NBA Mock Draft 4.0!! Zach Edey Lottery Pick??
ladies and gentlemen boys and girls welcome back to the channnel today we are back with another NBA Mock Draft we haven’t done one in a while and I’ve officially gotten through these top 10 11 prospects in terms of prospect final evaluations uh so these are kind of based off of my rating system um so judge it how you wish down in the comment section below but let’s go ahead and get started here first with the Atlanta Hawks and if I’m Atlanta I’m probably trading this pick there’s a hulks offseason video coming out soon so make sure you stay tuned for that but I there’s there’s not a lot of Direction here you know you got to decide what you want to do with Trey young de jonay Murray Jaylen Johnson is definitely a centerpiece for the future um but apart from that you got to decide which guard you want AJ Griffin kind of regress we’ll see what they do with the Andre Hunter sadique Bay both of those guys I think could stay on long term but injury history with Hunter and that contract I don’t know so with the first pick best center available is Donovan Clinger but the most potential and if you’re staying at one honestly I’d have him go Reet probably uh and stick him beside Jaylen Johnson but it seems like right now that the Hawks are warning alexar so to keep it kind of somewhat realistic we’ll go alexar number one to the Hawks right now that’s everybody else’s consensus number one I really don’t see it um he’s very very raw and for sure could be a really good player down the line but right now still a very raw Prospect and it’s it’s going to be a major project for a team and if the Hawks are willing to commit to it it could definitely pay off in the long run so we go Alex SAR first overall to the Hawks now at two we have the Washington Wizards getting the my in my opinion the best overall player in this draft class was Zach R Donovan King is actually my highest graded player but I think you know Zachary Zay with you know there’s not centers unless you’re Nicole leic and Joel embiid that can score from all three levels and kingan really is only a lob threat um he can score around the basket a little bit but can’t score from the mid-range can’t shoot the three ball um The Stroke is all right but unless you’re joic embiid one of those top tier centers and I don’t think Kingland is going to project as that it’s a Wings league and that is for sure look at the most dominant team in the league right now the Boston Celtics they got Jaylen Brown they got Jason Tatum to Elite wings so I think Ray is the pick here for the Washington Wizards great shooter he really reminds me of Michael Porter Jr but with even more upside um needs to work on his creation a little bit more but I think he could be a really really good player um now at three we have the Houston Rockets and if I’m the Rockets I’m going best player available here and I think the guy that can impact you directly the most next year is Reed Shepard great shooter you can stick him at that point guard spot if you want and let him play in front of Amen Thompson we’ll see what they do there with the fedan fet thing he’s got two years left on his deal um Jaylen green obviously at the two so maybe this could be a backup plan if Jaylen green doesn’t work out but you also have guys like cam Whitmore um Dylan Brooks who can play the two but they can also play the three and then you got tar e and Jabar Smith Jr at the four it’s it’s a nice nice young group here in Houston and they have a chance to add on to that and I think Reed Shepard is the perfect fit to help you get into that playoff uh playoff Contender tier there we go um English is hard sometimes Reed Shepard there with a third overall pick now at four we have the San Antonio Spurs and normally they’d go point guard here I I like point guard for them but topic allegedly has a torn ACL Stefan Castle cannot shoot Rob Dillingham is 6’1 and what so I think you can end up waiting for point guard because you know luxury of being the Spurs right now you have two top eight picks so I think you can go best player on the board and imagine adding Cody Williams to this squad that gives you a wing du of the future of Cody Williams and Devon Vel and yes Williams is a young untapped Prospect but you put him in the hands of Greg papovich shot at over 40% from three this year not something you see from first year wings at all especially not 6’8 wings that have crazy length in athleticism so I think Cody Williams is the pick here at four for the Spurs unless the board Falls a little bit differently but 5 through seven are really not point guard needy teams with the Pistons having Cade the Hornets having lamelo and whoever’s a seven we’ll get to them later um but at five we have the Detroit Pistons and this is a team that they are going through it right now they got Cade they got Jaden Ivy who has been solid um AAR Thompson he was he was good a good Defender especially in his rookie year and then you got a few bigs here with Jaylen Duran Isaiah Stewart James wisman um and so I think the pick I think the pick here probably becomes Ron Holland and I’m not very high on Ron Holland I don’t think he is you know he’s definitely not a win now player but I think if developed correctly alongside of AAR Thompson they could be one of the better Wing Duos in the future now this could also be a very risky pick because he could never develop a jump shot Zar can never develop a jump shot and then you’re stuck with two guys that can’t play Closing minutes and that would be a big problem but if you’re trying to you know mold into this Minnesota Timberwolves esque defensive formula where you get all these long athletic wings I think Ron Holland’s the pick definitely has a lot of offensive potential especially as a slasher if you can get him a jump shot that’d be even better so Ron Holland whoa all right so after some technical difficulties we got Holland to um the Pistons as we wanted and then at six that leaves the Charlotte Hornets um with the position to take Dalton connect um I could see clinging here either one of these guys I would not hate at all um with Mark Williams questionable Health uh we’ll see how that plays in the long term but if I’m getting a center I would like to get either we get rid of Mark Williams and bring somebody else in as the backup um if we do go clinging because I don’t want two centers that are just exclusively lob threats and R protectors I’d like to have a center that can stretch the floor maybe we just stick with a four that can stretch the floor Grant Williams shoted really well with the Hornets this year I don’t know if that’s sustainable but we’ll see um but I love dton connect as a prospect I think he fits this Hornets lineup perfectly uh because you got lamelo Bridges Brandon Miller three slashers really um and then a lob threat in Mark Williams you need that guy that can stretch the floor and in a weak draft class you can 100% justify dton connect going with the sixth overall pick a guy with plus athleticism even though he doesn’t look like it with the DNA uh 22 points per game two assists five boards I like d connect a lot to my Charlotte Hornets y’all can debate with me down in the comment section below if you’d like now for the Portland Trailblazers this is another spot you know maybe they decide to offload Aon Williams and get kingan kingan is just going to continue his fall down the board here um and with the seventh overall pick we’re going to have the Portland Trailblazers take a project Wing from the g-league ignite something we saw a Golden State Warriors team that was similarly positioned with the seventh and 14th pick a couple of years ago take in Jonathan kuminga and he turned out to be a very good Prospect Matas buellis definitely has a lot of potential he just has to get a little bit bigger he is very weak right now not strong I mean he gets bumped off of his path doing almost anything going out you know to take the trash out he gets bumped off his path by the trash can he needs to get in the weight room get on that bench press and if he does that he could be a really really good Wing at 6’1 with plus measurables I think you know the Blazers are in a position here to take a guy that they can you know turn into their project and so that’s why I think Matas buellis goes to the Blazers at seven and then you have 14 you can take a win now player if you want at eight we have the San Antonio Spurs back on the clock and this is where Nico a toic goes uh i’ I’d Love Stefan Castle as a Defender as a passer at that point guard spot but actually you know what I talked myself into it with the injury concerns we’re going Stefon Castle here and hopefully they can teach him how to shoot um it hasn’t worked with Kell Johnson and Jeremy Sohan so far he didn’t have a terrible stroke I will say that he was not bad and he’s a very very good Defender great length at 6’7 um about what 210 215 I think is what He’s listed at on ESPN 11 points three assists five boards I like Castle to the Spurs there to be the point guard of the future now at n we have the Grizzlies on the clock and this is where Donovan kinging goes off the board he gets to be imagine the rim protection Duo of jiren Jackson Jr and Donovan kingan but jiren Jackson playing that four and being able to guard on the perimeter allows you to have this Duo playing together and then you can move GG Jackson to the three if you really wanted to get big that would be crazy um but I think kingan he’s the best player on the board here by far and he goes to the Grizzlies at nine just best player available um now we have the Jazz who really don’t have a franchise point guard either Chris Dunn’s good but long term he’s not a franchise point guard konay George I see more of a two or a three they got Colin ston here they need some Wing depth for sure John Collins’s contract is just expiring I guess maybe move Taylor Hendricks over to the three we’ll see if they get a good sophomore year out of him not too sure but I think this is where nicoa topich goes off the board even with the ACL concerned 6’7 floor General Elite passer uh can set up Lowry can set up Walker Kesler and and the lob the pick and roll I’d love to see that um you know you get a couple of Shooters in free agency in this Jazz team could kind of be in business theoretically um at 11 we have the Chicago Bulls on the clock Lonzo ball you know maybe he comes back to play in fulltime I don’t know but I think this is where we see jacobe Walter go off the board um a guy that can be developed Zack LaVine DeMar rosen lots of rumors about them being moved on from soon and moving on with Kobe white and and IOD dumu as your guards jacobe Walter would be a great Wing or guard Off the Bench I think he could be you know a a really good six-man or maybe he even develops into your starting shooting guard we’ll see what happens but I think jacobe Walter is the pick here for the Bulls at 11 now at 12 we have the Oklahoma City Thunder and this is one of my favorite picks in the draft you get another shooter to surround Shay you can move on from Josh giddy if this happens go get Jared McCain the best one of the best Shooters in the class I don’t think you can say is a better shooter than Reed Shepard um and he doesn’t have the volume that Dawn connect did but Jared McCain really really good shooter does more than that though he averaged five rebounds and he’s great at playing off two feet once he gets into the pain I think Jared McCain is an instant impact player now we have the Sacramento Kings and with Rob Dillingham being very undersized he has fallen down the board here a little bit but once again there comes a point in every draft where you just have to sit back and say all right this guy’s the best player on the board by far I don’t need to reach for somebody that fits the roster better right now because in two three years the roster is going to look completely different so with that being said Rob Dillingham going to the spur or to the Kings here all kinds of talent 15 points four assists three boards Off the Bench uh big time Talent there out of Kentucky and there is never a sh bet in sports than a Kentucky guard now at 14 the final pick of the lottery we have the Portland Trailblazers and this is where they go with their wing um and I’m going to have it be Jaylen Tyson out of California he is snuck up into Lottery conversations average about 20 points a game can really defend he’s a bigger Wing at 6’7 um you know maybe you could talk about Zack Edy but you have two bigs Terence Shannon Jr Kevin mcculler Devin Carter these are all Antonio Reeves all guys kind of in the same tier um of guys that can immediately impact your roster and so Jaylen Tyson goes to the Blazers maybe he’s not a lot to rep pick y let me your thoughts down in the comment section below but this is my you know we’ve only got 11 prospects fully scouted but we will you know continue on down the draft board this is the what 3.0 or something like that mock draft lemon know your thoughts down Your choice of the Spurs choosing Williams at 4 makes no sense. Let's say he is all that and the Spurs wanted him then they can easily move down to 6, or 7 and pick him.
If Clingan is still on the board at 6, the Hornets should consider a trade back. Would the Blazers want Clingan enough to swap 7 and 14 for 6, 42 and another future 2nd. Take Knect at 7 and Kel'el Ware at 14.
Spurs won’t take Williams over castle. Williams will most likely be available at 8.
hornets should get edey at 6…. he dominated clingan, lively, filipowski and any other center or big
Buzelis at 4 of Castle is gone. Then a pg at 8
on draft day, if the Spurs do end up doing something hinky with that fourth pick like getting Cody Williams then I would be on the lookout for the Spurs trading that eighth pick in a package to get Darius Garland.
We’re picking castle at 4, saying that shooting hasn’t worked with Sochan is crazy considering his numbers when up exponentially, he literally said he working on fixing the side spin on his shot, hopefully we take Devon Carter at 8 too and go full lockdown in the backcourt, vassell can easily slide to the three cuz in all seriousness he’s not laterally quick enough to keep up with guards and this way he doesn’t have to guard the best guards and can focus on scoring and being more efficient on the offensive end
Your first and second choice proves how much of a joke you are.
Appreciated your work and content as always. I would be ecstatic if the Charlotte hornets draft Dalton knecht because he can plug in play with LaMelo ball miles bridges and Brandon Miller and now you are building a winning culture in the queen city
