Houston Rockets Trading For Marcus Smart⁉️

yo what’s going on guys it’s Houston Sports Talk Back another video today and today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading for Marcus Smart uh and I’d love to see this trade happen for the Rockets I’m going to go over why so we I you know we’ve heard some Rumblings recently Rockets Twitter’s been you know I’ve seen some Rockets some people on Rocket Twitter saying they want to see the Rockets trade for Marcus Smart the there’s been a lot of Buzz around the Grizzlies interested in trading for the number three overall pick I feel like if the Rockets trade this third overall pick they’re going to want a player to improve their roster if they make a trade with the Grizzlies I feel like e may adoka would really love to reunite with Marcus Smart I’d love to see uh a re you know you know Marcus Smart and e may adoka reunited uh Marcus Smart uh played some of his best basketball when uh playing with you know or being coached by Oka not playing with him or playing for him yeah he won Defensive Rookie of the Year uh uh when eok was his coach in the 2122 season was one of the best defensive players in basketball in that 2122 season um and also started 71 games 70 played 71 games 71 starts was Defensive Player of the Year averaged 12 points per game and also averaged six assists per game two steals per game a half a block per game and from three he shot 33% so smart was great in the uh regular season when coached by Oka for one season and with Boston in that postseason uh he was great as well in the postseason in their finals run in 21 games smart averaged 15 points per game six assists per game over one steal per game and from three smart shot 35% on 6 and half three point attempts per game so smart has played some of his best basketball in his career when coached by E adoka and knowing that the Grizzlies and the Nets are two teams who have a lot of interest in the third overall pick I’d love to see the Rockets add in Marcus Smart this past season he averaged 14 and a half points per game for the Grizzlies with four and a four four and a half assists per game but smart had some injuries as he only played 20 games 30 minutes per game the Grizzlies were filled with injuries and actually we just a terrible team this year so there’s really no point of him coming back um I love for the Rockets to bring in Marcus Martin you know what what does a Marcus Smart Edition look like for this Rockets team um you know who do you know obviously you know it’s obviously centered around the third overall pick but um here’s a trade I’ve come up with the Rockets to land Marcus Smart and get rid of the third overall pick so the Rockets send the third overall pick tar een be tough to see him go but you’re getting rid of a good Defender and and adding in a better one um so you know T een tar een Jack landal Jon Tate with the third overall pick and the 44th overall pick in this draft which is a second round pick for marus smart and Luke Canard Luke Canard is another guy I’d love to see the Rockets trade for another Grizzly I’d love to see the Rockets add in and mainly because of his three-point shooting the rockets need three-point shooting and need their three-point shooting to be better uh Luke Canard is definitely uh you know definitely does that and brings in that career 3point percentage of um 43% in his career shot 45% this past season what if I told you guys that was bad compared to Seasons before 2223 season you shot 49% 2021 22 season shot uh 45% season before that 45% so um yeah he’s an excellent three-point shooter he shot 45 % on six three-point attempts per game most three-point attempts he’s ever shot uh in his season um his his lower his lowest attempts before that uh was like 5.8 so uh you know great three-point shooter that’s rockets need three-point shooting and I’ve I’ve said this I’ve said this so many times rockets need three-point shooting they need to add in better three-point Shooters around alpron sangon and you do this you’re doing this by adding in both of these guys Marcus Smart and Luke Canard I think it’d be brilliant for the Rockets add these add these guys in Luke Canard his career three-point shoot at 43% shot 45% this past season then Marcus Smart is someone who shot uh I believe 35 this season um make sure let me make sure that’s correct um actually yeah no shot 31% this season but it’s a 33% three-point shooter even shot 36% in the 201819 season so 3 3o per three-point shooter um so and um you know those are two good three-point Shooters Marcus Smart is not as good as Luke Canard of course at three-point shooting but he’s good and he’s great defensively look the Rockets two things they want to bring in this this offseason they want to improve on defense and three-point shooting both guys bring that Luke Canard not so much defensively but his three-point shooting is excellent and would be great for this team and then uh Marcus sm’s defense is topnotch it would be great for this for this team and obviously uh he’s a decent three-point shooter as well so I mean it it’d be great for the rockets and obviously Marcus SM coming in uh you’d probably be looking at you know with him coming in obviously I think uh potentially UTM Min Thompson probably be playing more at the small forward and power forward Off the Bench or uh you know potentially starting I don’t know um that’d be interesting but you know I think you’d still have the same starting lineup as a team you’d still have Fred and uh Dylan and Jaylen green and Jabari Smith Jr and you know out pring good but then Off the Bench you have Marcus Smart and you have Cam Whitmore amen Thompson Luke Canard and Stephen Adams so it’d be it it definitely be a very good bench for the Rockets to have a very good bench and a and a good defensive team as well let me know your thoughts on the potential trade in the comment section and peace out go Rockets
