picked up on yesterday’s show the magic number can we reach 30 hit that sub button right now if you want year round and free Warriors coverage that’s informative insightful entertaining thought-provoking and involves you dub Nation with that we got a juicy show on tap for you today [Music] and this is Golden State Warriors today by chat sports I’m Chase senior no matter where you are how you’re tuned in we appreciate you for making Today’s show a part of your day on the docket blockbuster trade ideas three trade ideas to be specific that could bring the dubs back into title contention by next year what the Warriors need here let’s start off on that front Golden State I think is missing a reliable co-star next to Steph Curry Steph Curry is still in his prime he’s still an alien he’s still playing at an elite level but the dubs could really use a player who can take over parts of a game and create his own shot when Steph Curry needs a breather when Steph Curry is a little bit worn down if Steph Curry is out the dubs just need that other co-star Klay Thompson hasn’t been able to be that guy over the last couple of years consistently enough do the Warriors have that player on their roster in Jonathan kaminga is he Steph Curry’s co-star he certainly made some of the strides and the leaps that we were wanting him to make last year I thought the defensive tenacity defensive focus and overall basketball Focus was a little bit better and then as far as the numbers go there was that leap 16 points per game 53% from the field he can definitely get better with the long range shot the hard truth though to this is that I don’t think that kaminga is the co-star for a championship team if you’re looking to win a title next year down the road could he continue this Jaylen brown type of ascent to the point where Jaylen Brown is winning Western Conference Finals or Eastern Conference Finals MVP and could kaminga win a Western Conference Finals MVP at some point down the road yeah maybe it took bran a little while to get to the level where he is right now and kaminga could be on that trajectory but he’s not on that timeline for the Warriors timeline of winning a championship as the second best player within the next two years that’s just realistic here and you look at the Warriors trade assets you want to bring in a star player who helps you win a title earlier you might have to trade away Jonathan kaminga Andrew Wiggins Moses Moody Gary pyton II also trade assets for the dubs and then you also look at the draft Capital first round picks in 2025 2026 2027 and in 2028 those are pretty good draft picks the Warriors could use at their disposal or in a trade to bring in a marquee player which we’ll get to here coming up here in just a bit who is your ideal Warriors trade Target this off seon shout them out down below in the comment section I wasn’t lying to you when I told you we were going to get to some Blockbuster trade targets here are three that we want to dissect on the show let’s begin with Brandon Ingram I think it’s a viable trade Target because I think that you can bring him in realistically Mark Stein reporting that the Pelicans will quote aggressively pursue an Ingram trade this year he got benched at the end of the year and it looks as though the Pelicans confidence in him a little bit down they’re not sure if he’s going to be a part of the Core Group group for the Pelicans moving forward bi he’s a good shot Creator who’s become an underrated facilitator throughout his career been a pretty efficient player for the volume 46.8% on his field goals 36 plus per on his three-point shots the reason why he could be had value has decreased due to a year of regression and it seemed as though he lost his confidence a little bit what if the Warriors done a good job of instilling some confidence in some of these players throughout time and then you put them into your Player Development Factory and you turn them into pretty good players bi is a pretty damn good player and this is a down year that he had in 2023 2024 right almost 21 points per game five boards almost six times 49% from the field 35 a. half% from three-point range and could this trade make the Pelicans better and the Warriors better it makes the dubs better for sure because you get Brandon anger a wing scorer who can find twine and score the rock all three levels the Pelicans then get Andrew Wiggins who helps them defensively still a really good athlete who doesn’t need the basketball as much to be effective they get Moses Moody as that catch and shoot guy and then you give them two first round picks in 2026 and 2028 and bi about 28 years old right now from my view Ingram could could be the best player Golden State could acquire that wouldn’t require trading either Brandon psky or Jonathan kaminka blockbuster trade Target number two Kevin Durant older player some risk here but as compared to other players you’re not sure about KD is a known commodity who last year Uber efficient and you know how he fits alongside Steph Curry now before continue to move forward make sure you subscribe to the show any rumors news Buzz traction that happens pertaining to the Warriors we have you covered so hit that sub button this is why we produce content for all of you as for Kevin Durant back to him Suns ended a frustrating season getting swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves as Minnesota embarks on that trip to the Western Conference finals and the Suns general manager said there’s no scenario where the big three is traded talking about Devin Booker KD and Bradley Beal but KD did Express his frustration with his role what’s crazy he feels as though he was not utilized correctly and look at the numbers that he was able to put up ridiculous 27 points per 6 and a half rebounds still able to shoot 52 plus per from the field and 41% from three KD is 35 years old so this would fit that one to twoyear timeline of trying to win a title you do have some issues about him being able to stay healthy you look at the previous three years he’s missed a lot of time but this past year did play 74 games and Durant the efficiency numbers throughout his career have just been ridiculous but at 35 years old still getting the job done 52% and nearly 38% on pull-ups in 201 23 2024 he’ll get a lot of those opportunities on this Warriors team the success with Durant as I noted it is proven so Golden State could part with topend young talent and feel comfortable about that risk of bringing him in you might have to massage some things between Ked and Draymond Green but have they been able to do that over the last couple of years here’s another trade idea for you dubs get KD you have to part ways with Jonathan kaminga you trade young for old but then you also shed some more salary in cavon Looney and Drew Wiggins and you give up draft Capital 2025 first round pick and then blockbuster trade Target number three another older player here it is LeBron James but like KD with the production with the efficiency theing father time it is nuts to think that LeBron James is going to be 40 years old on December 30th it’s just crazy now he has a $51.1 million player option for 2024 2025 he is long said he’d love to play with Steph Curry he’s admires his play Dan Hurley did turn down the Lakers head coaching job so what does that mean for LeBron he could have his besti and podcasting partner JJ reck take over his head coach that seems like a likely route the Lakers could go but Dan Hurley would have been an exciting addition for the Lakers at that head coaching spot he is the current goat in college basketball back-to-back titles with Yukon and his offensive system sprinkled at all levels of basketball it’s very widely respected and again the efficiency with LeBron like it was for KD last year it’s just crazy to think how these players are still playing at this high of a level and LeBron like KD played more than 70 games LeBron James almost 26 points per seven plus rebounds eight assists left last year he shot 54% from the field and 41% from three-point range I mean you look at those numbers are you kidding me right there that’s nuts now how could the Warriors convince LeBron to come to Golden State let’s talk about that over the next 60 seconds this is a crazy scenario to think about but LeBron James has long said I would love to play with Steph Curry I respect the game of Steph Curry the Warriors are trying to capitalize on Steph Curry still being in the midst of his prime playing at an alien likee level you have the next year or two to really capitalize to try to win a championship bringing in LeBron James would allow the Warriors I believe to get back to title contention I know he’s going to be 40 years old in December still playing at an elite level what if the Warriors could convince LeBron on to opt out of his $ 51.1 million player option signed with golden state and then the dub draft bronnie James with the 52nd overall pick you want to win a title that might do it right there now the gold State Warriors Los Angeles Lakers trade idea this would be a sign in trade or an optin in trade Warriors receive LeBron Lakers get Jonathan kaminga Andre Wiggins Gary pton the second cavon Looney and a 2028 first round pick that deal could also include Chris Paul’s $30 million salary so you bring in LeBron making a ton of money but then you get rid of some players and then if you can get rid of Chris Paul and facilitate that as well it puts you in an interesting spot Lakers only make this move if they no longer believe they can win a championship with LeBron and they want to rebuild or r tool if they would have brought in Dan Hurley that could have signaled a rebuild maybe something like that could have taken place I think it’s unlikely so pick a trade three blockbuster trade targets for the Warriors here Brandon Ingram Kevin Durant LeBron James which player do you most want to see Dawning and rocking a Warriors uniform don’t forget to hit that sub Button as always thanks for your support here on Golden State Warriors today and we’ll catch you next time [Music]

  1. This is because he has proven to work well with GSW. KD is the only team he has a won a ring with. KD and Steph know each other really well which makes them have great chemistry with this team.

  2. jk is on that trajectory. keep him. need a big body like steven adams or robin lopez. particularly if they can't obtain jarret afroman allen. i like santos and quionez. but the dubs will overeact. over spend. and will do a panic move. graymond also

  3. One of the biggest problems for the Dubs is the system they play in. It's designed for distance shooting. Without Klay, we have ONE reliable distance shooter. That isn't what the system is built for. The system needs to change. The other problem? Kerr and his ineptitude at developing players and adjusting his system. We cant be a championship contender relying on the "splash brother" days. Period. JK been putting up the numbers he has in a system built for the exact opposite of who he is. Imagine JK in a system truly built for his strengths. Dubs extending Kerr was the worst thing they could've done. He's been exposed.

  4. The success with Durant? Come on. We living in the past there. It's been damn near a decade plus injuries since he's been here. It is NO guarantee it would work again. To claim it would because it did when everyone was in their PRIME PRIME, is ridiculous.

  5. The success with Durant? Come on. We living in the past there. It's been damn near a decade plus injuries since he's been here. It is NO guarantee it would work again. To claim it would because it did when everyone was in their PRIME PRIME, is ridiculous.

  6. Lakers keep Lebron, & we get AD! Lebron could get Kuminga, his #1 fan Draymond & heck we could even throw in Looney!😁

  7. The best ideal target that fits the Warriors system in my opinion, its not a sexy pick, but its Isaiah Hartenstein. He meets the contract demands that is he doesn't require a monster contract and he rebounds and is a big man. All of you with these unrealistic trades didnt get the memo that Lacob is cutting salary and not all the NBA teams are going to crumble and give up their stars for the Warriors leftover scraps. I don't see a realistic trade for a star unless the Warriors trade Kuminga and/or a few first rounders. If you're not willing to accept that truth, expect this offseason to be quiet in trades and heavily dependent on free agents.

  8. We want to get younger not older . We want to be competitive yet plan for the future without Curry . That won’t happen by mortgaging the future by giving up on our younger players

  9. No 👎 to KD, LJ and BI. They are old! 👴

As I said in the 2024 regular season, GSW cam target Isaiah Hartenstein, Goga Bitazde, Wendell Carter, Jr.

  10. Bring KD back give us the unmatched level of basketball only that team provided in the history of nba, for us basketball lovers to enjoy one more time.

  11. We don't even need to trade for a superstar IMO, but as long as we keep the 4 rookies (Kuminga, Moody, Podz and TJD) I don't have a problem with the front office trying to strengthen the roster. Going after KD makes no sense when we already have a better roster than Phoenix and there's no guarantee he'll improve the team and/or avoid injury, plus paying two-thirds of the salary cap to just 2 players over 35 is pure lunacy. Lebron would be a great addition but only if he opts out and becomes a free agent so we don't lose anything, while trading Wiggs and Moody (or some picks) for Ingram is probably the best idea as he should help to win now and still has the majority of his career in front of him, which means long-term value. All that said, we really need a starting centre unless they want to gamble on TJD taking a huge leap next season.

  12. Yall are crazy if bron and kd come to the team they gotta chance forsure idc what u say they old but all of them is still top 15 or 20 players in this league and can still play

  13. Agree that the younger players need to step up . I believe that Kerr’s philosophy of relying heavily on the veterans at the expense of giving the younger players more time to gain experience has been a factor in retarding their growth and development . Warriors did start playing the younger players towards the end . It seemed that the played better with this infusion of youth. Moody needs to play . We need to see what he’s fully capable of providing us , likewise we need to see if Lester can be a consistent scorer in this league . We need to get bigger so we need someone like Kai Soto who provides height , athleticism , rim protection and scoring touch from the pivot
