Bob Cousy: “I’m 95 fucking years old with one foot in the grave and I can barely move…I know I’m in overtime. So everything in your life becomes more meaningful. And one of the last things I want to be able to see is for the Celtics to hang up banner No. 18.”

Win it for Cooz, Russell, and Walton!

Tommy didn’t see it. Bill didn’t see it.

    Let Cooz see it.

I remember thinking approximately 5 years ago how it’s crazy all the 60s Celtics were still alive. In the meantime Havlicek, KC Jones, Sam Jones, Tommy and Russell have all passed away along with many legends from other franchises including West today. It’s crazy how the oldest one out of them is still alive (🪵knock knock🪵). Good luck to Bob and hopefully we win this one for him

If this team won’t do it, he’ll fucking do it himself no problem

Hope Tatum sees this. Now that Pingus is gone/limited, we need these shots to start going down otherwise we are in trouble. When KP was off the court, we are dead even with the Mavs in point differential. At home with all their role players bricking left and right. This series is far from over

God damn if that doesn’t motivate you then idk lmao

  6. Bob Cousy is an absolute legend, and this quote just adds to his legendary status. Age ain’t got nothing on him!

First Mike retires and asks the team to win it, now Cous is throwing down the gauntlet. Let’s go!

Racist bum spent is final years supporting MAGA who cares what he wants?

The one saving grace if we somehow fuck up this finals is this racist will never see his team win another ship.

Let’s go, Boston! Do it for the legends!

When I was a kid, Cousey called games, but I grew up in Worcester, so maybe it was different for those broadcasts. But I didn’t see Mike and Tommy until I moved west and started watching gamepass.

It wasn’t just Cousey; I think it was Mike, too. I was just a kid, but I remember Cousey calling games.

I hope we can do it not just for Cooz but also for Mike and Tommy (even though he won’t see it) and all the friends we “lost” along the way. In some small way for Kyrie, too, he invested in Tatum and Jaylen when he was here, so he plays a part in getting us to this point here…ironically so.

Cous could probably still drive the lane against Doncic

Do it for Russell, do it for Cousy, do it for Walton. Get the job done tonight C’s 🙏

  13. I hope you see #18, #19 & #20, Cooz. Smiling the whole time.

ESPN: Jayson Tatum murders Bob Cousy with 47 points in title clincher.

You know bobs got the TV on mute so he doesn’t have to listen to JJ Reddicks smug ass

I hope he lives to 120!

    And never sees 1
    #18 fuck the C’s

  17. I caddied at Worcester Country Club for a summer to make a bit of cash when I was 13. Cousy’s name came up and I couldnt believe I had the chance to caddy for him. Carried his bag for 4 hours and when I dropped his bag off at his Caddilac he signed my card and gave me a $0.25 tip. Was happy for the opportunity but never carried his bag again that summer.

OK Celtics, Cousy told you what he needs. Nw go get it for him!

I hope this fires up the guys even more. I know I would want to leave everything out there to get the franchise another chip.
