Perk shows off his Latvian vocabulary to describe Kristaps Porzingis in Game 1 | NBA Today

Chris stpps porzingis return was the story of the night playing in his first game since April 29th that’s 38 days he missed the last 10 games with a cap strain and just listen to the reaction he got from the Boston faithful when he took the court Jan I’m not even sure that coming through the television captures just how loud it was the moment he took the flooor he came off the bench it’s only the second time in his NBA career he was not starting but he started with a bang he was emphatic and what you heard after the game was the joy that he played with and obviously right there the face up shot he came he started on one he was on fire so with physicality 11 points in the first quarter alone and you can just see there Rich playing with joy and then watch him here don’t try it don’t try oh no it’s the timing it’s got bounced he was trying to put in the he was trying to put in the basket it’s rotation too that was one of the most impressive plays in this playoffs to be honest with you I’m here for it porzingis showing off the range just in case you forgot 18 bench points in the first half the most in a first half in an NBA Finals game 2011 I love it w okay that’s a good stat porzingis with the slam 20 points six rebounds three blocks the Celtics they get the win 10789 here’s Chris steps for zingis after the game tonight was a was a like airm affirmation to myself know that I’m pretty good you know I’m I’m maybe I’m not perfect but I’m pretty good and I can play like this and and I can I can definitely add uh to this team christops had a monster game for us just his um presence shooting the ball and him able to uh attack those switches and mismatches he he uh made him pay every time and that’s what we need going forward in the series christops big what he’s been doing his whole career the guy’s a great player uh he’s been great for us the reason why we’re here is because of what he’s done so doesn’t matter how long it takes off the guy’s going to make plays because of how talented he is and the work that he puts in and uh you know what he did for us tonight is big and we going need that for the rest of the series so Missoula is describing what he was doing as great as talented as big you can see the the finals MVP the odds makers have also seen things shift after last night but perk yeah we heard missoula’s vocabulary on her steps porzingis but do you have a word of the day sir to describe what he did in game one absolutely I do tpin it you know what that means what does it mean tpet is it English no it’s not English what is it it’s it’s laan Lan carry on it means carry on and laan you know why cuz he told all of us to carry our asses on that’s what he did no one expected Chris dzingis to come out after being out 38 days and have 18 points first half 20 what 21 20 for the game six boards and his defensive impact was impressive he was the reason that they won that game last night he set the tone when he came in Off the Bench the lead went up he was just into the game the crowd was feeling him and I thought everybody else uh they they they they thrived off of his VI well just a couple of days ago he was saying when reporters were asking him about if he can run at 100% if he felt like he was going to be back to 100% he sort of was a little bit koi waited to sort of answer the questions and then last night I asked him okay so was that just you needed to feel it out was there a moment that you knew and he said how can you know what it’s going to be like until you’re actually out there Richard he dominated but is he the most important Celtic you know last night he was last night he was the most important Celtic with the way he played in the energy but for the series for the series I it no I I like I I I wanted to kind of say yes in the beginning especially off his performance I personally don’t I think he is one of the most important pieces but I don’t think he is the most important I still stand by it’s still Jason Tatum it’s still Jason Tatum when he plays at an elite level it all hubs around but Jason Tatum has so much help to me they have three different guys on their team that could possibly win finals MVP for zingis you’ve seen his odds Jaylen Brown played outstanding and they got Jason Tatum so to single him out in 20 minutes in game one and say he’s going to be the most important I think they could have won the game without him perk doesn’t believe so try tost that what I look [Music] [Applause] like NBA [Applause]

  1. If your a foreigner and you learn Latvian language like for real for real learn it, then you are automatically famous here and known by majority of the country

  2. I have said that Tatum and Brown could be the best dou ever if they stick together, but if Porzingis can stay healthy and these 3 stay together over the next decade, they could be the best trio

  3. We continue(turpinām) next word in Latvian…Vienradzis-Unicorn! 🦄☘ Celtics fans+2 million Latvians! 💪
