Bruh moment, I get what he’s trying to say, but dog just fed the media narrative for the entire next day

  2. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

4D chess by Jrue boost JB’s confidence and motivate Tatum

  4. assassin_826

this was def planned lmaooo, he’s prob just trolling the media Jrue isn’t that dumb… he’s even smiling a bit throughout the clip

  5. coacoanutbenjamn

Anyone freaking out about this is seriously underrating Tatum’s maturity

Tatum is the most level headed guy in the league. He isn’t going to let this shit affect him

  6. Here we go man the media and trolls are just gonna eat this up and i don’t even blame Jrue that’s just how it works

  7. tacko2020

I initially didn’t like this but he’s trying to turn a negative into a positive. If Tatum doesn’t have an ego, this quote will change nothing, if anything he’s trying to boost up Jaylen

  8. champagnesupernova10

I’m inclined to believe Mazzulla himself told Jrue to say this to get in on the mind games lol

  9. Jrue gonna have to be put on timeout for this one. This shit was squashed perfectly by JB and JT and now he’s just rekindling it.

  10. bootyholebrown69

Jrue didn’t say this to shit on jt lol. It’s to boost up his boy JB. JB has been our best player in the playoffs overall and jrue is obviously not stupid enough to actually think that Tatum is bad or something.

  11. christhefirstx

It’s funny because kyrie has been the best player for the Celtics this series

  12. prettyboysniper

Can you guys relax, this doesn’t mean anything. Jrue’s not stupid, he didn’t take no bait.

  13. It doesn’t matter who’s the best. As long as we get that championship they can never take that away from you!

  14. eazyduzzit10

I hate this just because if Jrue was on the same page as everyone else, this narrative would be dead by tomorrow and the media would move on…this just gives them more ammo, the stupid questions and coverage will continue

  15. “I don’t think he’s lying.” Meaning, he doesn’t think Jason Kidd is playing games with what he said. That doesn’t mean he agrees.

  16. sully9614

Jrue, JB, and JT are all mature and level headed. I really doubt this is a big deal internally, to me this reads like he’s tryna subtly motivate the both of them: JB prove them right, JT prove them wrong. It ultimately doesn’t matter, if you think this is gonna shake them congrats you’re a doomer

  17. Champion-of-the-Sun5

If they lose tomorrow, this is a bad look

  18. jjjuuubbbsss

Lmao y’all are idiots if you think this is Jrue falling for the bait. Just gotta balance the dismissal of Kidd’s attempts while upping JB. It’s all good. I’m pretty sure the vets know what they’re doing.

Notice how he didn’t mention JT? Because he turned a dividing narrative into a singly focused appreciation of JB.

  19. Dunkan_Soup

The vibes are immaculate! Incredible trolling from Jrue! Can’t wait for Game 2!

  20. respectfullybro

I’m not mad at this answer from Jrue, because if I were JB I could possibly take offense to everyone chalking up J Kidd’s comments to “mind games”. When he’s legitimately been playing like the best player.

  21. Jrue has come up with some weird comments lately, not sure what’s going on with him.

  22. Kid_Crayola

yes of course media will spin this but anyone who thinks this is actually “psychological warfare” or “bait” is an idiot

honestly makes me feel like this shit was all was scripted with the 2 day break between games lol

  23. DeucesWild10

At this point I don’t think either of the Jays need any motivation beyond finally winning a chip. They don’t need Jrue to say something, or to take Kidd’s comments as bulletin board material. If they need pumping up, they aren’t the guys — not at this stage of their careers.

  24. Locthor1221

The way they were coy about KP’s injury as a team leading up to the finals, I wouldn’t be surprised if this all planned out internally to feed the media shit and keep them in the dark.

  25. Silly-Appearance2309

Let’s not get it twisted, Brown is the best player right now. I think Jrue is giving his flowers to a guy who never does. I don’t think this has any affect on the team

  26. Y’all are bugging out. These two day breaks ain’t good for mental health here. Go outside.

  27. AdmiralWackbar

I always wonder who thinks this made up high school internet drama would have any effect on the game, then I remember half the people on r/nba are actually in high school

  28. th3g1ng3rvitis

He’s just giving props to a guy playing at a hight level right now. Why not give Brown his flowers for doing whatever it takes to get the chip.

  29. EttehEtteh

You guys are fucking out of your mind if you think Tatum actually cares or even thinks about if people consider him the best player on the team. What is this high school basketball?

  30. I interpreted this as:

“I think Kidd genuinely believes that”

    and not

    “I think Kidd is correct”

  31. Steakisforclosers

Only super casuals think JT and JB give a F. JB got his top tier bag because he’s elite he’s 1B to Tatum 1A. They’re both leaders and multifaceted between league handlings, media, image etc. they’re close and been playing together for years. They want to win and that’s it. If Kidds trying to play mind games this early, that’s desperate. Maybe try before brown got his extension. lol

  32. bradyisking

People trying to cope and make jokes but this isn’t ideal. Should have just said no comment like literally every other Celtic player when asked about this.

I’m not too worried yet but it’s one thing from Tatum to ignore this narrative when the media says it, it’s another when it’s your own teammate. It would have cost him literally nothing to not engage

  33. EducatorReady1326

I don’t understand why everyone is getting so sensitive about this. JB is having a hell of a run this playoffs. Saying so is a nod to Jaylen and doesn’t have to be degrading to Tatum. Last game Tatum had some forced shots and odd turnovers and JB was solid and played great defense.

  34. paintingfainter

I literally guarantee y’all he didn’t take this question that seriously at all and misinterpreted it as kidd saying Jaylen was the best player on the court in game 1. Listen to his response and you can basically ascertain that immediately.

  35. Professional-Fuel625

I think he meant regarding the fact that JB plays well on both ends of the floor.
