No One Realizes What The Denver Nuggets Are Doing..
the Denver Nuggets were supposed to win another NBA championship this year and the NBA knows that the NBA absolutely hates what the Denver Nuggets are doing and I think we can all agree that they have all the reasons to do so no one realizes what the Denver Nuggets are doing and that’s what we’re going to talk about in this video I was really thought the Nuggets were going to win the NBA championship this year and I was very hopeful about the Denver Nuggets this NBA season but then Anthony Edwards came along and surprised us all now everyone’s talking about what the Nuggets need to do in the off season to have a shot at the championship again their bench didn’t perform well especially with Jamal Murray injured during the playoffs they relied too much on Nica yic to score and Aaron Gordon had to step up because Michael Porter Jr was inconsistent and Murray was out the starting lineup showed a lot of promise with great stats and exciting games but they really need to fix up their bench the depending on Christian Brown alone isn’t going to get them far they should look into adding players like Justin holiday and Reggie Jackson to make the team stronger overall looking at what they need to do this off season the Denver Nuggets have some trade options right now they’re just 20K under the second apron and kyp’s got that player option they might need to try and trade zek Nagi I mean they could also consider Hunter Tyson but I don’t really see the point I think Tyson has potential to become a Val valuable player in the long run Zeke Nagi is earning a lot over the next four years with a total of 33 million but his stats aren’t that impressive averaging only 3.2 points per game and 2.2 rebounds with a 46% shooting rate he had better stats in 2021 to 22 but couldn’t keep up the momentum they should probably hold on to kcp though he’s a solid perimeter Defender with a player option of $15 million which is a good deal for skills he averaged 10 points per game 2.4 rebounds with a 46% shooting rate and 40% from three sure his stats might not look extraordinary on paper but when you add his Elite defense he’s definitely worth keeping he limited opponents to shooting only 40% from the field this year even when guarding the other team’s top player as I mentioned this lineup had the best plus minus in the NBA for starting lineups so the solution seemed pretty clear focus on improving the bench I’ve got some trade ideas to share despite the constraints of the new CBA vsi mik could be a great addition as a backup point guard mik has shown interest in playing alongside Nicola yic and during his time with Charlotte he averaged 11 points and six assists per game shooting 44% from the field in just 27 minutes of play he’d be a solid trade option to compliment joic I also believe B bones Highland deserves another chance with the team he’s a fantastic scorer Off the Bench and I’m not sure why they traded him before despite averaging only 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15 minutes he showed potential putting up 12 points three boards and nearly three assists per game while shooting 40% from the field and 38% from three bringing him back would be a smart move for a team with limited options there are few other options to consider as well Kelly olenic is one who averaged 10 points five boards and 4.4 assists per game this year for the Raptors shooting 55% from the field and 39% from three Royce O’Neal is another possibility he started the year with the Jazz then moved to the Nets and played about 20 minutes per game with the Suns he averaged around eight points five rebounds and three assists then there’s Cory kissper it might be but maybe the Wizards would consider a trade involving Zeke Nagi and a couple of future picks for kisper who averaged 13 points and three rebounds per game he’s not the strongest defensively but as a scorer and shooter Off the Bench he could comp niika yic well in terms of free agents Gordon Hayward has been in the rumor mill he’s not going back to OKC after some comments made by Sam pry with Charlotte this year he averaged 14.5 points 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game shooting 48% from the field in about 25 games it’s no secret that the nuggets are interested in him despite injury concerns he’s a proven scorer and could be a valuable addition to the team Lonnie Walker is another option to consider especially if you’re looking for someone who can light up the scoreboard Off the Bench and shoot threes at a 39% rate Kyle Lowry could be a solid backup point guard especially if Reggie Jackson ends up leaving Lowry averaged eight points three assists and two rebounds per game shooting 38% from Beyond The Arc then there’s Mason Plum Lee who averaged about 5.3 points and five rebounds per game this year shooting 56% from the field in just 15 minutes of play now let’s take a quick break here if you’re enjoying this video make sure to hit the like button drop a comment below and hit that subscribe subscribe button it seems like a lot of people watching aren’t subscribed yet so if that’s you consider subscribing all right let’s get back to it and look at what else to nuggets should focus on keeping their core together is crucial especially considering they had the best plus minus as a lineup in the league the starters aren’t the problem that’s for sure you’ve got quite the lineup with the three-time MVP a top-notch Wings scorer like Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray who’s one of the leag League’s best point guards especially in the playoffs when he’s healthy then you’ve got two Solid 3 andd players in Aaron Gordon and kyp though Gordon’s more about defense and gluing the team together than shooting threes speaking of Porter Jr he’s just 25 years old and has played only four years in the league due to injuries this season he averaged 17 points seven rebounds and 1.5 assists per game shooting 48% from the field and 40% from three on six attempts per game playing 81 games sure he had a rough playoff series against the Timberwolves shooting poorly but overall he’s a fantastic scorer and one of the League’s top shooters Murray is usually a playoff standout but this year he struggled with a calf injury averaging 18.4 points 4.4 rebounds shooting 40% from the field and 30% from three normally he steps up big big time in the playoffs but the injury clearly affected his performance this time looking ahead the nuggets have the 28th pick in the draft and I’ve got three names in mind for them drawn Holmes from Dayton is versatile and could be a great asset Off the Bench especially alongside pton Watson Kevin mcculler Jr is another solid option he’s a strong Defender and scorer but he needs to address an the issue lastly Jaylen Tyson from California is athletic defends well and and could seamlessly integrate into the Nuggets lineup from day one there are definitely some players who could come in and make a big impact plus the team needs to focus on internal development last year’s rookies like Hunter Tyson Jaylen picket and Julian strawther all have potential to contribute while strawther got more playing time this year I believe all three can grow into solid NBA players Payton Watson is another player to watch although he struggled in the play playoffs he’s still early in his career and his room to improve especially on offense overall I don’t think major adjustments are needed the starting lineup is solid the key is improving the bench Reggie Jackson might be on his way out but players like Christian Brown and Payton Watson can develop further keeping Justin holiday and adding a couple of strong bench pieces could turn this team into Championship contenders again as long as Michael Porter Jr stays consistent and M Murray stays healthy
