Houston Rockets Trading For Jimmy Buttler⁉️
yo what’s going on guys it’s Houston Sports Talk Back the video day and today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading for Jimmy Butler recently Bleacher Report uh I guess they really want the Rockets to trade for Jimmy Butler htown kid um you know I would I wanted the Rockets to acquire Jimmy Butler I remember I remember going into that uh 201819 season I believe it was no going into the 201920 season uh you know there were some rumors about the Rockets being interested in Jimmy Butler and I wanted I wanted him to team up with James Harden and Chris Paul so bad um but Jimmy B Jimmy Butler’s a little older now um he’s still a six-time All-Star and a great player but there have been some rumors on bleacher well there’s not been any like rumors that the Rockets are interested in him but there’s just been like these articles for Bleacher Report like um there there was one one it was like one dream Target one dream trade Target for every NBA team and who was the one dream trade Target for the Rockets Jimmy Butler and then um and then there was another uh there was the the most recent one mentioning Jimmy Butler and the rockets was uh trades for the 28 teams that are not in the finals which this article on bleach report was the day of the NBA Finals so 28 20 20 it was like something like trades for the 28 teams that are not in the finals and what was the trade for the rockets that was acquiring Jimmy Butler now the trade that they suggested is outrageous uh I love Jimmy Butler I think he’s a great player he’d be a great addition for the rockets and he he’d be a game changer to bring him in next to alunan and Fred Van vet that’ be absolutely fantastic for the Rockets right but for what they think we should give up for him it is not I mean it’s like Jaylen green Dylan Brooks and and uh cam Whitmore with a third overall pick and another draft pick absolutely not um I’d be fine with the Rockets giving up Jaylen green and um Jaylen green and Dylan Brooks and the third overall pick for uh Jimmy Butler it’s not a special draft probably the third overall pick in this year’s draft is probably worth a top Pro probably like the is it’s probably like a top 15 pick in you know in a good draft class right so it’s not a you know yes it’s the third ofall pick but um you know it’s not that great of a pick and then um you know Jaylen green uh is a great player and he has a great young future but if we’re going to add in Jimmy Butler you know I don’t I could I really you know I really can’t see those two guys playing together on the floor those are two guys who want the ball in their hands you know I wouldn’t say at all times but I just don’t see those two really working together and then Dylan Brooks kind of has to be involved in the trade due to you know you know salary filler but I feel like the for me at least and in this potential trade the the only guy that I really see is off limits in this trade is is Cam Whitmore that’s the only guy I don’t want to see go um but you know that yeah really cam Whitmore is the only guy I don’t have for Jimmy Butler a guy who has been successful in the postseason is a great player um and one of the best postseason or not one of the best but his been recently one of the best you know postseason performers last last before this postseason last postseason was absolutely fantastic avering 27 in the postseason leading his team to the NBA finals season before that um he led his team to the Eastern Conference Finals and averaged 27 points per game in the postseason and um season postseason before that he he was injured uh and then uh 201920 postseason uh L his team to the NBA finals averaging 23 points per game so you know regular season obviously he’s good I mean he averaged 21 points in the regular season this year but you know Jimmy Butler it he shines in the postseason he really does and uh you know Jaylen green yes has young you know a bright future you know it could come to bite you in the ass if you get rid of him for a 34 34 year old jimy Butler but I feel like him next to Al pron Goose him next to Al pron gives the Rockets chances to win uh and be successful in the postseason uh you know him van vit and shenon and Jabari Smith Jr cam Whitmore would be great but like the really only thing that alarms me in that trade is giving up cam Whitmore that’s the only guy I don’t want to see go um but what does a Rockets team look like if you trade Jaylen green and Dylan Brooks in the third overall pick and potentially another draft pick another first round pick to land Jimmy Butler your starting lineup would be van v I’m sure C Whitmore would probably start uh at the two at shooting guard Jimmy Butler would be starting at the small Ford Jabari Smith Jr would be starting at the power forward I feel like uh he’d be a good Mentor potentially to jaari Smith Jr for uh him to become a better a better player and then I’m talking about Jimmy being a mentor to to uh to to Jabari Smith Jr and then shingu at the five and then Off the Bench you have a men Thompson you have uh you know you have you have a men thomp coming off the bench you have Tory een as well um Steven Adams and you know you have other trade assets who could potentially be involved for the Rockets to you know improve the roster even more and Jan Tate and Jo Landell so uh you know I I wouldn’t mind that team honestly I’d rather see the Rockets keep Jaylen green and develop him as a young player and keep Dylan Brooks and the energy he has defensively and uh just the you know every everything he brings to the table um you know because if if Jimmy if this was a couple years ago if this was a year or two ago I would say oh yeah of course you give you get rid of Jaylen and Dylan Brooks and the third overall pick and another draft pick uh or two to get to get Jimmy Butler of course of course we do that but Jimmy is a little bit older now 34 years old so I honestly I don’t know um but you know if Jaylen Jaylen has a bad year next year his trade value is going to go down I feel like his trade value is kind of high right now um after the way he finished last season do you want to take the chance on him potentially you know starting you know the season rough again and you know things being really bad for him and uh you know so I don’t know if that’s something you want to potentially you know go through because Jaylen Jaylen green was going through it bad I mean the Nets would didn’t even trade for him the Rockets tried to acquire Mel Bridges and offered Jaylen with multiple first round picks and they wouldn’t do it uh you know I think if the Rockets offered Jaylen Green in multiple first- round picks now the Mets Pro the Nets would probably do it because Jaylen finished the season a lot better than you know he started things uh although honestly Jaylen green and Cameron Thomas together would be absolutely terrible those are two guys who want the basketball in their hands at all times that would be that’d be outr those two guys together would not work I’ll tell you I’ll tell you all I’ll tell all of you that right now that that might be honestly Cameron Tom cam Thomas might be a reason why the Nets don’t want Jaylen green uh but yeah let me know your thoughts on the Rockets potentially trading for Jimmy
