal point of Philly’s defense moving forward his versus futility on the wing would be a great to have as what his strong defensive rebounding while he isn’t super disruptive in terms of steals or blocks his toughness on ball has really popped as of late having a stopper like him can be super valuable in a league with so many Superstar wings and big guards I love it I love it I mean the Wizards always every year should be looking to completely blow it up uh AIA is a great player man watching the games uh against us we we saw AIA give us fits I think he had like a 30 piece one of those games man and those are the only Wizards games I watched because who the hell would watch the Wizards voluntarily uh but yeah if you if if the Sixers if their plan C is to add you know is to bring most everybody back but free themselves of Tobias Harris and add a couple of young 3 and D Wings you tell me does this get the Sixers out of that first round that they were stuck in with the New York Knicks you know if the Sixers add cam Johnson and say say the only thing they do is let Tobias Harris walk resign you know Kelly UB Nick Batum Kyle Lowry and they make some minimal trades for let’s say cam Johnson and either Denny AIA or Dorian finny Smith does that get them into the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics I think it does I think it does and then again you’d be praying that Joel embiid stays healthy because without Joel embiid’s Health you are done but also year five Tyrese Maxi guys do y’all even realize what year five Ty Maxi is going to look like I know I said it before and people don’t understand what I mean we could be on the the fence we could be stepping over the fence of Joel EMB being the number one scorer on this team we could be right on the brink of Tyrese Maxi becoming the solidified number one scorer on this team if you watch that New York Knicks playoff series tell me I’m crazy year five Tyrese Maxi might do more for this team this upcoming season than anything they do in free agency and trades so year five Tyrese Maxi knock on what a healthy Joel embiid for the first time in our lives probably not going to happen and two
